I Called It Two Years Ago

Two years ago, on the eve of the 2008 election of Obama, I predicted this:

2010 will be a repeat of 1994.

2010 was 1994, except the wave this time was even bigger. How could I have such stunning prescience? Simple, really. I comprehended two basic facts about the political landscape.

1. In 2008, the voters did not recognize how leftist Obama really was at heart. Hope and change, delivered by the propaganda arm of the Democrat party, aka the MSM, sugarcoated Obama’s true radical nature and misled a misty-eyed electorate justifiably fed-up with Bush. I figured Obama would govern and behave like the inborn progressive he is, which he has, and that this would incite a push-back from the electorate in two years, primarily among middle-class whites and independents.

2. The economy would remain bad, which would mean that the party in power would lose. The worse the economy, the worse the losses. This is about as close to an iron law in politics as there is. In 2012, the Democrats will be perceived as the party in power because Obama is at the helm, and the Republicans have only the House. (It may be a blessing in disguise that Republicans did not win the Senate, and thus the public’s perception of being the party in power, because they cannot be tarred in 2012 with failing to fix the economy.)

How did I know the economy would remain bad? First, progressive policies rarely improve economic outlooks. Obama’s policies were doomed to fail, or have little ameliorative effect. Second, there are two main structural forces working against an economic recovery any time soon: mass immigration of low-skilled, low human capital people of whom 2/3rds reliably, and perhaps congenitally, vote socialist, and higher oil prices caused by the arrival of Peak Oil. Oil and human capital are the grease in the cogs of the economy; restrict and degrade each respectively, and you are looking at a long term stagnation, if not a worsening, of the economy.

My prediction for the 2012 general election:

Obama will lose, but barely and despite an economy in the crapper that should have ensured a humiliating landslide loss, thanks to demographic shifts toward fewer whites and more Hispanics.

Republicans will gradually become the de facto white party. Identity politics will entrench, assured by an increasingly diverse and fragmented electorate. (Proximity + diversity = war.)

The economy will stay bad, actually will get worse. Unemployment will hit 12-15%, the dollar will continue losing value and maybe its spot as the world’s currency, inflation will kick into high gear, gold will hit record highs, amnesty* will encourage another massive inflow of immigrants from Mexico and Central America, and steadily and inexorably rising oil prices putting the screws to any nascent recovery will be the backdrop to it all.

Total speculation informed by a dash of psychological and electoral diagnosis: Chris Christie and Marco Rubio will be the Republican ticket.

*We are entering a very dangerous lame duck session of Congress. Expect Pelosi & co. to pull off an amnesty coup in the next couple of months. She’s that egotistical.

Slightly related, I’ve heard that some Stormfront types want to create a separate White homeland. I’m just wondering:

Do you realize that the most ambitious young men and women born in this white homeland would flee to places like Manhattan, San Francisco, or Los Angeles, places that are seen as “exciting” as soon as they could? West Virginia, Wyoming, Idaho, Iowa etc are states that have been almost entirely white for the past 100 years. My understanding is that every year, the smartest and most ambitious young men and women leave West Virginia to live in more exciting vibrant cities where they interact with Asians, Jews, liberals and other types. Many of the most talented ones never return to West Virginia. When they tire of big city life, they would move to suburbs near the city rather than back to a hypothetical white homeland, which would create the braindrain that’s already seen in many Mid-Western/Southern communities.

So there are already states that are almost entirely white, it’s just that no one is clamouring to live there.

They weren’t able to unseat Harry Reid which was unbelievable and it was pro-life conservative dems who took the brunt of it. The republicans don’t have a filibuster proof majority. worst case nothing will happen and everyone will yell at each other on the floor of the house and it will make for many lulz on the daily show.

Voters will change their minds again in 2012 and the House will probably go back to the Dems.

The unemployment statistic normally cited in the news is so rigged and politicized it is unusable.

When congressmen are celebrating because 99 weeks after the recession began people are running out of government benefits so they are no longer classified as “unemployed-looking for work” but “unemployed-not looking for work” so they can boast lower unemployment rates in the media you know things are messed up.

lol who let the NRO editors have their way with this thread?

Having been born in Los Angeles county and having lived there for 10 years off and on, I can assure everyone here that no one ambitious is clamoring to live there – quite the opposite. Everyone with families or aspirations to have a family leaves as soon as they can. It’s almost like Peter Brimelow had a crystal ball when he wrote “Alien Nation.” Aside from that, California generally has a housing bubble inflated with good intentions over the past decade and a half, and now all you read from Californian married women on Facebook is “My husband and I are moving out of state.” Women watch HGTV and see that $200k will get you a mansion in the midwest while it’ll get you a hovel in CA, for the reasons alluded to in the Sailer article.

I can speak to New York or SF, but from what I’ve read, the middle class* is almost non-existent in those places.

The thing that attracts midwestern girls to Los Angeles and New York are Hollywood and the fashion industries, respectively. Such women are not mom material trust me. IOW, they’re demographic dead-ends in from the get go.

In short, I think this trend you describe exists mostly in your mind. Family-forming couples do not move to high-cost, family-unfriendly areas unless they’re planning only 1.2 kids when the wife is 35.

Before you go making these platitude-laden smug assertions, you should at least consider the history of a country like Germany, which has divided and re-united numerous times over things like religious and minor ethnic differences. Then consider the US, which has major differences, and see if you can extrapolate.

You can and have done better than this. It’s too breezy and simple to say voters did not recognize how leftist Obama really is. Voters do not recognize how leftist everything is, how fully hostile institutions and established society now are to their well-being. The propaganda activity on the part of the Democrats you describe actual is conventional and unremarkable. Progressively-infected people have assimilated this sort of deception quite fully, so it is inflicted upon people in their daily lives, and it is very hard to defend against. This site, actually, through analysis of game, has afforded me tactical psychological armor and weaponry to help fight the fight as completely as I ever have, but that’s another story. See? You’re getting me all butch and aroused again. LOVE IT.

You’re wrong. Observe: the neutral media has its knives crafted and sharpened already. Are you unable to see the narrative? It’s unfolding before us. We are being led to wonder, “Can the no-compromise, inexperienced Tea Party candidates participate in rulership [i.e. country-fucking]?” Oh, I wonder. Can they? What will we end up concluding, neutral media? Don’t keep me in suspense! Actually, keep me in all the suspense you want, because I’m unaffected. I already understand that the fix is in and our country will continue to break down and malfunction regardless, and that when that happens there will have been some magic bill or measure or program or airy spirit of bipartisan cooperation that WOULD have fixed all, were it not for the stubborn, retarded Tea Party candidates.

To the extent that we are fooled into participating and thinking we have representation, to that extent we will be scapegoats, and worse.

These are the people who were most hurt by the recession, and the most hurt by globalization. What they don’t realize is that theor jobs are gone forever, and neither party is going to be able to bring them back.

I think you’re outlook for the future is flawed too. I think things will get much better once the bulk of the baby boomers die off. How do you explain your own state that can’t even vote out degenerate incumbents like Boxer, Feinstein et al.

I said that that was the best outcome we could hope for, not that we’re smart enough to do it. Clearly we’re not.

Ok, I suppose I can buy that on the surface, but still, Pelosi is still IN. Reid also – so it’s not just California’s degeneracy.

The Perspective actually now has become:

if American voters are still so stupid after decades of public failure, then keeping these incumbents is the proverbial FATAL Flaw.

No amount of blog-blather and webhit histrionics will change that – if indeed it is true that it is a death sentence.

  52. A few things.

In my mind, this is the Republicans’ last chance. If they don’t walk their talk this time, they will be replaced as a party. I agree with those who think this is a tall order, given how alike both parties have become in recent decades.

I disagree with the Chateau’s opinion that the Republican party will become increasingly white from here on out. The wins of people like Mark Rubio, a few representatives in Texas, and elsewhere suggest that hispanics as a group aren’t the monolithic mass of angry, bitter, entitled parasites liberal Democrats would like them to be. There’s a lot more diversity of opinion there than meets the eye. Granted, those lower down on the socio-economic ladder, including many if not most of the illegals, are a problem. It would shock me to death if this upcoming lame-duck session provided any kind of amnesty for illegals, however. The only big thing they’ll take up are the Bush tax cuts. Based on what I’ve read I also think that a sizable number of blacks (40-50% perhaps) would vote conservative if a warm, genuine, charismatic conservative were to woo their vote in the right way. The dearth of such leaders is what makes them stick with tradition and consistently pull the “D” lever.

I agree that the economy will remain anemic for quite some time, as the fundamental problems temporarily covered up by easy credit and the housing boom will take awhile to fix themselves. I also agree that we’ve reached peak oil, economically if not physically; any uptick in economic activity will result in greater demand for oil, with resultant price increases. But that will spurn efforts at efficiency across the board in ways the government could never hope to duplicate.

