So You Want To Be A Badboy

Here is a partial list of behaviors that badboys do around their women.

  • A badboy will occasionally tell his girl to “fuck off”, “shut up”, or “shut the fuck up”, sometimes even when she deserves it.
  • When his girl tells an unfunny joke, a badboy will look right at her and not laugh at all, making her feel uncomfortable.
  • His GF lives out of town. She calls him and wants to drive into town to see him. A badboy will tell her “No” once in a while but give her no reason why, because he wants to hit the bars with his crew that night and hook up with another girl.
  • His GF drove into town anyway and went to the bar with him. A badboy would make sure she doesn’t kiss him in public and instead use her like an advertising billboard to atract other girls. He will get another girl’s number and tell his GF he only wants to make a new friend.
  • A girl a badboy has just met tells him she has a boyfriend and makes him promise to not kiss her that night. The badboy says “Sure” and kisses her later, anyway. Then he slides his hand up her skirt for good measure.
  • In extreme circumstances, a badboy will kick his girl out of the car… while it’s still rolling to a stop.
  • A badboy will forget every birthday, anniversary, and holiday. He will never apologize for his forgetfulness, but he will make it up to her by giving her the rogering of her life.
  • If a girl tries to make him jealous, the badboy will tell her she should get out of his hair and go marry the new guy if she likes him so much, they’re perfect together. He will then hum the tune “Here Comes the Bride” but will call it “Here Comes the Bitch”.
  • When his GF tells him “I love you”, the badboy will reply “Cool beans” while thinking about his date next Tuesday with girl #2.
  • A badboy will use “BEYOTCH!” non-ironically.
  • A badboy will be late for every date by at least 10 minutes, no exceptions. He will act as if nothing is wrong.
  • If caught with another woman, the badboy will not beg forgiveness or make excuses. He will instead “remind” his primary girl that he is dating around until he finds his soulmate. If he’s a really badass badboy, he’ll tell her he’s been waiting for her to join the fun and then pat the bed.
  • A badboy does not hide the video camera set up in his bedroom. Or the other girls’ hair on the pillows.
  • “I’ve had enough of your shit” is a stock badboy response to his GF acting out. He will use it liberally, and accentuate the point by putting on oversized headphones and bobbing his head to the music.
  • A badboy knows he has something the world’s betas don’t — the cahones to WALK. He’ll walk out the door at the slightest provocation or annoyance, slamming it shut for added effect, thereby setting the standard VERY HIGH indeed for his GF to remain on her best behavior around him.
  • Badboys never split the domestic chores and always leave the seat up. “Equal” is not part of their vocabulary.
  • Badboys will surprise fuck their GFs in public… with children nearby.
  • Badboys never talk about their work with their women. They always keep it fun, light, and teasing.
  • Badboys know it’s OK to get angry and bitch your woman out. They do not fear the consequences.

If you are struggling to attract women, get laid, and fall in mutual love, then incorporate the badboy behaviors into your life and watch your girl troubles melt away.

  1. This stuff works sometimes… sometimes it doesn’t.

I’m going to be the first to say the obvious. I’m glad Roissy is kicking the ladies’ asses. They’ve got it coming for the way they’ve behaved for the past 30 years.

But, any man who goes to an advice column to learn how to deal with women is a lost cause. If you are reading this for that purpose, then you are just wasting your time.

Roissy, it’s a funny shtick, but it’s just another advice for the lovelorn column.

The real key to being a man is… stand alone. Don’t look to others for advice or for praise.

I’ve seen some of these Badboys in action…. most of them are complete tits and work at places like car phone warehouse. Admittedly, their girls are hot but they (the girls) have shit for brains.

  3. Captain Nemo: some of them are, but some of the behaviors (speaking your mind, being ready to jump away) are just hallmarks of independence/detachment/aloofness many women like so much. Others are just stupid (kicking people out of cars is begging for a lawsuit for one).

The headphone thing is especially useful, even in a LTR (doubly so because walking away – unless it means going to the next room – is too much work).

#3, I regularly kick people out of moving cars, not just my girl, and I do it at speeds way faster than “rolling to a stop”. Let me tell you, it’s gotten me far in life. Its almost like I’m the modern day Tony Soprano.

His GF lives out of town. She calls him and wants to drive into town to see him. A badboy will tell her “No” once in a while but give her no reason why, because he wants to hit the bars with his crew that night and hook up with another girl.

I disagree. Having an out of town GF is such a pain. When she is in town, keeping her away from girl #2+, or anyone who might say something to her is tough. I supposed if anyone did say something, I could return the favor and kick them out of a high speed moving car, but still, its a pain in the ass. There is too many other fine pieces of ass in my city, Richmond, VA.

When I was younger, I did not realize that what my different girlfriends wanted more than anything else was my time. I was looking for hot sex and they were simply looking for time. Not knowing this, I happily let them hang out and hang around as often as they pleased.

    Now, I know better.

If she really wants me to come over, she will make sure it is worth my time.

“I’ve had enough of your shit” is a stock badboy response to his GF acting out.

This should not be classified as a badboy only trait. Every man should understand that their girl cannot be allowed to “get away” with drama.

And rule #1 would be: “Never let her play the victim”.

There are real victims in this world, and she ain’t one of them.

    Sad truth of it is…
Assholes have hot chicks, and they fight for the privilege of being mistreated.
They get their payback on child support, and alimony.

    But not always…
Asshole Allen, a friend of mine had a vasectomy 10 years ago. He had dated this catholic girl for 4 months.. One day, she walks out of a bathroom and throws a Clear Blue Easy at him screaming like a baneshee… You got me pregnant! He kicked her ass out right then, hired a moving truck and relocated.

    A. Allen told her right then, when it happed “ain’t mine”. Later on, at a child support hearing, he contests, dna wins.

Afterwards, He runs a 4 paragraph column in the town newspaper talking about her “your the daddy claims”. He lets the real father know, he better skip town before she figures out who from the guys, the baby boy’s dad is.

Picks up a 9 for his efforts.

    Asshole pointers

    1. Aids and abets a bro banging his slut.
    2. Publically drags her through the mud, and proclaims her shameful sluttiness, to the world.

Now… I disagree with his methods, but landing a 9 for a ltr, I can’t knock it. And she knows from jump street what the score is with Asshole Allen.

  8. Wow, this is really bad. All this bad can only work if you are really really good when you are good. This would require too much work, more than all there is needed for keeping half a dozen pug wives, and another half a dozen pug concubines. This would be like making duck confit all from scratch and sitting next to the bird leg while it is being cured single-leggedly.

I guess the way it works is, if you’ve got enough going for you (money, looks, game, whatever) you’ll still get girls even if you are an asshole. But no loser could turn himself into an alpha just by employing the behaviours above.

Then be a good guy with a bad streak. Coloring outside the lines can bring the pussy home in droves. Act badboy occasionally. Show you have an edge. Tell her to take a hike for no reason. Never apologize. She’ll go ballistic, then wonder what she did, and then will show up all apologetic. At this point, just look at her with a “WTF?” look, give her a kiss and hold her close as a prelude to a quickie or a blowjob.

If you’re dating a no-class bitchy type of girl who is hot but not LTR material, then yes, sure, unload the bad boy.

If you have a wife or a girlfriend who is good to you, then blunt the edge with a playful attitude. Stay classy!

To those who say this is too much work, and if you also happen to be a pushover beta, maybe this is a good time to start taking baby steps toward developing some assertiveness habits.

  17. Now having researched the underground social phenomenon, The Mystery Method, I can attest to the truth of some of Roissy’s at first, suprising positions.

“Game” is a late-evolutionary response of men who have been made disposable by child-support, state-subsidizing of females, political correctness, and especially media-aggrandizement of females and their concerns. All these social forces put together neuter a late 20th century-21st century man unless he steps up with more assertive measures.

Women have their little egos primped by the media all the time, and since women are much better at lying to themselves, they believe it. Game allows a man to tactfully tear that inflated ego down a bit, increasing his value in her eyes, while bringing down her own value.

By treating women one meets as “sets”, it dissassociates the natural embarrassment of being rebuffed and blocks a man from taking “rejection” personally. By encouraging men to date multiple females, it makes him much, much, much more immune to getting “heartbroken”. The best way to get over a woman, is another woman. Truer words were never spoken.
The only one that ever really had the power to “hurt” you, was your first love, and that was back in high school anyway, and Game is not for high school.

I think Roissy’s enthusiasm for Game is rooted in the fact that he is smart, and knows we need all these SECULAR shy, sensitive, usually-good-employee-law-abiding-decent-ordinarily-very-likeable-un-self-centered men to have more breeding success.
Religious men who appear to be “betas” apparently aren’t having as many problems breeding statistically (personal note, my subdivision is logjammed between two churches and the kids are absolutely legion in those places—–they seem to outnumber the adults), as birthrates for the religious are still are around replacement levels. SECULAR men, especially in coastal areas, aren’t doing so well by the numbers. Our Republic will suffer drastically if only real thugs and religious zealots father new kids, so men have adopted Game to give modern women the bad-boy thrill they apparently desire, supplicating them at least long enough to tie them down with children until their looks fade enough that chasing bad boys will be in their past.

If “Game” is what it takes to keep the upstanding people we need for civilization breeding, then its certainly worth it. It pisses me off beyond belief when I see things like women (TRUE STORY) leave their postal worker husband and two kids to literally go be with a professional drug dealer (mid nineties, pretty black gal at a bank—-left very “nice guy” husband for a drug dealer, facilitated by child support payments from the nice guy).

Our LAWS make shit like this possible. If you weren’t responsible for child support if a woman left you for another man, this wouldn’t happen. If you were allowed to strike out at another man for “taking” your woman (by beating the living shit out of him) it wouldn’t be possible. But that would have landed this guy in jail, and he would have lost his job. Our wicked-twisted-feminista LAWS facilitate so much of this wrong. Holding her damned head under water might help her come to her fucking senses too, but we of course aren’t allowed to do that either. So a family got split up, alpha trumping beta. The alpha is probably, of course, now sitting in prison somewhere (how many old drug dealers does anybody know? me either), and the female still mooching her last few years of child support off the nice-guy first husband. Its so damned wrong.

Game is a response where a man can turn the tables on the woman in retaliation to these things.

I think the fear of penal institutions and our laws are part of what has demasculated men. If white men in particular weren’t afraid of being outnumbered by black thugs in prison, they’d probably take a lot less shit out there. But fear of becoming “the great white defendant” for some lefty-DA to overprosecute assuredly leads so many men to bite their toungue over and over in conflict avoidance when they should say “get out of the car you goddamned fuckhole cunt” and spit a good lugie directly in her face. Women test men these days, and unfortunately for many of them, you have to be an absolute asshole to rebuff the tests. If you have gals “on the side” and she knows it, she will hang around longer and longer, getting more emotionally invested in you, thereby increasing your chances for her actually falling in love with you. Its unfortunate that it has to be that way, but unless you are with a Mormon, Amish, or plain Jesus freak-kinda gal……its probably the path to winning her submission.

Feminism practically begs for “game” and Im sure they are getting it by the mouthful. Women are getting the behaviors they have rewarded with their vaginas, but Im sure they will bitch about that anyway. As an Italian man once told me “Our women bitch no matter what you do, they are happy girls and unhappy women, so what do you do? You ignore them and do whatever you want”.

Maybe the Amish, Mormons, and “Jesus freaks” actually are happier than all the secular men looking to score pussy, because there is far less of a need for “game” in their world. Maybe there are other pursuits that are far more rewarding. Maybe there’s a reason society had all those social rules of engagement between men and women for hundreds of years. Maybe those rules worked to ensure that ALL men (not just the alphas) got women. Hm…

  21. Eh.

#1 has it right when he discusses the importance of being a man standing alone. Roissy also nailed it when he noted the importance of being dedicate to a higher mission in life then women.

Live your life fully and with purpose. Be a man. Be good. Be strong. Be confident in who you are. Follow these principles, and quality women will find their way into your life.

Does this mean you can eschew introducing yourself to them? No, but if you care for who you are and your goals, your confidence will ensure both emotional and physical pleasure. If a girl is being unacceptably difficult or unpleasant: Dump her and move on. It’s no different than refusing to associate with men who you find unlikeable or disagreeable. If your in a stage in your life where having multiple women at the same time works, do it. There will be other times where monogamy or even being single is more appropriate toward your larger goals. Roll with it as you would anything else.

I’m sure some of this bad boy stuff works. Personally, I don’t just tell somebody to “fuck off” for fun, because it’s obnoxious. But to each their own.

Other stuff is just common sense: Public sex? Sometimes it’s what happens. If your with someone who will have public sex with you, you likely will be having little to any problems with the opposite sex at that point in your life.

Yeah. This guy’s problem is a lack of confidence with women, and it can best be addressed by having him memorize light conversational patter? Because we women MADE him this way with “feminazi” laws against beating up other people?

    Right.

I’d like to posit a theory: Perhaps this man can’t get a date because every word he says oozes anger and entitlement and a lack of desire to play nicely with others? Isn’t it possible that no one healthy wants to have to clean up after that? Forcing him to choose among the already-low-self-esteem women who will tolerate him in order to get their own needs met? Which in turn further reinforces his low opinion of women?

  24. The problem with bad-boy stuff is that it will not allow a man to form a family. All that stuff is good for banging women, who love it, but it’s poison to a healthy and happy family relationship.

What’s going to happen is a lot of single mothers, in Britain it’s 50%, and among whites in the US 34%, up from 4% in 1965.

Single motherhood results in slutty, poor-judgment women, and low-status thugs. The biggest help a son can have in the mating game is status, conferred by a father at home contributing wealth and power and above all, a proper masculine example. That’s why the Black urban community has fallen apart — the way for men to achieve status absent fathers is to be the biggest thug. Which btw works.

Most of the bad-boy offspring if male will not be successful, out-thugged by minorities and out-statused by sons with fathers at home who sent them to expensive Ivy League schools. Etc.

Yes the future does belong to the religious. They are the only ones with nuclear families. The bad-boy offspring will simply be the usual results of single motherhood. Women want that anyway unless constrained by outside factors, which is why most of human history has been strife-ridden, struggles over women, and often technologically poor.

Cut the bad-boy shit in half and you’ll have a good family life. Too much and she will eventually break down and leave you. Too little and she will eventually get bored and leave you. This assumes you live in the west where nice guys are rewared for their years of loyal companionship by having half their assets rewarded to their disloyal ex-wives.

As for Roissy being some woman’s alter-ego. I doubt it, but if so, she’s helping men more than woman. His thinking is almost exactly congruent with my best friend’s game and I only disagree with him on marriage and family. The world is full of men like Roissy.

The sad truth is that this kind of crap really works. Why? Because since the so-called Sexual Revolution, women (not men) have elevated whoredom into the epitome of womanhood. So, no surprise, they get treated like whores. Then they wonder in their 30s what happened to their dream of a solid husband and white picket fence home. Just look at the college scene. Girls let themselves be used and abused (“pumped and dumped” as Roissy says) by assertive males, all the while believing they are “expressing their individuality” blah blah blah. So many women these days have become little more than cum holes. Pathetic.

“Whoa, there. I’m not a legal scholar or anything, but I’m pretty sure there were laws against assault before feminism, which is what “beating the shit out of” people and holding their heads underwater amounts to (and the latter might even be classified as attempted murder).”

I often thing that society would be better off if we brought back dueling. People would be way more polite if pistols at dawn were a possible consequence of mouthing off to someone (if just for the fact that you’d have to get your ass up at dawn).

The guys on here always start out sounding ok-ish with “This is just good way to flirt,” then I say something that points out the illogic in their positions, and rather than come up with something on-point, it’s almost always this word vomit of, “You’re ugly and fat and no one wants you and besides, you menstruate so your’e stupid and you said I’m wrong so you’re shrill….” (coming from guys who admit to being both ugly and fat, complain about no one wanting them, internet yell, namecall, oh and obviously haven’t heard that I may already have discovered the fact that I’m a girl, and decided that fact is something I can live with). By the 100th post, it’s things like, “Some one has to lead in relationships,” and “Women are biologically programmed to like abuse.” From the same guys who were trying to sound all cool.