California, Oregon, and my current home state of Washington are absolutely pathetic liberal echo-chambers of unreality. It literally takes my breath away to see how divorced from reality many peope on the Left coast are. With all the problems looming in California, for those people to have voted Jerry Brown as their governor speaks volumes – they don’t want to give up their unions, and their “calls to diversity” and their high taxes. This wouldn’t be a problem, except California is a large part of the US economy, and as it goes, so goes the country. In the coming years the federal government may actually have to bail the state out, which would be more disgusting than having to bail the banks out. The only good thing about it is if the right people are in charge in Washington, such a bailout could have some pretty stringent conditions, including breaking and renegotiating union contracts at all levels there. As for Washington state, and Western Washington in particular, you only needed to watch Patty Murray’s not-quite-victory speech late last night to know how much ether she and her supporters have inhaled. Not only did she not mention anything about the Republican tsunami going on everywhere, or the fact that she barely eeked out a win, but at one point she spoke about how she won and that proves her agenda is the better way. I spit my pepsi out when I heard that one. I gotta get out of this state.

In spite of everything and because of it, I’m guardedly optimistic. If I’m choose not to be, I’m just handing the gallows rope to my opponents, and I won’t do that.

  53. Republicans will gradually become the de facto white party.

That’s interesting; I never thought of that. I suspect that the Asian population of the US, which is roughly 5%, will vote Republican then.

So if the USA is 65% white, add the Asian vote making 70% total, you have hegemony.

The only problem then are SWPL’s, assuming they always vote Democrat. What is the percentage of SWPL’s amongst whites?

Also, I think Curious is wrong. Whites don’t flock to the big cities to enjoy the cultural diversity, that’s a myth. Take a look at Seattle, where I used to live. Whites congregate amongst other whites; the cities are nothing but ethnic enclaves, like wards. Hispanics stick with hispanics, blacks with blacks and whites with whites.

Sure, one can go downtown to the movies, but everyone returns to their ‘enclave’ after.

  54. Paraphrasing the late great Bill Hicks, the American people chose the “puppet on the right” this time around. As usual, no one worth a fart ran in my locality, and I’ve basically given up on endorsing this rotten charade of a system in the first place. However, I was watching a few results with interest, mostly to gauge how totally cornholed the spirit of this country is.

*Rand Paul won. He’s not half as good as his dad, but at least he’s a critic of The Fed.

*Arch-feminist criminals Barbara Boxer (Ms. VAWA) and Patty Murray look set to sail back in. If they couldn’t be defeated this election, they’re probably there for life. Interestingly, the pre-election polls showed the first race to be tight and showed Murray to be losing: wonder what the exit polls show. Washington state has a history of elections being stolen, but of course, how can you trust any election with the ridiculously insecure electronic voting machines out there these days.

*Tom Tancredo lost his race for governorship. He’s an old-school, “race realist” conservative. Ie, what we’d call normal a few decades ago.

*And California, despite electing Jerry “Moonbat” Brown and having a general clean sweep for the Democrats, cannot even legalize marijuana. Jonas Goldberg was onto something, big time, when he declared this combination of leftism and nanny statism to be Liberal Fascism. What a completely useless state. You can’t even legally smoke a joint while they go full retard on letting in the illegals and passing every left-wing agenda under the sun. Those Democrats sure want to stay out of your life, eh?

In short: fuck this country. None of the above really matter, and change, if it ever happened peacefully and through established means, would have to start locally. But still, it had some symbolic value, at least, showing where the plebians stand, and it shows the USS America is a turd totally swirling the bowl.

But, alas, as with most things political, you misread this election. The GOP resurgence was the blunt knee-jerk of the electorate to a continued downward spiral of the American economy, and nothing more. Trying to explain policy to the average citizens of any democracy is like trying to explain musical theory to the line outside an American Idol tryout- a waste of time. People know the economy sucks and they’re turning, flailing really, this way and that to try and change it.

But this election won’t do the trick. The empty proposals offered by both the GOP and Dems won’t do the trick. Nothing the government is willing to do will do the trick in a world where 2.5 Billion people in China and India are willing to do the jobs we have here in America for a fraction of what we pay minimum wage earners. They know they dodged a bullet by not having been up for reelection yesterday. None of them have a liberal Las Vegas, Boulder or Seattle in their states to save them. They know they’re going down in 2 years if they don’t get with the program.

Being frightened, this particular “Lucky Seven” will probably give the GOP a defacto Senate majority in voting yes to House bills such as a possible outright repeal of Obamacare in February (unless new GOP house members are bought off and don’t bother doing that, thinking we won’t notice).

Manchin of West Virginia all but switched to being a Republican in the last few weeks. I don’t see him warming up to Obama any time soon. His TV ads featured a rifle shooting at Obama legislation. Chalk up another vote for the GOP in the Senate on many issues.

What’s good about this is that the perception in 2012 will still be that the Dems still controlled the Senate and the White House. Harry Reid can still be demonized even though he will be toothless the next 2 years.

But the Senate and the House is now in the control of the GOP.

Obama can’t nominate another Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court now. Or then again, maybe he can.

Remember that men got backstabbed by the last Republican controlled Congress when it made deals with feminists to get their war votes.

They saw men’s rights as bargaining chips.

I don’t want to see the likes of Rand Paul pulling a Brownback by making deals with Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray about renewing VAWA and its secret funding channel (the “Something or Other Science Appropriations Act”).

I saw very few Republicans win on “family values” platforms. Just about all the winners ran on “small government” platforms which was refreshing.

Perhaps it will give other nations (Russia, Australia, Canada, Europe, South American Countries, China, Japan, S. The other nations might do things to prevent their own declines and to uphold and even build their own civilizations to heights we’d never thought they could achieve in terms of wealth, (real) freedom, and culture. Greece’s fall might have inspired early Rome. Rome’s fall might have informed early Britan and Spain (before they made many of the same mistakes).

My understanding is that every year, the smartest and most ambitious young men and women leave West Virginia to live in more exciting vibrant cities where they interact with Asians, Jews, liberals and other types.

They go to the big metropolitan areas because that’s where the highest paying jobs are, the most cultural attractions, concentrations of other smart young people, and so on. Not so many go to cities because they have high concentrations of NAMs, i.e. minorities who get affirmative action.

Some diversity has been enriching: most of the various ethnicities from Europe including Jews, high skilled Asians we’ve let in so far, whether from NE Asia or India (if we started letting in lots of lower skilled and lower IQ Indians who tend to come from lower castes (they’re by custom and religion endogamous), not so much.

The problem is the massive amounts of low IQ Mexican and Central American heavily Indio immigration we’re allowing. When all externalities are counted they’re a considerable net burden on average. They’re bankrupting California for example — with the high costs of educating them and imprisioning them compared to their meager tax contributions. 76. But here’s a way Republicans can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and not do as well in 2012:

I know you’re thinking “They can nominate the feminist Sarah Palin for President”…

But that’s not what I meant just now:

They can pretend they have a mandate on certain positions paid for by lobbyists that no actual voters gave them a mandate on yesterday.

Here’s an example. Yesterday the San Francisco City Council banned the sale of toys with restaurant meals that “fail to meet certain nutritional standards”:

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20101103/us_nm/us_mcdonalds_toys

A small government enthusiast might get a knee jerk reaction that this is the Nanny State going too far.

But VAWA was the Nanny State going too far because it said men were definitely unhealthy to women.

There isn’t an argument that some of McDonalds meals are outright poison for kids. So this city rule isn’t anywhere near as outrageous as VAWA.

Although debatable, it isn’t far-fetched to imagine that a responsible small government would protect children from being bribed by poison sellers. In any case, while this can be argued, it just ain’t an example of what voters were angry about yesterday.

It was the Independents who won this election for the GOP this time.

If Independents don’t want unlabeled trans fats in food sold to the public or benzene added to shampoo, a more “principled” conservative ought not think the new “wave” gave any kind of mandate to block them based on some Aspie interpretation of “small government”.

The GOP needs to keep ears to the ground and listen to those independents who elected them this time around, after staying home in 2006 and 2008.

The principal reason the economy remains sluggish and unemployment so high, is that many consumers are paying down debt and hence have lowered their spending and aren’t increasing it during this weak recovery phase. They’re doing so because their home equity is way lower than it was at the end of 2007, and so are their 401k’s. Nor are wages increasing much. I.e. not only are consumers paying down their debt instead of spending, that’s what many of them should be doing.

This pay down isn’t going to be over in six months. It’s likely to still be going on into the 2012 election.