He told her that he will not give up the house or the kids, and that he has also consulted with a lawyer… and she didn’t want to divorce him any more.

They went to marriage counseling where they discovered how they had been getting on each others’ nerves and as far as I can tell they are doing fine.

Having no expereince with the divorce system myself, I wonder if the courts really are, as a rule , as draconian as the some commentators here say they are.

  52. Case in point (although one of the less violence-prone posts on here today):

“The sad truth is that this kind of crap really works. Why? Because since the so-called Sexual Revolution, women (not men) have elevated whoredom into the epitome of womanhood. So, no surprise, they get treated like whores. Then they wonder in their 30s what happened to their dream of a solid husband and white picket fence home”

    1) The Sexual Revolution gave women the pill, and the option to have sex without getting pregnant. So, yeah, women can have sex if they want. Just like men were doing. This is considered “elevated whoredom” only if sex is allowed to be solely a procreative act for a woman. (If you really think this, I could see why your dating options are rather slim).

    2) “No surprise” they get treated like whores? Because that’s what women who have sex deserve? You do realize that the logical conclusion to this argument is that men can only have recreational sex with each other, or with their wives, right?

    3) Not every woman dreams of a solid husband and a white picket fence home, any more than every man dreams of being junior vice president at Accenture. It’s an option some enjoy and strive for, but it’s not for everyone.

If that’s what they want, they weren’t going to be there after my 28th birthday anyway, so what did I lose? 55. Reggie,

Let me tell you how I came to find out about the postal worker in that situation. My then-best friends second wife, worked at a bank. She is now something of a “private” banker (haven’t talked to Melanie in years) , but she was new in the bank business back then (early-mid-nineties). We were talking about the then-nascent gang culture in our city as the first taggings were being made, etc. Melanie, her name, told me that she half-blamed WOMEN for guys being gang-bangers. Melanie told me of a very pretty young black woman at her bank had just left her husband, a GS-employee at the post office, for a drug dealer.

I asked Melanie, “does she KNOW he’s a drug dealer”? “Yes” I was told. “Is her husband bad to her or something?” “No” I was told. In fact, she told me she had met him on several occasions and he was “the sweetest guy” and “her 2 kids seemed to just love him”, etc. This very pretty black woman (she was merely a teller according to Melanie) was rewarding the worst kind of behavior (a career felon). The “nice guy” post office employee was simply screwed. He knew he had to pay child support, he knew there was nothing he could do about it. He didn’t want to lose his job or his right to visit his kids by doing something violent.

And we wonder why the black underclass has problems rising out of perpetual poverty. This guy and the bank teller had a middle-class existence, but she was selling it out for lust. Now we both know that by now, 13 or so years later, the drug dealer has no doubt been busted and is either sitting in prison or on parole, etc.

Why is the nice guy not able to do anything? In the old days, you could not just steal some other man’s wife without massive social repreccussions. You can now though. Those two kids almost assuredly picked up their folkaways and social habits from their new environment, and are probably maladjusts.

Melanie was right, WOMEN have a lot to do with the gangbanger problem because they reward the behavior. If they shunned these men, and these guys could not get any pussy they didn’t buy…………………………they’d quit.

Game is really WOMEN’S fault. Secular women reward alpha behavior. Relgious women reward beta behavior. Secular women shouldn’t be suprised that they will be getting more and more alpha behavior from men. Thats who they have rewarded.

If the best-looking-most-choice males rewarded the sluttiest-dressing women constantly, and never gave ladies who wore dresses, nice slacks and coordinated outfits the time of day……………but only chased chicks with bare midriffs and low-tube tops, what do you think the effect on women’s fashion would be in say five years time? They’d all dress like prostitutes, because that would be the way to be rewarded with the choice male’s attentions.

I wonder if that postal worker went out and bought a fast car, started being rude, copped a dangerous attitude, began a weight-lifting regimine, and embraced his “inner asshole” in the years since? He’d probably gets more pussy, but look at the cost to society. Who is REALLY responsible. The ho’s are in my opinion.

  57. Some thoughts:

Obviously this post was intended to be somewhat tongue in cheek, and I laughed at some of the “pointers”. Well done.

With that said, the underlying principles of having a spine, not tolerating bullshit, and being your own man are excessively valuable. Combined with more sophisticated and skillful execution, it’s quite powerful, especially in an effective LTR setting, where blatantly childish behavior as described above will dynamite any chance at success.

Chicks dig sophisticated borderline sociopaths, though.

To #47, the law on this varies by state. No-fault divorce tends to make it more probable, whereas a lack of no-fault divorce or a strong and clear pre-nup agreement signed with lawyers present for both parties (never use the same lawyer – both sides need adequate representation in the eyes of the law) tend to make it less probable.

Dizzy8, you act like a teenager with a grudge. The men on this board are probably at least a vaguely representative sample of bitter American men. In a society where women wield mate-selection power arbitrarily, this should be no shock; any man playing the game who is not either a genuine power-broker (through looks, status, wealth, capability, charisma, or some combination thereof) or a sociopath is going to dislike it.

    To qualify:

    – I do not want to date you under any circumstances; I have more options than I wish to partake in already.

    – I am highly educated (one double-major college degree and two graduate level degrees).

    – In light of that, explain how your commentary in post #33 applies to me. Thank you.

Lastly, if you are worried about being victimized by a woman, don’t get married. Ever. Refusing to give up freedom matters; never allow anyone else to dictate that.

A man chooses. A slave obeys.

irony – Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs

Like someone attempting to insult someone else for having misused the word irony and actually having made up the whole event.

  60. Dizzy, the problem you have is you assume there are no social costs for a large group of men, unconnected to women, without any investment in the future, and having in the main negative experiences and attitudes towards women.

You further assume that the larger society will continue to protect women’s position in Western society, with nothing changing, even though large amounts of men will have zilch connection to women.

At best you’re looking at something like South Central, the White UK underclass, or West Africa. With violence and ever-trumping violence to gain status. These places feature violent, abusive men and dangerous social environments for women.

The fundamental difference between the West and all other societies is it’s better treatment of women, historically and currently, to it’s contemporaries. This is because the West is built on the nuclear family of betas and women strictly limiting the Alphas. A society built on a few men monopolizing most of the women and the rest of the men looking outward is intrinsically violent, unstable, and tends to devolve very quickly into brutal harems, with women as mere sex-slave resources.

The Sexual Revolution totally destroyed the fundamental basis for the West and women’s freedom to live lives as they please, by triggering a brutal “arms race” to see who can amass the most women. Women have had better lives in the West because as freely choosing “betas” it was in the self-interest of beta males to create such a society. In the war of “all against all” women fare badly.

The classic mistake women make is that the “fun” of “let’s you and him fight over me” can quickly degenerate into brutal bloodletting where the woman has a good chance of ending up dead or a sex slave. Anyone who’s seen the brutality of the Thai sex trade can attest to this.

The old “good men” who are kind, compassionate, intelligent, loyal, gentlemanly and embody the old knightly code of chivalry are becoming extinct out of necessity to survive in modern society.

Feminism has hurt women more than it has helped. See the decline of real wages over time — household income with both the wife and the husband working is in fact lower now than when only the man worked.

Working females are not getting the better end of the deal even alone. The working female slaves on the plantation farms knew this. 50% of boss abuse incidents in the modern workplace are female bosses abusing a female subordinate.

The public sphere should be masculine in character, while the private sphere feminine. Now it has flipped — the public sphere shaped after the worst traits of femininity, while the private sphere tinged with the worst aspects of masculinity.

The modern family is cold, emotionless and detached from each other. The modern worker suffers shrill, vain and self-centered bosses and even worse public officials. It only gets worse from here.

In an all-out gender war, no one will be spared.