Further higher commodity prices largely due to the Fed’s printing so much money (combined with robust growth in the China, India and Brazil etc.) are going to more and more work their way into inflation in the US. That won’t happen much in the next six months or a year either.

  84. Regarding Social Security programs, I’m not sure where Gunslinger is getting his numbers, but they’re wrong by a factor of 10 at least. The Social Security Administration’s own Web site offers some helpful info, since the agency has to put together an annual budget and fiscal outlook. One such recent document is here at Social Security’s web site:

    http://www.socialsecurity.gov/budget/2009bud.pdf

That takes you through 2009, and you can see that projected outlays (outgoing cash) for Social Security “trust fund” programs – these are the programs ostensibly funded by the payroll tax money – are projected at just over $649 billion. That includes $537 billion projected for old folks (OASI) and $112 billion projected for disability payments.

The problem with the “trust fund,” and the reason I put the phrase in quotation marks, is that there is no trust fund, except as an accounting gimmick.

For decades, Social Security taxes brought in a lot more money than benefits paid out, because the taxes are paid by workers (of whom there were a lot, for awhile, with the Boomers) and the benefits paid mostly to senior citizens (of whom there were fewer, for awhile). Also, the definition of a “disabled” person entitled to collect disability payments used to be much narrower, so there used to be fewer disabled people collecting benefits.

Nowadays, the Boomers are getting older, so there are fewer workers paying payroll taxes. Also, the recession meant fewer jobs, which also temporarily reduced the number of working people paying payroll taxes. Meanwhile, there are lots more retirees and more categories of disabled people collecting benefits. Combine those together, and in 2010 you had Social Security paying out more benefits than the payroll taxes brought in. That isn’t the first time that happened – it also happend in the late 1970’s and early ’80’s. In response, Congress and Reagan agreed to raise the payroll tax up to its current level of 12.4% (Reagan agreed to this tax hike in exchange for lower income tax rates). That brought in a lot more revenue, but now that the Boomers are retiring and fewer people are working, even that revenue isn’t enough.

But that still doesn’t explain why the “trust fund” is a myth. During all the years that the Social Security taxes were running a surplus (more tax revenue than payouts), that money was supposedly going into a “trust fund.” But, by law, the “trust fund” money was invested into government bonds – T-bills. That means that the Federal government loaned out the money to itself, and promised to pay it back with interest later. But by an accounting trick, the government also counts the Social Security taxes as “revenue” for any given fiscal year. That means that, for years, the government budget showed huge tax revenues, which the government then borrowed and spent right then and there. In place of the cash, which they had already spent, the government put lots of government bonds – which are just IOU’s from the government to itself. In that way, the government was able to pretend that its budget was somewhat close to balanced – except that the future obligations to pay didn’t show up on that year’s budget. They are counted as a “future outlay,” not a current-year obligation. So the government could count the tax revenue, spend it, and then pretend that it never had to pay anything back in the future.

Let’s say you go out and borrow $10,000 from a bank, with the loan due in 1 year. You then tell yourself, “Awesome! I earned an extra $10,000 this year!” You then spend the $10,000 on a vacation. You also write yourself an IOU that says “IOU $10,000 in 1 year” and put it in a drawer that you name the “Trust Fund.” And then, when your friends ask you about paying back the loan, you say “Don’t worry about it, I’m covered! I have all the money in my Trust Fund !” That is exactly the trick that the Federal government has tried with Social Security. You can run in circles and put it off for awhile (e.g. borrow more money to pay the first $10,000) but eventually, it catches up to you. You either have to pay or you have to default. But it is certainly not accurate to call the $10,000 IOU-to-yourself a “trust fund.”

So the shorter answer is that the government has already spent all of the “trust fund” money over the past 50 years. There is nothing in the “trust fund” except the government’s promise to pay itself back. But because we are now entering a period where there are lots of retirees (Boomers) and fewer workers, that means that the government will have to fund ongoing payouts with general tax revenue, in addition to the payroll tax revenue. There is not enough revenue to pay everyone what has been promised. Therefore, the government is planning on ways to screw the current (younger, working) generation. They will be forced to pay higher taxes, get lower payouts, retire later, go deeper into government debt, and accept lower standards of living – all so that Grandpa Boomer can “get his.” It’s a last hearty “Fuck You!” from the Boomers to their children and grandchildren.

To put it even more bluntly, Social Security is a pyramid scheme, where the government promised everyone more money than what they put in. Like every pyramid scheme, it works fine for awhile as long as there are lots more suckers buying in than investors cashing out. But eventually, when the early investors outnumber the new suckers, the whole thing collapses. We’re fairly close to that now.

Hey gramps – quit picking my pocket!

in a multicultural society in which the lower IQ strata is actually reprducing above replacement while the higher IQ strata are reproducing below, you can´t avoid a crash and some sort of redistribution of resources

given what we see in the current West, the redistribution can only go from the parasitic classes towards the productive ones.

Also, people should stop saying that retirees have “paid their pensions”. They paid someone else´s pensions, and unless the government can rob some fool to pay for old people´s pensions, they won´t have any.

  86. Peak oil is not at hand. More expensive oil is.

As the price rises more expensive oil can come onto supply. In the US and Canada alone, the estimated 2 trillion barrels of oil in shale and oil sands are much greater than the world’s current 1,200 billion barrels of proven reserves from conventional sources. Surely oil shale and sand sources exist in many other countries if we look for them. The world is currently consuming about 30 billion barrels a year.

  87. Some of you talk a lot about California without knowing a damn thing about how things actually work here.

@Fabian – Fyi, we’ve had a republican governor the past 8 years. Meg Whitman was basically The Governator Pt II.

The big problems with California’s political infrastructure are ballot referendums and the unions, especially the prison guards union.

Ballot referendums are proof that direct democracy doesn’t work. These initiatives are often legislation promoted by special interests (corporations and unions) that’s so shitty that they couldn’t get it through the legislature despite million of dollars spent lobbying. Usually it’s something like “The California Freedom Act” which when actually read says, “Gives the CEO of WellPoint the right to fuck your wife in the ass on your wedding night.” And of course there’s an ad campaign to go with it, funded by “Californians for (some awesome shit)” telling you how awesome everything will be if the initiative is passed. Truth is that in terms of budgeting the legislature and governor’s hand are mostly tied by these initiatives, which often mandate funding for some bullshit or other.

The other problem is the public employees unions. The teachers’, police, firefighters’, and especially the prison guards’ unions. Everybody in cali hates them, even some of their constituents, yet every politician, Dem and Repub, rides their cocks like it’s going out of style. And believe me the repubs are definitely swinging from their nuts just as much as them dems. The unions are universally detested here, and this is coming from a dyed in the wool liberal. But the problem is that nobody can do anything about it because they wield so much political power. The prison guards union is by far the single most potent politcal force in the state. Why do you think prison guards here make over $100k/year with full pension and benefits. Fuck them!

Until cali bans ballot initiatives or people wise up and just start voting ‘No’ on all initiatives by default, and until the public employees unions are broken, California politics will continue to be a mess.

PS – Carly Fiorina was never going to win. The rich Woodside country club republicans that sit on the board of HP absolutely HATE her. Like personal vendetta hate. And those are her people.

You forgot Austin, TX. White as a Bing Crosby concert.

And you’re not looking close enough. The folks moving to NYC aren’t setting up house in the South Bronx or Harlem.

If you see diversity as scenery, then yes, you’ve got a point. But people don’t hunker down in diverse groups.

Ballot referendums are proof that direct democracy doesn’t work.

If a ballot referendum hadn’t passed requiring a 2/3 majority in the legislature to raise taxes some time ago, one can only imagine how dems in the state legislature would have jacked them up in the last couple of years to avoid any cutback at all in lavish public employee union members’ waves and benefits.

  98. peak oil is a scam. when oil gets scarce, the price will go up and it will be used for its higher valued uses. People will stop heating homes with oil because gas electricity or passive solar will do the job albet over the price of oil today but cheeper when oil gets scarce. Oil wioll continue to be used where it is irreplacable, transportation and chemicals. Whe it gets even scarcer and more expensive more users of oil will turn to substitutes, like Brazil uses sugar cane ethinol for transportation – but there will never become a time when for a price you cannot get oil.

when NYC used firewood to heat and horse drawn carts for transport people cold only imagine further and further deforestation around NYC while the streets got deeper and deper in horseshit. Instead as it became more difficult to use wood to heat and horses to draw a wagon the next best substitute begane to be used.

  99. like for example, you can still ride around central park in a horse drawn card, at maybe 10X the price of a modern gas powered taxi. And you can still have a wood burinig fireplace in your Wall Street 53rd floor executive office, but at 1,000 times the cost of having normal heat and air conditioning. Oil will alwalways be available for uses it is needed, but if it becomes scarse lower level uses will turn to substitutes.

There is no “conservative” or “liberal” government in Washington, sure candidates may say those things to get elected, but once they get elected, they are all controlled by The Corporatocracy.

    – MPM

    Exactly. It’s all business.

There’s an interesting documentary called Cocaine Cowboys about a group of drug importers who were extremely successful in the late 70s and early 80s in Miami. Essentially, they were transportation subcontractors for the Columbian Calli cartel who delivered the cocaine from point A to point B and were paid on a per kilo basis. It’s worth watching on its own merits.

Anyways, the reason that documentary relates to how politics and policy really work in the US is that one of the leaders of the ring was a big time Republican donor. He had letters of thanks from Strom Thurmond and all that kind of crap the parties dish out to campaign contributors.

The point is that no one cared where his money came from so long as the checks cleared. Nothing real has changed. Both parties belong to the highest bidders.

In fact, I would be willing to bet a lot of offshore financial centers contain a lot of effectively anonymous accounts that receive outright bribes for services rendered. They can be set up so as to be virtually totally anonymous and if you bounced the money over a few of these centers it would be impossible to follow. They’re perfect for bribery, and much safer than storing cash in the freezer. Anyone remember that moronic Democratic representative?

If you really want to influence policy, make as much money as possible however possible and rent yourself some politicians.

That’s why voting is for suckers. I refuse to spend a second more of my time on this dirtball legitimating a charade or paying attention to its pathetic PR. There are much more important issues to deal with like money and pussy, and the world is much larger and more interesting than the US.

  102. Most of the elections are based around class among White people.

Sarah Palin is a “nut” and yet Yale/Harvard educated mega-lawyer Hillary Clinton held seances in the White House and claims to have “contacted” the spirit of Eleanor Roosevelt. Obama writes about his father’s ghost urging him to do things.

Tell me who is the nutcase.

Amnesty is coming. White Women provided the margin of victory against Angle for Harry Reid, and it was all about “being mean” to illegals. White women generally favor illegal immigration. They don’t face its competition for office jobs, like it when lower class Beta White guys get cleansed out of jobs, and idealize/objectify non-Whites as status objects of their own moral superiority. I.E. they demonstrate high status by allying themselves with non-Whites against boring beta White guys of any socio-economic status.

Men are in favor of deporting illegals, against Amnesty, and women the reverse, among Whites. What you have to remember is that most White guys are “dead” to most White women. This is true even after menopause.

Rubio is not Mexican. He’s Cuban. Cubans generally loathe Castro-loving Mexicans. But yeah, the path to victory is finding non-White, young, macho, aggressive, Alpha dominant guys who are handsome to run. Because White women WILL vote for those guys, where they won’t for non-hot, non-young, non-Alpha White guys or even worse, Conservative Women. White women find the idea of voting for an older White guy absurd. Because he’s not Alpha dominant. Meanwhile even a Scott Brown or Rand Paul can win being hot and dominant. Its far easier though for non-Whites.

White guys have to realize — in politics unless they are uber-hot and Alpha, they cannot go anywhere (its even worse for conservative Women). Because White women will only vote conservative if the candidate is a hot guy, and bonus if he’s non-White.

Harry Reid has already promised Amnesty. It will happen. Get ready for 50 million new Mexicans turned into instant voters. White women will be ecstatic. More nannies and housekeepers!

“White people are boring” is a dogma repeated by White women constantly. It means, translated, “Beta White guys are boring and have no place in the world. Kill them now!”

  106. Amnesty isn’t just the way to ruin the Dems chances to win elections in heavily white areas in the future USA. It is the sure road to tearing apart the USA along racial/cultural Balkanization lines. Negative ads? Psssh…that’s nothing.
Making it official that “America” and “American” are meaningless words and that all 7 billion ‘human’ Earthlings of all varieties are eligible to refer to themselves as such…that will ensure the end of the USA.

Think of it this way: I like Scotland, I am a White American of ethnic Scottish heritage, but I’ve never actually been to Scotland, I have never lived as a Scotsman, and I don’t know anything about the Scots indigenous language (it ain’t English, though almost every Scot also speak English). Let’s just imagine that 2 million AMERICANS exactly like myself were to arrive en masse in Scotland over the next 5 years with the intention to emigrate there permanently.
Oh BTW, Scotland’s population is just over 4 million Scots.
Just that degree of demographic change and diversity would threaten Scotland as it is today. That new huge Scottish-American immigrant population wave would have a huge impact.
Now, just imagine instead that we weren’t of Scottish heritage extraction at all. In fact, imagine that we aren’t of Western European heritage at all. In fact, imagine that we aren’t even White immigrants, but Third Worlders. Put 2 million Third Worlders permanently settling in Scotland over the course of five years…it obviously becomes NOT SCOTLAND ANYMORE. The Scots care about their heritage, and you can see it throughout the country in preserved historic sites, ecological preservation, and in continuing their unique cultural traditions. Now, why would 2 million newcomers from Nigeria, or Iraq, or Brazil or the Philippines care about that “old White stuff”? Of course they wouldn’t! Neither would their offspring. In perhaps as little as three generations, the old Scotland would be just about kaput.
Consciously pursuing a policy of transforming the demographics of such a nation is GENOCIDE…we recognize that in places like Tibet and we hear the term brought up very often regarding the “American Indians”, but we lose sight of principled consistency and all common fucking sense when it comes to Scotland, England, Ireland, France, Germany, and other historically White lands.

Anyone who advocates fundamental demographic transformation of a nation’s population is promoting genocide. It doesn’t matter if the method to accomplish it happens in two bloody weeks or is a more gradual mix-replace-kill effort over several centuries…the end result of genocide is the same.
At some point, the class/tribe that currently dominate American society clearly consciously decided that they wanted to change the people here. We don’t require some smoking gun conspiratorial document admitting it—like some modern “Protocols” recording of minutes or whathaveyou. That is lame right-wing paranoid crank territory. We just have to look with our eyes and engage our brains, to see the dots around us and connect them, to ask ‘who benefits’. Why would they prefer a society where Whites are a minority over the pre-1965 White majority population norms? I believe there are several realistic motivations—partly raw economic greed, partly minority ethno-historic grudge-avenging and self-interest seeking, partly a wicked kind of global imperialism. These motivations draw together a grand coalition of interest groupings that seeks to defend and extend the status quo.
It’s not a secret conspiracy, nor even a completely coherent and united grand coalition. They aren’t one big monolith without internal contradictions (that simplistic stuff works for bumper sticker mass propaganda, but not for actually grasping the big picture and finding a real program of action to change it). But taken together, the sum result of the dominant grand coalition’s efforts is the world we live in today and the present course the world is set upon.

Both the GOP and the Dems—and all the major interest groups behind both of these parties—support Amnesty and continued mass Third World immigration. No, that is not a mistake…you read that right. The difference is merely that they want to accomplish fundamental demographic transformation through different methods. The Dems want to nuke Whitey with an all-out flood and ethnically cleanse him, while the Republicans want to poison Whitey over time and keep Whitey too distracted to notice…and then they’ll say “Jesus prophesied/wanted this” and “Jesus loved all” and “it’s good for the economy” (ie, their true God) when Whitey can’t be effectively kept from noticing the dramatic changes anymore.

That’s GENOCIDE. Gene-o-cide. Ironically, it will swallow up not only the intended victims, but also the pale-faced fuckheads at the top who instigated it. Do you think the Third Worlders will really give a shit about Bill Clinton’s grandkids…or will they see just another racist cracker? Ask Hillary. Remember how she was the sure-thing Dem candidate for the 2008 prez election, until the mass media found some barely-known Black guy from Chicago who hadn’t even completed one single Senatorial term and turned him into their special magic Negro? The fact that Bill and Hillary had bent over backwards to cater to Black interests for their entire political careers meant nothing to the Blacks as soon as they saw their brotha Obama treated like a “serious candidate” by the mass media. More than 90 percent of Black voters hit the polls to support their barely-distinguished “brotha”Obama, and Hillary got the shaft merely one the basis that she was White. It was the proverbial “getting a taste of her own medicine”, and she certainly deserved it. You can see a similar phenomenon at work in the Southwest, where White liberal career politicians with Anglo names get junked in favor of Mestizo political upstarts with Spanish surnames, despite all their years of pandering and catering to the “Latino community.” These dumbass traitors thought that they’d be spared from ethnic cleansing by their increasing hordes of minority pets because of their pandering service records and public demonstrations of how “enlightened” they were…but in the end, they are still seen by the replacements as just another racist cracker who needs to be replaced by one of their own. Remember how the fags were so enthralled with multiracial diversity…until it came to bite them in the ass big time in the form of Blacks and ‘Hispanics’ in their majority voting down gay marriage in California? Remember those pale-faced leftie fags having temper tantrums in the streets because their diverse non-White pets hadn’t gone along with their pro-gay agenda? I laughed my ass off at the poetic irony and poetic justice…in their attempt to bully and off Whitey with the non-Whites, these traitor freaks were also offing themselves and killing their own agenda!