You have a good point on that hope the other 50 percent are prob female bosses abusing a male and then the same female will go and fuck and be nice to her male boss. There is no real protection for a male vs a female in a problem at work.

And oh yea dueling should definetly make a comeback but equal where woman get to be slapped and called out too.

Although in todays day and age the government would call it equal opportunity duel and when the guy dueled the woman they would tie his hands behind his back and tape a gun to his chest. She would of course be assigned someone who could shoot to kill him as her second.

I guess I am extreme I believe woman should be considered equal in everything. When I see Mechanics working on trucks. I expect laws to be made that say there need to be mandatory 50 percent females working in the sun with them. Guys carrying a/c’s out of the chus I think there should always be a woman on the other side of that 2 person lift. When I see guys cleaning shit out of a latrine I think there should be just as many females cleaning shit too. When I see guys living in tents I think females should be living in them too all together no privacy. When I see gen mechanics I think half should be female. When I see all the project managers are mostly guys I think females should get the opportunity to work 6 months too and be fired. I think females should get to be half of the managers where they too get 6 months and are fired. I think woman should be made to be equal. PT test in army should be completely equal. Long way to go ladies for real equal eqaulity I hope it happens really it would be kind of interesting to see true equality enforced.

One thing on that though. A man and woman in the U.S. who both work and make decent money can save a shitload of money if they work as a team. Of course the way it usually works is his money pays bills her money goes to whatever she wants. When I worked before my wife and I lived on one income no problem she just didn’t work too. If she would of had an income we could have saved it all easily and been done working oh well. I had the plan but can’t always plan another persons actions. She works now though because she has too so she can eat lol. I should have listened to her mom. She told me you will never get rich. My daughter latches on to other peoples dreams but prob will not follow through. You will have things happen like a washing machine breaking. I was in love at that time but should have ran. 71. 47: “A question to those who know for a fact: is it really true that in the US a woman can leave her husband due to no fault of his own and ruin him financially?”

PA, I don’t know if this is typical, and as much as I hate to throw wood on the women-haters’ fire because this woman is the very antithesis of what feminism is about, I’m obliged to tell the truth: I work with a guy whose wife cheated on him, left my friend with their two kids (far better for the kids as she is a total flake,) shacked up with the cheat-guy & had his child, and spent the next 6 years raking him over in court, taking him for every possible thing she could think of. She made him sell his house — the house the kids call home — and apparently this is all legal as this is a no-fault state. It’s only just recently come to an end, and my friend is now a free man.

Which is all the most heinous thing I’ve ever heard of, and let me state again: being a whore who leeches off men is not, nor has it ever been, in any way a goal or tenet of feminism. Any woman who’s sticking it to a guy financially is working the deeply-flawed system, but she is no fucking feminist. Any woman who pulls that shit & calls herself a feminist is a liar, and anyone who confuses that kind of evil bitch with a genuine, self-supporting feminist (like me, for example) is irretrievably stupid. Real feminists *like* men, and are about *everyone* being treated fairly.

And if they succeed, that’s awesome, and they should get full credit for that achievement. But if they fail, they fail. End of story. They can go train & try again, as many times as is permitted, but the test should not be made easier so they can pass.

Yes, let’s reinvent everything, from the ground up. Anybody who can do one tenth that is quite impressive indeed. What you really need to know is wether someone is saying something:
    1.For their personal benefit:
The behaviour they are suggesting benefits them.
    2.For crowd/women/boss approval:
Sucking up to whomever, by saying what they are told to say.
3.Their worldview, or own sense of specialness, necesitates whatever nonsense they are saying.
    Stuff White People Like.
4.Because they believe they have a right to an opinion on anything, even when they have no idea what they are talking about.
5.They are simply justifying actions after the fact with whatever tools are at hand.
6.Cause someone put that thought in their brain for one of the above five reasons, and it’s still there.
7.Because they actually know what they are talking about, and are actually saying the truth.

Obviously, given the proliferation of 1 through 6, Shouting Thomas’s opinion is understandable… and yet still useless.

    “but the dollar is not”

Blame over printing of the dollar bills, and the digital cashless holding & tranfer system. Bear in mind, 1 trillion dollars spent just on Afghanistan alone has entered cash supplies. There is no hiding the effects.

If you have a massive increase in paper dollars without a corresponding boom in property and production inflation happens. (right now the serious economists are saying its about +15-18% per year and increasing)

The Fed Reserve Corp.’s refusal to raise rates (tightening the money supply), and massive pumping of liquidity (making it loose as a TJ hooker) only acerbates the continuing problem.

We need a massive recession, nay a depression to get back on track. The main European banks understand this and have been bitching at Ben Shalom Bernanke, while raising their rates. (insulating themselves from from the near term U.S. economic collapse) Its all over the foreign press, but ask yourself why the US press is not covering this?

Actually you better not, you might start suspecting things are not as they seem. And if you talk about it, people will call you a conspiracy theorist.

I love the works of R.H. and I will post a collection of quotes just for you Hope.

The classic mistake women make is that the “fun” of “let’s you and him fight over me” can quickly degenerate into brutal bloodletting where the woman has a good chance of ending up dead or a sex slave. Anyone who’s seen the brutality of the Thai sex trade can attest to this.

hey, what the fuck?! i enjoy yellow cunt and have been to thailand 4 times. there is probably some forced sex going on but most of the women involved in the sex trade down there come ‘willingly’ from the Issan province. they are trying to support their entire families with their cunts. sometimes they are actually successful. a few actually get married to weird guys from the west who like to settle down with yellow cunts they meet at brothels. there aren’t reliable stats on the matter but many of these marriages end in divorce ultimately- usually not b/c of the guys’s fault, by the way. you can take a girl out of issan but you can’t take issan out of the girl.

really brutal sex trade is in places like cambodia or vietnam. no joke, i had a friend who went down there. he wasn’t pedophile but said that he went into brothels where a group of VETERAN 12-13yo’s would hug him on arrival hoping 4 business. they had been sold into the business at a pre- pubescent age. he turned them down cause he rightfully found that shit disgusting. but, that shit is the real deal sex trade.

The arabs are doing the right thing by the way buying US assets with their dollars like the chrysler building before the currency colapses: sooner or later, the Chinese Central Bank will be tired of horting useless paperbills, or oil will start to be traded in Europe (note: Saddam Hussein wanted to sell oil in Euro and the US invaded them), and then the dollar will crash. No Fault divorce rules vary by state. Many on the page seem to be confusing “no fault divorce” with “fuck the guy divorce”

If a spouse is cheating and caught, that is grounds for fault divorce, which completely changes the dynamics of who gets what. 15 states do not have fault divorces.

No Fault divorce, which all states allow, is your “irreconcible differences” divorce (to use an example). No concrete reason is necessary to seek divorce.

Many no fault divorces are not particularily nasty: both sides may bicker about finances or the exact custody agreement, but generally both want to get divorced so they can meet or be with other people and are looking to get the whole deal over with (and inexpensively), although some states make you separate for a while before you file. Divorce costs a fortune in legal fees, even if it’s completely amicable.

Regardless, each divorce is a case by case basis. And you frequently only hear the side of the party your friends with. Exceptions occur, but if you think a wife can fuck a dude on your front lawn in mid day and the judge will award her everything, you’re probably wrong. Now, if the wife got caught with some dirty txts and the husband proceeded to beat the shit out of her afterwards, that’s a different story.

No Fault Divorce is just a type of divorce. It doesn’t mean anything outside the context of each case.

    Hope… given the Hyperinflation and its effect on the energy sector;
and how 80% of the cost of food is from Energy sector impact…

And the fact you can’t eat gold, and there comes a time when food simply is NOT for sale…

You really ought to have a small stockpile of high quality long term store-able foods. (six weeks minimum)
Freeze Dried foods keep their nutritional content in excess of 30 years.

(BTW Hope, If you and the Hubby want a list of reputable, affordable & honest wholesalers let me know.)

But don’t take my word for the food investment strategy.

I don’t want to alarm anybody, but maybe it’s time for Americans to start stockpiling food.