What’s really going to happen now?
White Americans will discover that the GOP alternative will do jack-shit for their interests and will NOT NOT NOT stop the present course. In fact, the fastest way to get stomped by security guards at a GOP campaign event and dragged off to jail is to ask this one reasonable question: “What will you specifically do for the unique interests of White Americans?” Notice that question is not demeaning of any other people in any way. Notice that every other ethnic group residing in the US ALWAYS asks this sort of question of major candidates regarding their own unique interests, and every major candidate seriously/positively responds to this sort of question. But Whites alone aren’t permitted to ask it, and are universally demonized (or worse) if they dare to ask this simple question. Heck, if any major gathering is held that begins to challenge the present course in the meekest ways, and if the gathered are mostly of European ethnic extraction, then it is treated by the mass media as if it was that gathering was a Klan rally. Just look at the most universal media criticism of the Tea Party —“OMG they’re all White” which of course equals “they must be racist” who “hate Obama because he is Black”. The Tea Party’s great crime and unacceptable offense was… being overwhelmingly White!
Yet not a single GOP national politician took the media to task for this continuous blatant anti-White bigotry, nor will they do so in the next two years. They really see Whites as a dying-off soon-to-be-minority demographic, and most importantly, the GOP’s patrons want it that way just as much as the Dem’s patrons do.

Burned repeatedly by the GOP and by the Dems, a significant layer of Whites will find the current political shell-game hopeless and even the Tea Party attempts to intervene to this point will be seen as insufficient. Tea Party ‘leader’ co-optation by the Powers-that-be will only add insult to injury…and of course the rank-and-file will notice.
The ripe conditions for a split and more radical pro-White course will present themselves, and some bolder Whites will seize the moment to fill the vacuum. These will not be the useless right-wing crank circus types, but rather serious veterans of the Tea Party movement with real roots in their local communities who have finally come to the inevitable racial and revolutionary conclusions. These new racial-patriots will not stick to the typical right-winger script, will not stick to focusing narrowly on typical right-wing constituencies and pet issues, and will not stick to the typical right-wing methods. They will dynamically appeal to and influence White constituencies that are often considered “Democratic” today…young Whites, White women, blue collar urban Whites, college-educated Whites, non-Christian Whites, etc. In this manner, the currently dominant anti-White grand coalition of Left and Right will be shattered, and a pro-white grand coalition of various White demographic constituencies will be forged together. Why would that work? What is the common link inevitably binding these diverse White demographic interest blocs together? Because every White demographic constituency is a loser at some point in the present general course that society is on—they will become feel more hopelessness and despair and anger at the present situation and the responsible parties, and they will repeatedly look for a way out of their predicament until they finally find a realistic alternative available.
The only reason that so many White constituencies are today in the “Democratic” base is that the right-wing has been too fucking stupid and short sighted to appeal to them—and the right wing is too stupid and short sighted because they don’t actually seek for a White America either!

What will happen is exactly what Jonah Goldberg and his ilk/tribe are afraid of: an appealing unorthodox pro-White progressive racial-nationalism will emerge from the womb of the Tea Party, change the entire Left-Right paradigm into a pro-White/anti-White paradigm, and then deliver one giant step for White mankind with a boot stomping down on the necks of those who dared to raise their voices and hands against us. Goldberg’s coalition will call it “fascism”. What they really mean is that they tried to fuck us over and pushed us too far once again, and soon their game will be finally over, and they will be taking down a whole lot of collaborators, fools, and freaks with them. In their zeal for the genocide of White people, they will become the victims of that holocaust and perdition which they themselves set about to instigate against us. In the meantime, Whites will never have been so merry and so much a “national community” since the 1930s. Out of hopelessness, we will carve the road to actualized hope for ourselves…and we’ll do anything we have to to get to that destination. We will merge the best of the Left and the best of the Right into a new vision and prospectus for our racial nation..and then we’ll bury both the current outmoded Left and Right fetters on the way to achieving our aim.

It might take more than two years for this to fully develop. It might take decades, in fact, for enough Whites to finally lose all hope and allegiance with the current status quo.
But I’ll tell you a secret. Even if they flood our land will many millions more non-Whites, even if the rate of interracial mixing precedes at quadruple the rates of today for the next thirty years, even if Whites do become a minority in this country before we finally get off our asses and rise like a mighty giant, WE WILL STILL BE ENOUGH TO TAKE BACK EVERYTHING ONCE WE SUMMON UP THE WILL AND COMMUNITY STRENGTH TO DO IT. That’s why they want to genocide us…because we Whites are the only ones who could actually succeed in a revolution that threatens the powers that be. We Whites are the only ones who actually could put a stop to this insane course…if only we passionately wanted better, if only we cared enough for ourselves and our future, if only we became dissatisfied enough with the status quo to smash it with our own hands!

Until you get throughly sick of the chasing short term distractions and easy illusions and risk-adverse short-cuts and polite debates with people who want to kill off your kind, you will be consumed with hopelessness and despair Whitey. You will suffer until you learn the hard way that your kind is worth preserving and you finally pursue the path of survival by any means necessary. Fuck’em if they are “offended”…we will survive! Either they’ll get a clue and get the fuck outta our way and perhaps even work on getting their own shit together while living in their own nations, or they’ll pay the consequences for threatening our survival. We win either way. But if you continue to get intimidated and punked out by those loud mouthed antagonists seeking to build their own destiny at your expense and atop your graves, you lose. Surrendering is the only way you could lose, Whitey.

Apathy, settling, surrender…these are symptoms of hopelessness. These are TEMPORARY reactions to despair.
For a while, in more prosperous times, when the victims were some other Joe or Jane Whitey, you couldn’t really care less and often didn’t even pay attention at all. Then you begin to feel the effects of the transformation in your own life, and sought ways to tolerate it without “rocking the boat”, telling yourself “it’s not all that bad”, and convincing yourself that lightning would strike you if you uttered a peep of complaint. Then the situation become more and more intolerable, and you see the transformation rubbed in your face everywhere you go, and you feel utterly alone like an atomized relict, and it often seems that everyone else loves the changes. You pull away from everyone and everything that once was your public life. You stop loving or trusting anyone. You feel like you could lose everything you still have in the blink of an eye, and all around you there are people who would enthusiastically love to tear you lib from limb to get what is now yours and who would tell you “it’s payback cracker” as they were doing it. Everytime you turn on the TV or the radio, it is giving you the middle finger and cuckolding you…so eventually you turn it off and don’t look back. Same thing when you open up a newspaper or a magazine. Maybe you can find refuge and calm in church, right? Well, actually, you find it has become an organizing center of your replacements and of traitors who love to justify themselves in the name of Jesus. So you just stay home. You start to notice that many other White males are staying home too…dropping the fuck outta life, looking for anything to pretend that the transformation hasn’t shut them out and to keep them from thinking about it much. They are playing video games, surfing the net, jerking off to porn, getting drunk and high, and hoping against hope that their girlfriends/wives (if any remain) will not end up running off with one of the non-Whites someday. Time and time again, that is exactly what happens to our women, when the transformation happens to an area—Whitey ain’t cool ’nuff no mo’, yo! It will stay like that, until YOU decide that it will stop. Then YOU will stop it, by taking you life back step by step. And YOU will stir up some of those other White male dropouts, and push them to take back their lives, step by step. Nobody else is going to do it, you will need these other boys/men soon, and you will be like a fucking angel saving them from hell by doing so (reciprocation is in order).
What do you do? You hang out, you do things together, you act like White men. Then, you go out together, as White men…and you are seen out in public as White men hanging out together, moving to your own music, indulging your own sense of fashion, pursuing your own interests.
You don’t stay out of the public centers and off the streets anymore…you go into them and make your presence felt.
They become YOURS. Soon, you are able to attract some women to your crew (often by way of becoming the girlfriends of your crewmates). You maintain the male solidarity of the original crew, but you also make sure that they girls become integrated and bonded into the social circle, rather than entirely tucked away by one of the boys. Every White girl that comes your way is more than a girlfriend—she is a magnet to draw other women and other men, and she is a nuclear warhead that can fuck up your foes when deployed properly.
Okay, so you’re a social group, and you can counter the alienating social transformation a bit now. But you ain’t changed things much and your social group will not last without a deeper foundation. You could make a big mistake getting into crime, drugs, gang shit. You could go the way of cults and fuck up that way. You could try to become a political group without any serious roots—and you’ll similarly wither away. These are the various ways that many previous pro-White local groups messed up. Instead, look at who you are—look at the strengths and talents and skills in your crew, and turn them into an economic collaboration or set of collaborations. Become professional artisans, go into business, expand your reach and your owned/controlled resources in the community, develop relations with Whites beyond your crew. The first thing that a group of conscious pro-White folks need to do is to economically empower themselves and to become serious economic factors in their communities. You ain’t shit until you get the money and you develop the roots and relationships to take that community for your own. That will get you a lot farther than any fucking piddly protesting will, and most folks won’t even know what the fuck is going on. Our foes will not be onto your scent when it looks like you are just another business concern playing the game like the other monied folks. Now, what do you do with that money? You build upon it, you secure your financial independence, you make it possible to employ other pro-White folks who show they are worth your time and can be winners in life, you buy up real estate and resources that can be useful to securing SPACE and POWER and CREATING DEPENDENCY of other local Whites upon your efforts. Sure, you could think small business and have small time individualist goals…but you’ll end up no better than when you started. You got to aim high and big for real changes to be possible. Aim to be bigger that the current big dogs in your town, and realize that it took time and a lot of effort for them to get there. You usually can’t beat them on your own…but you can in collaboration with a creative properly motivated crew that develops into a new generation of business professionals and entrepreneurs that also has established, supported and innovated the local “new cool” implicitly pro-White subculture. That is to say, you create a new market out of the unmet demand, then you give it expression and means and supply, and then you find ways to economically support it and to make it empower the stakeholders themselves, and then you start moving into the locally existing territories and markets to shore up and expand your empowerment. Start looking at the local staple industries, at the local media infrastructure, at the local political machine and the legal field, at all the existing local social networks…you are aiming to conquer these things, step by step, and make big bucks for yourselves in the process. THIS is where you need to be to successfully initiate a serious explicit pro-White political movement…and not a minute before. You need the money and the financial independence, you need a hardcore of quality people and a far reach into the local people, you need lots of useful friends and business relationships, you need to own significant roots in that community and have secured space, you need to have a serious media alternative under your control, and you need to have developed the social and economic and political context in order to win against your foes. We pro-Whites have been fucking up by not making ourselves powerful first. Use the current predicament in your life to motivate you to stop merely protesting ‘boo-hoo this ain’t fair’, and instead to promise to yourself that you will make yourself into somebody powerful enough to one day fucking destroy the responsible parties and anyone who dares raise a hand against you, and that you will make sure to improve the lives of many of our people in the pursuance of that agenda. No more settling to be a victim of circumstances—it is time to make your own circumstances. This is how Whitey can get his groove back…this is how YOU can get your life back, better than ever.

Obama was seen as condescending when he visited the troops during the election campaign. Bush remains well regarded in the military.

Germany isn’t the country it used to be. Where’s your Prussian heritage? Germans have become such candy asses, its hard to believe they are the nation that produced the blueprint structure for every modern professional army as well as corporations. Germans invented modern warfare and were the inheritors of Rome. Europe no longer believes in itself and has sucumbed to its own trendy self loathing. Its sad, I own property there and have spent much of my life there. Some of the country will remain German, but the north and much of the east will be overrun by the Turk in 50 years, without a shot fired, done in by a whinging, high minded self loathing elite. Only a race war will save you now. If you had retained just a little more Prussian spirit, you wouldn’t have dug your own cultural and racial grave as you have. This same disease has affected the US and it made us weak.

Have you noticed how newly created job types tend to skew female (human resources) or female and minority (diversity adviser) Expect yet another government intervention that requires corporations to create a new department that will be largely latino, and largely very well paid latino, just as human resources is largely composed of very well paid, though none too bright, women. Perhaps it will be called community investment compliance – businesses will be required to have a department that shows the government that they are diversifying their activities between communities.

And many will come here as simply as voters, living entirely on welfare and petty crime.

  110. The GOP has two impending stumbling blocks. The first is the “automatic” increase in the debt ceiling. Lot of those new teaparty guys aren’t going to go for it, and so the next one won’t be so automatic. The next is unemployment benefits, which is set to end shortly if not extended. If the GOP prevents an extension then expect for them to be called Scrooge for the next two years. If the GOP attempts to do the right thing, and the right thing is going to hurt, then you can expect to see a Democrat wave in 2012 as large as the GOP was in 2010.

Curious: “Do you realize that the most ambitious young men and women born in this white homeland would flee to places like Manhattan, San Francisco, or Los Angeles, places that are seen as “exciting” as soon as they could? West Virginia, Wyoming, Idaho, Iowa etc are states that have been almost entirely white for the past 100 years.”

Do you realize that your thinking is utterly superficial and lacking in context? Why would a white nation have no cities? It’s absurd. White nations invariably create cities, cities with plenty of action and excitement. We see this all over the world – North America, Australia, Europe. Creating great cities is something that whites have consistently done, time and time again.

In a multiracial situation, the non-whites flock to the cities created by whites. In a homogenous situation, the cities remain white. It’s that simple. Most cities achieved their heydey when they were all or almost entirely white, as centers of commerce and culture.

Your assumption that a white nation would resemble, in its entirety, the backwaters of West Virginia is utterly absurd. The only reason some backwaters remain white is precisely because there are few jobs to attract the non-whites. By definition, not every place can be a hot spot. That shouldn’t be too difficult to grasp, but apparently it is. Fact: non-whites gravitate to hot spots created by whites. Your conclusion? An all white nation would resemble a West Virginia backwater.

    Brilliant.

Bottom line: whites create hot spots, and if allowed, those places are overwhelmed by non-whites, which ultimately replace the whites. One of the major arguments for an all white nation is to prevent this incredibly destructive and unjust process.

How has it been “enriching?” Have you looked at modern art? Modern architecture? Literature? Or just social mores and basic manners?

On a purely cultural level, everything has been getting uglier and uglier, nastier and nastier, all while becoming more and more diverse. Why is this? Why aren’t the non-whites “enriching” us, as you claim?

The short answer is that they obviously aren’t. The exact opposite of what you claim is much closer to the truth.

Our culture was at a far, far higher level when we were homogenous.

In fact, what you celebrate has been nothing but cultural destruction. When a people give up on themselves and their cultural development, and instead start babbling about other people “enriching” them (whites don’t have culture, only non-whites do), that’s a sign that the culture is in dying. And it has done just that.

To twist a phrase, much more “enrichment” like this, and we’ll be undone. Oops, we already are.

  127. So, somewhat interesting thread, although I could not bear to read everything in full.

Despite those who come here and just want to hear about Game, or “gettin’ broads”, the subtitle of the blog is “Where Pretty Lies Perish”. It does not say, “Where Pretty Lies About Chicks Perish” or “All the News About Fucking Chicks is Fit to Blog”.

We are surrounded by pretty lies, and they all help to confuse the fuck out of ourselves when it comes to making the right decisions. Some of us like to perpetuate Pretty Lies because it fits our narrative. Hell, I guess we ALL do it some extent, but some goddman revel in it.

“Obama sent more troops to Afghanistan, ushered through a health insurance bill loved by every corporate entity that had skin in the game, has kept and even expanded upon every Constitution-thrashing foreign policy stance by the Bush Admin (even killing American citizens suspected of terrorist ties), is a technocrat corporatist Democrat at heart…..and he’s some Marxist revolutionary?”

How someone can look at the history of Marxism in all its permutations, and think that ANY of the above does not track with it astounds me. Of course, one can never know when some is being deliberately obtuse. What? Does Obama have to grow a Lenion goatee and brandish am AK-47 to fit the bill? Marxists can be evil, deluded fucks, but I don’t consider them stupid.

“I’m pretty sure Obama is a centrist. I don’t think people understand what a leftist actually is.”

“”Obama is centrist/conservative, or perhaps more accurately a status quoist.”

    Oh, fucking please…

THIS person, however, is onto a central truth that cuts through all this frabba-jabba.

“I think that conservatism can only exist in the local level. Any imperial super-structure like the US Federal Government will be inherently liberal.”

Of course, this is tricky because the definition of “liberal” was kidnapped and raped by the left about a century ago, when it used to stand for Liberty for people, instead of subservience, but you need to do your own reading on that. But, again, more lies…

Anyway, bottom line, assuming you actually like having true freedom, that personal liberty is a good thing (and if you are a liberal, progressive or really strident social conservative you don’t qualify) and you want a prosperous society…

POWER MUST BE DECENTRALIZED AS MUCH AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE!