No, this is not a drill.

You’ve seen the TV footage of food riots in parts of the developing world. Yes, they’re a long way away from the U.S. But most foodstuffs operate in a global market. When the cost of wheat soars in Asia, it will do the same here.

Reality: Food prices are already rising here much faster than the returns you are likely to get from keeping your money in a bank or money-market fund. And there are very good reasons to believe prices on the shelves are about to start rising a lot faster.

Stocking up on food may not replace your long-term investments, but it may make a sensible home for some of your shorter-term cash. Do the math. If you keep your standby cash in a money-market fund you’ll be lucky to get a 2.5% interest rate. Even the best one-year certificate of deposit you can find is only going to pay you about 4.1%, according to Bankrate.com. And those yields are before tax.

Meanwhile the most recent government data shows food inflation for the average American household is now running at 4.5% a year.

And some prices are rising even more quickly. The latest data show cereal prices rising by more than 8% a year. Both flour and rice are up more than 13%. Milk, cheese, bananas and even peanut butter: They’re all up by more than 10%. Eggs have rocketed up 30% in a year. Ground beef prices are up 4.8% and chicken by 5.4%.

IIRC, it’s essentially profit taking by companies designed to take advantage of the differences in currency. Many Canadians have noted that despite the fact that their currency is essentially at equal parity with the US dollar, Canadian companies have kept their high prices, and some Canadian car companies have voided the warranties of cars purchased in the US by Canadians.

the Chinese Central Bank will be tired of horting useless paperbills

They’re stuck with those useless treasuries. Either they accept them and wait for their payback, or they can sell them, nuke the American economy, and wonder where what they’ll do with the goods that they were once selling to the US. The Europeans are buying from China, but certainly not in the way that Americans were spending in China.

Interestingly, a hulled out dollar means that manufacturing costs are lower in the US, which means a growth in jobs in that non-glamorous part of the country. If anything, the strong dollar approach was what hurt manufacturing, and has been exacerbated by the fact that everybody with half a brain wants to become a white collar employee, not some “nigger” working in blue collar. Nobody wants to manufacture when the skilled employee base is shrinking and the high wages and dollar makes foreign products considerably cheaper.

Yes, I anticipate a huge dollar crash,

To all of the fellow faux-economists here, what would *you* do to save the economy and US dollar?

    Medicare prescription drug program

That money was going to come from taxpayers (and de facto subsidized by the rich), or from your pocket directly. Certainly, you weren’t going to let grandmother die because she couldn’t afford her meds.

hyperinflation is still regarded as something that only kooks expect

If the 1970s wage and price spiral return, it’s an effective bail out for homeowners. Inflation ends up pushing up wages on paper, but fixed rate payments end up staying the same which means the mortgage ends up shrinking as a portion of one’s salary. Of course, this presumes one was smart enough to convert to a fixed rate mortgage while interest rates are low…

I may be a lonely, shrill voice in saying this given the current rage, but don’t speculate in commodities unless you are comfortable with just that: speculation.

I don’t necessarily subscribe to traditional definitions of risk and quant-jock measures (they are woefully inadequate) which state commodity markets are “too risky”, but the mentality of that game is different than investing in companies and equity markets. The market actors behave in different ways. Know the game before you jump; commodities are a great way to separate fools from their money.

If you are really worried about the value of your money declining, let me ask you this:

    Compared to whom?

Just hedge against that currency and you should end with an “average” result if you re-balance it properly as time passes.

Disclosure – I have exited my positions in oil and gold. I am currently hedging my dollar exposure through both the Euro and the Brazilian Real. I have significant long positions in dishonesty, fear, and irrationality.

  118. > hyperinflation is still regarded as something that only kooks expect

Hyperinflation is something that’s created by the central bank (true for a large economy anyway). And while US monetary base is expanding (possibly faster than it should be but that’s another issue) expansion rate at least an order of magnitude to low for even high inflation.

[and I’mactually NOT a faux economist]

As for the commodity markets, unlike equity, they crucially depend on rising demand/willingness to pay. Usually sooner, rather than later, the new steady state in commodity pricing is reached and price appreciation will stop (which in general is not true for equity markets).

“Interestingly, a hulled out dollar means that manufacturing costs are lower in the US, which means a growth in jobs in that non-glamorous part of the country.”
Except for some high-tech like aerospace and weapons and things like drywall that are too heavy to ship cheaply, the manufacturing jobs that left USA aren’t likely to return…unless Americans can start competing with workers in developing countries (fifty cents an hour, no benefits, no unions, no unemployment compensation, no OSHA, etc.)

“To all of the fellow faux-economists here, what would *you* do to save the economy and US dollar?”
The dollar is a fiat currency with trillions of units outstanding. It’s been a massive fraud since 1971 (when Nixon reneged on the Bretton Woods promise to back it with gold) that is only now beginning to be exposed (like those hundreds of trillions in derivatives). What can be done is the same as what an individual with millions of dollars of debt and no assets can do: declare bankruptcy. Politicians will never fess up, so printing the money (or in this age, clicking the Fed mouse) is the default solution. The resulting tsunami of inflation will be blamed on speculators, OPEC, greedy price-raising business executives…everyone except the Fed, just like in the Seventies.

The real-world solution is at the household level: hunker down (you’re ahead of the curve by already living at home DA) and avoid dollar-denominated investments until the dollar gets replaced with a new currency (or has some zeros removed and once again is backed with gold, or whatever). In the meantime, the suffering and political chaos (such as those poor seniors who can’t buy meds with their worthless Medicare Prescription Drug benefit dollars, or who can’t get the meds because they’re in short supply due to government price controls put in place to “fight inflation”) are likely to be mega.

Most people think the above is end-of-the-world ranting, but there have already been two US currencies that bit the dust (the Continental and the Greenback). Looks to me like the cyclical once-every-three-or-four-generations shitstorm is bearing down. Not the end of the world though. Youths people entering the workforce in, say, 2030, probably won’t give it a lot of thought, any more than we think about the Great Depression.

Ferox, if you know of anyone who took ever took a long-term massive loss owning gold bullion (presuming it was stored securely and they were not using margin/leverage and they did not buy in a frenzy like 1979/1980when people were lining up outside coin shops to buy it), I would be curious to hear about it. The dollar became fiat in 1971, and it now has the all-time longevity record for a paper currency (none has ever lasted this long without being gutted). Of course, whether to be just 10% in gold/silver or a lot more than that depends on what one expects to happen inflation-wise over the next decade…as you imply, timing largely determines an investment outcome (a la the old saw, “don’t tell me *what* to buy, tell me *when* to buy it). Diversification is the key to smoothing returns, but most Americans own zero bullion. “I may be a lonely, shrill voice in saying this given the current rage” …What rage? Commodities have merely graduated from oddball status to something that wealthy individuals and some institutions are invested in. It won’t be the rage until there is broad public participation. Most articles on commodities are saying just what you did: “invest if you dare, it’s very risky.” That’s not the sort of advice one reads near a market top. When Time Magazine and US News and World Report have cover stories, and commodities are the subject of retail investor cocktail party chatter, that will be a different ballgame.

“To all of the fellow faux-economists here, what would *you* do to save the economy and US dollar?”

Option A. (the Ron Paul Method)
    1.”Ban the Fed”

    2. Have the US Treasury print and then Issue the dollars like they are supposed to.

    3. Return us to gold as the standard of Money / currency, per the Constitution.

Like Doctor Ron Paul (R) Texas, { Houston } points out. Fiat
currencies are always going to fail, nature of the beast.

    —————————————————————————

    Option B. (S.A.M. Special Method)

    1. International Politics:
    1.0
Trade Taiwan to China PRC in exchange for all of PRC owned US debt instruments.

    1.1
Broker a deal with Saudi, PRC and Russia to 4 way divide Iran (Iranian bastards are trading oil in Euros…instead of petrodollars)
Neutron Bomb the Capital of Iran and let a Persian Shiia vs Arab Sunni battle royal decimate the country, (lets you and him fight) then bring in China-Russa-US forces to bring peace.

    2. Domestic Wealth and Asset Redistribution
    2.0
Nationalize the assets of the richest 5 percent of banking families. The ones who own the private stock of the federal reserve banking corporation.

    2.1
Nationalize just the Walmart stores, give possession of the stores to each County of residence.

(for public auction with 20% of each store’s shares being totally held by County school districts)

But lock the stores into exclusive supply contracts with the Walmart distribution network (still owned by the old corporation but mostly by the Walton family)

    3. Domestic Manufacturing / Foreign Trade / Energy
    3.0
Slap massive Tariffs on all foreign trade, to the degree that Chinese/Taiwanese/Korean/Japaneses/Indian goods are actually more expensive then us manufactured goods.

    3.1
Use this Tariff money to seed (Primarily next gen energy devices Solar/Wind/Thermal to Hydrogen Electralsys) manufacturing reconstruction. Bringing the costs of US made goods down (increased and cheaper energy supply)

    3.2
Offer massive Long term Tax Breaks to US Owned domestic manufacturing companies all the corporations to recall the jobs outsourced (employing tens of millions)

    3.3
Federal automotive mandates all new cars/trucks hybrid in 2 years, fuel-cell cars in 8, pure hydrogen in 12 years.

    3.4
Build new refineries all over the US, with a 50 life span, uncap all the capped wells and put them into production.

    3.5.
Put a moratorium on federal gasoline tax and diesel tax until we finish the Economic reset (30 years).

3.6 Stop all foreign exportation of US oil (like the 40% of the US Alaskan Pipeline to Japan)

    4. Domestic Policy Action / Foreign Policy Action
    4.0
Get Congress to order the Fed to set the prime rate to 22% like we had under Carter.

    4.1
Recognize anew, the national sovereignty of the Republic of Texas.

    4.2
Make Puerto Rico the 50th state. (Killing the I.R.S. Corporation chartered within)

    4.3
Let Texas declare war on Mexico again. Sell munitions / bombs / tanks to the Republic of Texas

    4.4
Suffer the meltdown we have coming.

    4.5
Rebuild from the ashes, like we have in the past.

Some of this may seem trivial to you or redundant. Please bear with me.

    a. fiat currencies always fail

    b. it makes the shareholder of the fed stock wealthy by generating debt against the people, and their progeny

    c. it destroys the concept of private property by causing taxation. without a fed. there would have been no need for the 16th Amendment.

    d. read The Case Against the Fed by Murray Rothbard

    e. “Congress passed the Federal Reserve Act on the 22nd of December 1913, and from that day forward the United States of America ceased to be a Republic.”

    f. It is a monopoly of the money supply rather then a free market on the monies of a country. Monopolies create anti-trust issues.

    g. it caused at least 50% of the stock market crash of 1929 by overtightening the money supply. It completely dried up liquidity. Just before powerful men started calling in on margins, causing a chain reaction failure on private bank stockholders who had leveraged to own shares. There was a massive sell off of stocks to raise money for the margin calls. Too many shares hitting the market cause share value to plummet and crash.

    h. This is the threat the world faces today. Central banks are in control of money. They have addicted the whole world to massive debt, ever more complex. Any slowdown in the inflation of the money supply threatens the solvency of the entire economy. Ludwig von Mises warned against this ninety years ago, in his Theory of Money and Credit (1912).

He warned that the government’s refusal to call a halt to monetary inflation – its return to credit-money creation – would eventually destroy the currency. He called this the crack-up boom. In the meantime, we would get endless boom-bust cycles, he said. So we have.

Let me repeat the journalist’s warning about buying shares of bankrupt firms: “Gambling involves much hope, little thought and leaves you with the irrepressible urge to repeat your mistakes.”

But what happens when bad accounting practices, complex debt, and endless monetary expansion persuade investors to buy what are in effect bankrupt companies – companies that are kept afloat only by new injections of bank credit money?

The central bankers dare not stop the flow of money. And so the leverage game goes on and on. We are riding the tiger, a tiger of endless debt and capitalized future income streams: derivatives.

  128. As a soon-to-be law student, I can tell that Dizzy, unfortunately, thinks like many female law students/lawyers – and that is to say defensive, feminist, and really kind of uncaring about anything but themselves. They reflexively call any man a misogynist who doesn’t bow down at the altar of feminism, and they will call him worse names as well. Dizzy really seems to serve no purpose here; she really doesn’t seem to bring much to the discussion. I actually kind of liked her blog, I just don’t really know what she’s about here, except maybe morbid curiosity.

The points here are very accurate. Maybe a little extreme, but in many cases true. Women’s “liberation” has given them the opportunity to fuck different guys through their 20’s, while expecting their perfect hot, smart, rich guy to bang on their door as they turn 30. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. That is why so many women in their 30’s have outrageous and even laughable expectations and are so bitter. Women like Dizzy not only have no concern for the nice men who cannot get laid, but even more stupidly, they cannot grasp the terrible long-term consequences of the current trends – for men and women alike! A society of black thugs, moron gangbanger wannabe whites, illegal Mexicans, and a tiny few upper class whites in gated communities is a recipe for disaster.

So here’s what we need to do (and Roissy probably said these at various times):

End illegal immigration. All this does is lower wages for Americans while helping rich elitists. Also it brings crime in.

End no-falt divorce (and keep it in NY State, which might be the only state left). Easy divorce favors people, men and women, who want to break up their families. Instead, reward people who want to keep families together.

Men – get some balls. I’m fucking sick and tired of seeing guys on law school message boards insecure about their looks. Any real man knows women are the sex objects in our society. Men are here to accomplish things. Smart men should not watch “Grey’s Anatomy”, they should not get plastic surgery, and they should always be confident, put a bitch in her place when she acts up, and defend themselves when necessary.

We also need more lawyers. WHAT??? Yes, more lawyers. In my research I have found a huge problem – organization after organization staffed with “women’s rights” attorneys, who work every day all over this country to take men’s rights away. Taking their families and money in divorce court, cutting their sports teams at colleges, and fighting to give more women the right to kill their unborn children (boys and girls). Seriously, there are organizations like this ALL OVER. No wonder young men are now earning LESS than young women – 17% less in NYC. No wonder more families are breaking up – feminists don’t care one shit about children. No wonder men are confused and lost in society. Because fucking feminist lawyers have been working night and day to harass society into submission. So what we need is lawyers to fight them. Male and hopefully some female lawyers who want to fight for the real voiceless in our society – the working-class and middle-class men all across this country who have more and more trouble starting and running a family and paying the bills, who are getting bitter but aren’t sure why. But every day, more and more figure out why. And at some point, maybe 10 years from now, a critical mass will build..

1930s:Greatest Depression in the history of the United States, you know it’s big cause they call it the “Great Depression”

So, kinda guess the post-Federal Reserve results were worse then the pre-Federal Reserve results. But, but, how could the savage cannibals that lived in America before 1913 have functioned without the Federal Reserve? Wouldn’t they have started eating each other in days?

Enough history about the Federal Reserve. Let’s talk people now. Let’s talk about vast unaccountable power and who is likely to want it and whose likely to get it:
A.Good guys who just want to do you a favor
B.Psychopaths, sociopaths, basically a whole line of ‘paths

    “A.The Free Market wills it!”

People have forgotten what free market means. And assume we still have one.
When ever there is any involvement and intervention by the government it instantly ceases to be a free market. Period.

We have not had a free market for over 100 years (in the US).

Remember the spectrum looks like this…
Free Market = No Government, just Traders
    Interventionist = Some Government Involvement
Marxism-communist = The State owns all

The US has steadily moved towards the other end of the spectrum since the Fed was created.
Do you think this was accidental?

    “Why did oil go up?”
    1.
Currency devaluation (inflation) due to large increases of money supply (fault Fed)
    2.
International Market speculators who are gambling that it will go higher
    3.
Washington beating the War Drum for Iran. Adding fuel to cause 2.
    4.
Iran promising to sink a passing oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz,
if the US attacks. Adding fuel to cause 2.
    5. The media saturating the news with points 4, 5 so that even day traders are getting in on cause 2.