    PERIOD.

All else is so much sophistry.

You should get to whatever you want with what you earn, your property and your privates unless you are encroaching on the rights of others in the same realm. The idea of government at any level for the United States was to mediate disputes when conflicts regarding this arose, and otherwise to BUTT THE FUCK OUT.

What we have now is people wanting to make all sorts of decisions for others, backed with force, because their vision of how things should work for everyone is superior to others. We have many willing to buy into it because they feel safer without responsibility.

The Left does a good job of portraying the Right as the worst offenders in this, although the reality is completely reverse in most areas. In some areas they are complicit, but if you looked at it honestly, the Left are the ones most likely to want to shove certain behaviors down your throat, backed with the power of the state, and to feel the most self-righteous about it.

I see so many mistinterpretations of what this election means, what the rise of the Tea Party means by some many supposely smart people, and so many don’t get it. It wasn’t just about 2010, but 2006 and 2008. People have MUCH more access to information about what the hell goes on. and what it means, and they are pissed, but its not uninformed or nebulous.

People are waking up to the fact that the jerk-offs in office are no better qualified to run out lives, and actually much, much worse at it, and the only way to get them back off is to reduce them back to functionaries rather than the Lord and Ladies they imagine themselves to be. The Lord and Ladies don’t like that, because they like having peasants to rule. Google Barney Frank’s VICTORY speech, and see what petty little fucks these people are.

For those willing to keep telling themselves Pretty Little Lies about what it all means, go ahead. I won’t stop you. Never interrupt an opponent when they are making a mistake is my new motto.

We don’t need to burn down the house; we just need to clear out all the crap that is making the place unlivable.

  133. RV, great comment. The GOP will become the white party by forcing the Democrats to make it more and more obvious that they are the blacks-and-hispanics party, without explicitly calling themselves the white party. They will use code words though like “ordinary Americans” and “hard-working taxpayers” and “law-abiding citizens” and “traditional families” and so on. The way to talk about being the white party is to use statistics — when a liberal media idiot asks a Republicans about the whiteness of his support, he should say “60% of white people support the Republicans, 95% of black people support the Democrats, and it’s WHITE people who vote racially?”. I like to tell liberals who ask me how such a smart person could possibly be a Republican that I voted Republican because I’m a white male and 2/3 of white males vote Republican — if they are white males themselves I then say “so YOU’RE the one who has some explaining to do, not me”.

Unemployment statistics are always manipulated by both parties; and they are always reported in the media in a way that favors the Democrats; when Republicans are in power this sort of balances out but when Democrats are in power the result is a double-strength underestimation of unemployment. It is worse now than it has been in 70 years, and it’s not going to get better for years.

I agree that Northern Europe is waking up and that the UK is hopelessly degraded. The Army’s PC response to Fort Hood outraged every single person I ever spoke to about it, Americans still have common sense about jihadists even with their multicultural universalism. The Muslim threat here is minor compared to Europe, we will never come close to sharia. There are much worse threats to American society than Islam, which have weakened and undermined everything. But I am still giving ordinary politics a few years before I would agree that all the institutions are hopelessly corrupt and need to collapse or see the USA break up.

War with Iran is not something Obama is capable of. And I don’t see the need either — we should just tell them if they attack us we destroy their cities, and that includes having their proxies attack us.

Urban vs suburban/rural culture is a ridiculous debate to have in the Internet age. And having moved to a big city is a strike against a girl in my book (not her fault if she was born there).

  135. “The corporations that run America benefit highly from these regulations. It would be naive to think otherwise.”

Hmmm, now, let’s examine this idea, shall we?

Corporations do INDEED benefit from regulations. Why? Because regulations control how businesses operate, or can’t operate.

Corporations DO like to have these things controlled, TO THEIR BENEFIT. So, they will want regulations that make things easier for them, but make it harder for any competitors. Every power structure, hell, every human being tends to operate along those lines.

But, Corporations don’t actually regulate, do they? No. Who does?

    Say it with me, kids…

    The Government.

Corporations have little power compared to the government. If they had all or most of the power, they would not need to infest Washington DC with lobbyists. They would not have to bribe weasals like Kerry or Lott to get their way. They would simply demand it.

The reason is the government has the monopoly of violence, despite the latest Hollywood drivel. They are the true power, the seat of authority. Corporations are merely supplicants before the throne.

If a Corporation wants to take away your home or car or put you in jail, they are helpless to do so without the blessing and compliance of the government. A law is needed for you to violate, a court and judge needed to enforce a contract broken, and law enforcement officers needed to do deal with any of the above. Without any of that, the Corporation can’t touch you, or if they did, you could reply with deadly force in self-defense.

“But, But! Corporations have all this money to bribe the politicians with, so they actually have the power!”

No, because they are still forced to compete with others with money to get the politicians to side with them. What they do is bribe the politicians to take their side on issues that work in their favor.

And, according to your logic, every special interest group, like unions, should also come under suspicion for “running America” as they have the monetary and political clout to influence politicians as well.

When you are the one determining who will prosper and who will not, who can do X and can’t do Y, when you control what people can buy or sell, when you determine who goes to jail for what, you hold the power. Corporations are pale shades in comparison.

Quiz? What entity in the US has made the most over the last 30 years in oil sales?

    Why, the US government!

And, the US government is the one taxing EVERYBODY for everything, sucking in oceans of cash to dole out in favors, so if money is the root of all evil for everything, that again puts politicians at the top of the tower or power.

Now, as pro free enterprise as I am, and that is pretty pro, I don’t have any delusions that corporations won’t do stupid or irresponsible or greedy things.

However, I keep in mind that the reason that corporations sometimes do stupid, irresponsible or greedy things because they run by human beings.

Guess who runs the government? A Vulcan philosopher king?

Regulations can be good and reasonable, or they can be used to oppress, crush, victimize and steal. The common thread is they are created and enforced by government, whose politicians benefit the most and most consisently from the bureacracy they create.

With all due respect, you are the one being naive by relying on a rather simplistic concept of “Big Business Bogeymen” as being the power behind the throne, when the throne right out in the open.

  143. The Social Security “trust fund” ploy only seems complicated because of the accounting, but it’s actually quite simple.

Forget about the accounting. Forget about the idea of a “trust fund.” Forget about how the spending is labled. The reality behind Social Security is quite simple: every generation of retired old folks extracts money from the younger generation that is currently working. The older generation is supported by the younger generation. In other words, Social Security taxes are like child support payments being garnished out of your check, except instead of children, you’re supporting retired people.

You can even forget about money – if this were a society of subsistence farmers, the idea is that you would be growing enough food to feed yourself and also enough to feed the elderly, who would not be growing anything. Right now, it’s you and about two or three other people who all collectively “grow enough food” (work) to feed each retired person. As more people get old and retire, eventually there will be only about two productive workers to “grow the food” for themselves and also one retired person.

The idea is that, as long as more people get born, eventually you will retire, and then you will be able to force young people to work to support you while you do nothing. The problem is that there are many fewer young people nowadays (as a percentage of the population) than there used to be. In other words, the population is getting older. That means that the burden of “growing more food” is getting heavier and heavier on the young producers. There are fewer people working to support more and more retirees. It’s the difference between paying child support for one child versus two children. To keep your same standard of living while also supporting more dependents, you need to work harder.

Eventually, the system will re-balance when (if) the population starts reproducing at replacement level (it’s a big “if” – in Europe or Japan, for example, they’re far below replacement level). But in the meantime, there is a “bulge.” There are too many old people and not enough productive people needed to “grow the food” to support everyone. So in the short term, the old people are eating all the food, and all the young people are getting poorer and hungrier.

Besides, even when the system re-balances, it will be with a lower ratio of workers to retirees. That means that when you retire, to avoid eating all the food, you’ll have to accept less food than you had to fork over during your time as the worker. In other words, if current law says that you have to hand over one ear of corn to the old guy you’re supporting, by the time the system re-balances when you are old and retired, you’ll only be able to demand half an ear of corn from the new worker. You’ll get a worse deal than your parents.

That’s why the idea of “storing up” money doesn’t even apply. There’s no pile of money (or corn, or whatever) to hand out. The only question is whether the current set of workers can produce enough stuff for both themselves and the old retired folks who aren’t producing anything anymore. For example, I put money away every month into a separate bank account (my vacation fund). I can do that because I earn enough (produce enough) to both pay my mortgage and also fund a vacation. But if I don’t have enough money coming in (enough production), then it doesn’t matter how I label the accounts; either my vacation isn’t getting funded, or my mortgage isn’t. Either way, the only question is: do I produce enough cash to pay for everything I want to buy? If I do, then I can segregate the money however I want, and it doesn’t matter. If I don’t, then it doesn’t matter how I segregate it, the shortfall is going to occur somewhere. Similarly, the U.S. has an “income” (the total economic output of the country, GDP). With the coming retirement of the Boomers, paying for the non-productive retired folks (including Medicare, which is actually in worse financial shape even than Social Security) will consume so much of the national income that there won’t be enough left to pay for anything else. There won’t be enough production to fund everything. Somebody will have to go hungry.