I think it should be noted that the Fed had little of the influence it has today, since today 50% of GDP is government influenced versus 1% during the Great Depression.

Also we had plenty of other depressions in US history. The one in 1929 was so bad because of the global economic situation created by a moron named Wilson. France was also partly responsible with their revenge hungry snivelry because Germany made them look like fools in the loss of Alsace Loraine and Bismarck basically alienated them from every great European power. The fragile state of the European economies further exacerbated the US economy with everyone implementing protective tariffs. I am well aware of the bulk of literature faulting the Fed with the Great Depression, however the Fed alone was marginally responsible for the great economic crash.

The most powerful lobbiests sent by the richest 20% control the top of either party. You don’t have to control ever member of congress to own it, just the head.

I deal with items on an issue by issue basis. But if anything, I am a consititutionalist/bill of rights-er. From these principles, I have to defend the right to own personal property (putting me squarely at odds with marxism) I think the best motivator to work is an empty stomach and not a tax payer financed meal. I hate the welfare state.

I am the offspring of bohmian-beatnik ultra radical trotsky-ite hippies. But I find no betterment for the human condition under a Marxist or Socialist state. I dared to rationally disagree against the ideologs that my parents tried to shoved down my throat.
I also found a belief in the Creator, that the framers of the constitution believed in. Alas, the poor athiest has no natural rights in his own mind, therefore he will accept it when the State withdraws, or cancels them. Who will he call on to over rule the state?

This alone creates the phenomenon known as natural rights. If you truly believed in natural rights you’d be a leftist opposed to US interrogation methods as groupthink dictates.

It is arguable whether the framers believed in a creator because many philosophers have bordered on atheism, but have weaseled out of it because of the social climate which would crucify them (how ironic) if they admitted to being atheists.

“Are you serious? Do you believe in an actual place called Hell?”

As unpopular, nutty, and anachronistic as it may seem,
Yes, I believe in it. I believe the Creator has created two places for the eternal home of the Immortal Human Soul.

One place, commonly referred to as “Hell”, is now open for those people who have chosen with their free will, not to want God and to follow a life marked with selfless compassionate love towards all humanity equally.

The other place, is for those human souls who have desired God, and chosen to love their fellow humans. If all humanity lived by loving like Mohandas Gandhi, and Mother Theresa, instead of living just for themselves, earth would be a delight.

I don’t want anyone to choose the former. No one should want it. The Denial of its existence is a pretty good way to continue in a life that is willingly harmful to self and others.

Acceptance of its existence on the other hand, helps you remember (in this thing called life) that when walking along a cliff-side road at night, that a careless walk will not be beneficial.

If you want a real challenge…

Love your enemies, feed them, clothe them, shelter them, look em in the eye when you disagree with them, yet Love them nonetheless.

I believe in cause and effect, the law of consequences, the law of unintended consequences and in Karma… just not by the name of Karma.
(Karma causes indifference see next section for why)
The idea is also found in the bible:

Its found in the Christian’s bible section called the “new testatment” in one of the books called “Letter to the Galatians”.
In its sixth chapter, and seventh verse:

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (KJV)

    Or in my words…

Don’t fool yourself, God can’t be gamed and clowned.
What you dish out to others, thats whats coming back to you.

    Next section… Karma = indifference

    ** ** **

My personal problem with the loaded concept of Karma, is that it breeds indifference to the plight of those who are suffering:

If I believe that the kids who are starving to death in the world ( for whatever real reason that is ) because, they were bad people or did bad things in there past life/s. Then they are being judged in this life for those past-life bad karma debts.

Why should I lift a hand? They need to experience their full punishment… so they learn not to do whatever it is they did… but (Kafka-like) cannot seem to remember doing.

This is a real consequence to Karma belief, that I have seen first hand in the Korean and Vietnamese households that I have spent time within.

These families have mindfullness but don’t have compassion. They say compassion is only from the gods and buddhas and that humans cant be compassionate. Its out of humanity’s reach.

(I’m not gonna get into ma-ha-yana vs. theirvada sect debate)

Here is some information for your edification…
    —————————————————————————-

    Hindu-buddist doctrine says:

Karma-Vipaka is intentional action and its ripened effect.
Karma-Phala is intentional action and its fruit. (pretty much the same thing) It is when we speak of intentional action together with its effect or fruit that we speak of the Law of Karma.

Its taught that karma can be of two varieties – wholesome karma or good karma and unwholesome karma or bad karma.

In this case, it is kushala karma or akushala karma, karma that is wholesome or unwholesome.

    Kushala means intelligent or skilful.

    Akushala means ignorant, clumsy.

These terms are used, not in terms of good and evil but in terms of skilful and unskilful, in terms of intelligent and unintelligent, in terms of wholesome and unwholesome.

Now that thats out of the way… Consider yourself having learned something new today.

    Right…..

They were just “using’ people… the poor and disenfranchised = Means to a end. Wow.

I thought you had a warmer less cynical heart then this. My word, you are jaded and hurt.

Selfless service of others, is its own reward, you don’t need the goal of heaven to do it. Once you start doing it, you can find that service is not a means to take something but to give. But the consequence of giving is that you wind up with something back. (call it karma if you have to)

“Isn’t serving the poor & disenfranchised a way–in fact the only way–to get to that place you call Heavenl?”

    An answer:

The bible makes the statement “No one comes to the Father (God) but through Jesus” this is a quote from Jesus.

He says if you have faith or trust in him, you go to heaven. He says makes it clear that faith has a side effect or a benchmark: “obedience”. Following the rules is obedience.

There are 2 Rules: Love God, and Love His Creations. If you are trusting Him, then you are following in His footsteps.

Jesus also tosses out a brainteaser for you:
“If you try to save your own life then you will lose it, but if you lose it for my sake, only then you will save it.”

He makes it clear that your intention must be based in love of others for it to have any meaning. If you are serving a with a selfish intention of saving yourself, then your work is disqualified.

Of course, you got cats like Nupnup, who hates God and other “invisible friends” who wont be bothered to obey rule number 1.

This the next point is why atheism is bad:

There is a bad consequence for believing that Humanity is the highest intelligence in the universe.

Adolf Hitler, Joe Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mao Zedong thought they were the end all, and be all of Human Power, and the only thing they created were mass graves. They were gods all right, but of death.

You presume quite a bit with your cynical, jaded and hurt accusation. But just to prove how magnanimous I am, I shall forgive you this time. Of course one doesn’t need a reward of heaven to do service. It is in fact it’s own reward. The question is, would Mother Teresa be the servant she is was (is?) without the reward.

Rule 2: “Love God, and Love His Creations.”

Then God’s love is surely conditional if she will send a person straight to hell as punishment for whatever the hell she considers hell-worthy which gets pretty complicated. She is no better than a human being then. But I do not believe in hell or a God who love’s conditionally.

Here’s a mind fucker for you and most here: Adolf Hitler, Joe Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mao Zedong went straight to heaven when they died. Why? Why not? God does not punish her own creations. The punishment was inherent in their actions and occurred concurrently with them. Just as the reward is in the action itself as you so clearly stated. What need then of Hell? There is none. It would be stupidly pointless and in my humble opinion, God is more intelligent than that.

“Precisely why one needn’t believe in an invisible father-figure in the sky in order to do good in the world.”

Doing good is fine and dandy…

There are other more important reasons to believe in “invisible father-figure in the sky” (I see, {with my heart and not my eyes} Him all amongst us, down here too)

I believe that everyone will meet the maker of the universe.

I want to get to know him. I want to become a friend with him. I want to be like him. I believe that its possible to do so while on earth here, and now.

The reason people believe that there is no way to personally know God, is because most cant be bothered to try by making the effort required.

They would rather substitute and give money to a televangelist, have meaningless forms, rituals, endless rules and religions. Or fabricate a yarn about his Non Existence.

    Another reason for belief:
Abe Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs leaves out having a personal relationship with the Creator as a fundamental aspect of becoming Actualized. I think its essential.