At least, that’s true under current law, which is what the government has been promising to people. If the government breaks its promises and says, “Just kidding, actually you current workers don’t get to collect nearly as much as the previous generation of old folks,” then you can reduce the burden on future workers.

But it still screws the current generation. However you slice it, Social Security screws anybody who’s working now.

Not true. Socialism started in the early 19th century and Marx took it all the way out there. The current disease originated in Germany with the Frankfurt School. They were able to influence American education and entrenched their ideology in the elite universities. Political correctness is the invention of Herbert Mancuse for instance, one of the Frankfurt School’s founding members.

What I think she means is the world belongs to those who show up. White men are in retreat demographically. The future belongs to those tribes who fuck themselves into existence. It doesn’t matter if the world as we know it was created by white men. That was then, this is now. The gina tingle knows nothing of loyalty or justice. It only knows it needs to tingle. David Cameron of the UK nor Geet Wilders of Holland provide the tingle, but Achmed the robust, muscular, swarthy underdog does. Keep in mind, I think RV is speaking on behalf of young women. Up to the age of about 30 or 35, women want only to be seduced. They want to be taken and dominated and even controlled. This goes against everything you’ve ever been taught by feminist indoctrination. That is all lies, designed to sap you of your strength and turn you into a resource providing beta worker drone.

Long term planning is a thing of the past. You have to ‘unlearn’ all you’ve been taught about women and start reading this blog for your true education. My advice to you young man: shave your head, get some tats, get some bling, maybe an earing, definitely a ring, necklace, and a bracelet, maybe sillybands, maybe a goatee, a motorcycle, and do not, I repeat, do not, pedestalize women. And don’t get married. The more disrespect you show a woman, the more attracted to you she will be.

You do understand that SWPL doesn’t mean ALL Whites, right? Because you sure made it sound that way, and if that is your perception from experience it is because you live in an SWPL ENCLAVE. That would explain your contempt for Whites!
I see it amongst middle class liberals/leftist all the time…they can’t stand their superficial prosperous SPWL communities, so they turn to those they imagine to be the opposite. Next thing you know, they are into Bob Marley shit and fucking a darkie. What changed? NOTHING…except now most White people look at you like trash without any self-respect! The leftie/liberal contempt for the SWPL enclaves from which they came has no positive improvement effect on those places, and what these SWPL leftie/liberal shitheads end up doing (at most) is striking at poorer working-class urban Whites and poorer rural Whites (those usually aren’t SWPLs, folks!) They figure that they can get away with stirring shit up against the poorer Whites, and they know that Mommy and Daddy SWPLs would ring the police in a flash if they pull any actual “rebellious” shit-disturbing stunts in their own SWPL enclaves. I first learned the phrase “don’t shit where you lay” from a Leftist.

So, rebelliousvanilla, are you specifically anti-SWPL (and do you understand what that means and why you are against it?) or are you just anti-White altogether?

While we’re on this course, what specifically do you feel is “not boring”? What kinds of people do you feel are “not boring”?

What would be so amusing about the destruction of the White race? Honestly, how would that benefit YOU? Spare no detail…I want to know. In fact, I want to know where you got your “sense of humor” from. Even if you don’t dare shame yourself by revealing it, at least face the truth yourself. You LEARNED what is “funny” from the circles you hang around it and the media you consume. You were conditioned to responded to it. One possible explantion of this fascination
(in addtition to admiration of apparent physical
fitness) is the bet on the up-and-coming.

In a primitive society (think chimps if it helps),
the young female has some choices. One is to
fuck fairly indiscriminately. Problem is, this devalues
each fuck. Another is to offer herself to the leader(s).
This can work, but there is PLENTY of competition
there. A third is to pick the up-and-coming
revolutionary, who is somewhat likely to stage
    a rebellion and take power.

Of course, in actuality today, the swarthy beefcake
is quite unlikely to succeed at that, no matter how
much he would like to. But the tingle mechanism
    does not understand that.

If that doesnt sound absurd on its face, it definitely should once you understand what growth is based on.

It is based on cheap, plentiful resources, particularly oil, but also steel, water, natural gas, etc…

Oil is an unimaginably valuable resource, extremely dense in energy, and we have collectively blown through the easy-to-get stuff over the past 100+ years. There’s lots more, but it will get harder and harder to extract, and more dangerous. See Deepwater Horizon.

NOTHING else scales up like oil. Shale oil, tar sands, all these things take a huge amount of energy to get out of the ground. Remember ethanol? All the tech-will-save-us swpls were all about that retarded idea for a while. Oh, right, we have to fucking EAT too…

Not exactly. Yes, oil will become gradually more expensive,
for roughly the reasons you state, plus the fac that
instead of having about a billion people living
in more-or-less industrial societies (i.e. North America,
Europe, Japan and a few others) we are getting three
billion or so at that level, i.e. add India and China.

And yes, Ethanol as fuel is idiotic, powered by subsidies
    and Washington insiders like ADM.

That is NOT true of shale, tar sands and cracking up
the bedrock to get natural gas. Which is precisely why
the enviros hate it. Rule of thumb: The usefulness
    or potential usefulness of
an energy technology scales with the amount of
vituperation from the enviros. That’s why they (mostly)
hate nuclear power too, although it is carbon free.
Over the next 50-100 years I expect the world to go
primarily nuclear. Sometime at the tail end of that,
I expect that we will go to fusion power,

  164. Thor,

Good response to schifty. The market will prevent oil from getting impossibly expensive because new sources of oil or alternatives to it will be found. The environmentalists’ obstructive attitude to this has a few possible explanations, all of which reflect very badly on them:

    1) a religious conviction that carbon is evil and uranium is evil

    2) a fundamental social principle that wealth and development are bad

    3) the belief that anything that conservatives want they oppose because they think conservatives are so evil they must always be wrong

    4) having the government restrict energy development gives those who control or influence the government colossal opportunities to profit by graft both legal and illegal

    5) they think America should be weakened and its enemies empowered

Can anyone come up with an explanation for environmentalists’ opposition to energy development that reflects less badly on them than the above?

By the way, I am blogging now, you can click on my name above to get there (I usually post here as “Polymath” but that one was unavailable at WordPress).

I believe that your points 1-3 applies mostly to

    are reaching for.

Number 5) is another group altogether, including
e.g. some foreign entities that subsidize US and

No disrespect to either of you, this is a good conversation, but I disagree heartily with your faith in finding more reserves, or new technologies to replace oil. The biggest oilfields were found generations ago, and new discoveries are tiny in comparison to these aging giants.

Ever see the movie Back to the Future 2? Think about its forecast for the year 2015. Didnt it seem entirely plausible, just 25 years ago, when that film was made, that we’d be flying around in hovercars powered by Mr. Fusion? When I was a kid, I thought I’d have a hoverboard by now.

Look at future predictions from the early 20th century…Our faith in technology as a savior is unfounded. We have amazing technologies, but most of them amount to communications devices, microelectronics, or things that were basically invented 100 years ago (major simplification here, but we are still using the same stuff for energy, for the most part, that we were 100 years ago.) We can’t create energy, period. It doesnt matter that energy is theoretically an unlimited resource; what matters is USABLE energy.

Oil is practically a magical substance. It’s portability, density, shelf-life, etc. are unmatched by anything. Our 6+ billion population depends on it for mechanized agriculture (fertilizers, pesticides, fuels for machines), for plastics, for medicines, etc.

Are you familiar with the concept of Energy Returned on Energy Invested (EROIE)?

In the “I drink your milkshake” days, it took about 1 barrel of oil’s energy to get 100 barrels worth out of the ground. This ratio has been declining severely over the past decades. I dont have the numbers in front of me, but shale and tar sands dont even compare to the EROIE of light sweet crude. It’s still a net gain, I think, but our civilization is built on MUCH cheaper energy. In fact, its based on the assumption that the energy will be more abundant and cheaper each year, which, for the past 100 or so, has been the case…but not any more.

This is strikes me as a problem.

There will be a competition for oil and the third world won’t win it. For many reasons where will be a huge third world death toll in the next 20 and 50 years.

As well, there are huge petroleum reserves from unconventional but yes more expensive sources — that dwarf current conventional proven reserves. E.g. oil sands and shale. Only been seriously explored in the the US and Canada. See my comment above.