We don’t need God, to do good on earth…

Ahh, but its certainly seems that you need to dismiss the eternal nature (postmortem) of humanity, our humanity’s potential destiny. I am not a nihilist, nor a reincarnationist. I am a resurrectionist.

I read Pascal’s Wager and It changed everything.

You burden yourself: “/sigh”. You are on a mission to create more Christians? Of course, all Christians are, but in my opinion the only Christian who ever lived died on the cross, but he never really died on the cross at all. Will tell you the story of that if you like.

And yes, I’m as sure of my beliefs as you are of yours. It’s the ring of truth I feel. That is what I go by, and to attempt to believe that God is both unconditionally loving and ready to send a person to agonizing hellish punishment for eternity doesn’t jibe. I mean, it’s insane to believe both things at once. When this contradiction is pointed out to traditional Christians they start quoting the Bible left and right and make no sense. When you try to point out the contradictions in the Bible they say it is “the word of God” but somehow those words were put on paper by flesh and blood human beings.

“…and to attempt to believe that God is both unconditionally loving and ready to send a person to agonizing hellish punishment for eternity doesn’t jibe.”

    Me:
Whomever that told you He is unconditionally loving, either lied or ignorantly misrepresented what the actual scriptures say.

    Condition 1.
He accepts those who will accept Him and his Son, he rejects those who reject Him and his Son.

    Condition 2.
Those who are obedient to the Law of Love, he adopts into his family. On the other hand, to the rebel, He has given the gift of less then 120 years of life on earth, (that the rebel may use in any way, that he is able to chose) and nothing more.

I have plenty more conditions if you want them, but for the sake of brevity, I will suffice with the above.

    You:
“I mean, it’s insane to believe both things at once.”

    Me:
    I agree.

    You:
“When this contradiction is pointed out to traditional Christians they start quoting the Bible left and right and make no sense.”

    Me:
Okey, having explain the above… there is no real contradiction. Just a misunderstanding.

    F.Y.I.
Traditional christianity is a religion and not a relationship with the creator. It is a blend of paganism from the Roman Religion called “Sol and Victus” blended with Messianic Judaism.

It was merged into the state religion by the pagan Emperor Constantine, to prevent his empire from falling into total civil war. I am not a “Christian” in the traditional sense, for these and many other reasons.

Those who don’t understand their religion are incapable of quoting the source texts, within proper context, therefore they can’t do anything but muddy up the water.

As you have rightly said… “they make no sense with all of their quotations, left and right.”

    You:
“When you try to point out the contradictions in the Bible they say it is “the word of God” but somehow those words were put on paper by flesh and blood human beings.”

    Me:
God uses willing men, the in the same way men use pens.

If there is a failure, its not in the words on the page, but in the mind’s ability to understand them. (spiritual maturity plays the biggest part in this)

The human mind is not capable of understanding everything, there are certain facts of reality that are always going to be a mystery.

Things that are incompletely understood can only generate more questions (and debate), and down the rabbit-hole you go to chase for the understanding of something and never gain/manage it.

Not everything that you perceive, to be some kind of contradiction, is in fact really a contradiction at all.

“…and to attempt to believe that God is both unconditionally loving and ready to send a person to agonizing hellish punishment for eternity doesn’t jibe.”

Oh, and for the record… Its us, not God, that send ourselves, (by the free will choices we make), to the
    “agonizing hellish punishment for eternity”.

If anything, He is merely compiling with the wish of that person to “do without Him” and to remain wrapped up within the loveless selfishness that leads someone to hell.

To deny that we have consequences for our exercise of free will, is another way of saying God is unjust, and unfair.

His justice is perfect, fair and reasonable but most of all inescapably inevitable.

In the words on the streets:
“If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime”

    —————————————————————————
I have no desire to, as you put it,
“You are on a mission to create more Christians?”

I am more like a fireman, waiting for someone to call and ask for help with saving a life. A Fireman is a member of a team. But its God who provides for the saving.

    Another metaphor:
I am not the spring or source, but like a kitchen tap. But if your thirsty, I can help you take a drink.

Whether or not, a person responds to the assistance by joining a Fireman Company, or takes the water to other thirsty people, ultimately is not my concern or problem.
    I don’t recruit, or convert.

I love people, sometimes I have difficulties in doing so.
In post 157, at the end, I said:

“If you want a real challenge…

Love your enemies, feed them, clothe them, shelter them, look em in the eye when you disagree with them, yet Love them nonetheless.”

Your goddess Idol lets you be hateful, compassion-less, and act like a genocidal tyrant, and rewards a life of such behavior with nothing but her best.

(Sara, please prepare yourself for some sharp words)

Frankly, For your own good, I have to spit on your false idol. She encourages Harm by repaying good with evil in the here & now, and in the after-life rewarding evil behavior with goodness everlasting. She reminds me of “oh so many” human goddesses running around down here. (by that I mean, she really has her priorities straight)

Now that I have discharged my duty, my conscience is clear towards you, Sara. I will continue this discussion with you, only if thats what you desire. I think you will not want to as I have just insulted your goddess.

I would prefer to take it to email, IM or some private message board. There are some here, who find our conversation to be offensive, to their profligate prodigal sensibilities.

    “Frankly, For your own good”

This is funny. Does Hope know how preachy you’re being about old age authors? (She accused me of being preachy about new age authors.)

I have no idea why you are directing this to me. Do you?

“She reminds me of “oh so many” human goddesses running around down here. (by that I mean, she really has her priorities straight)”

At this point, I need a translator and am not sure that would help.

“I think you will not want to as I have just insulted your goddess.”

Perhaps you have me confused with someone else. I have no goddess and never have. Is it because I used the word “she” to describe God? So what? God has no sex. I only use it to cause trouble and make people aware of their stupidity in referring to God as father as she is neither mother or father, but ‘it” sounds dumber still, so what can you do?

Well, there is one thing we have in common; crystal clear consciences, but your beliefs are way to complicated for me. If the truth is that complicated I’m never going to get it. I personally
believe the truth is very simple. I mean otherwise only genius’s or Bible scholars would get it and we both know how complicated the Bible is.

“Then God’s love is surely conditional if she will send a person straight to hell as punishment for whatever the hell she considers hell-worthy which gets pretty complicated. She is no better than a human being then. But I do not believe in hell or a God who love’s conditionally.”

    “…If she…”

Which given the fact, that this sub thread that started at post 152 and 153.

You remember, where I am questioned by You, whether I believe in a place called hell, when I referenced Jonathon Edwards.

Given that fact… that this is the Historical God of which the sub-thread has been talking about. Your use of a “She” denotes a separate / different deity or an attempt to redefine “God”

    In your words:
“I only use it to cause trouble and make people aware of their stupidity in referring to God as father as she is neither mother or father, but ‘it” sounds dumber still, so what can you do?”

    You can cease trolling… or

You can respect the decorum of civility in debate. You can forthrightly say: “I don’t accept God as a male deity that has been taught for almost five thousand years”, and say you challenge that.

Instead of committing a social blunder or faux pas.

You realize you have just called Jesus stupid, because he refers to God as his father. You have also called the bible stupid because it refers to God as the father as well… Nice!!!

This is the goddess idol, to which I refer. A false Idol.
Anything that isn’t the real Creator but is called a god or goddess is an idol. The moment you start redefining God as a female, you are talking about a different deity. Ergo “an idol”
Contrasted with the “Father God” to whom Jesus frequently referred, and is found throughout the Old Testament.

    ——————————————————————————-
    Me:
“Your goddess Idol lets you be hateful, compassion-less, and act like a genocidal tyrant, and rewards a life of such behavior with nothing but her best.”

    You:
“WTF? “goddess Idol”? You’ve lost me on that one. Now I’m hateful and compassion-less? This is too funny.”

    My context:
Your goddess Idol concept lets you be… ( the “you” here is a plural you e.g. Y’all )
Notice the phrase ‘genocidal tyrant’ that is part of that sentence. As in Hitler, Mao etc.

Notice also, that you didn’t include that term when you make it appear that I am calling you “sara” hateful, compassion-less.

I think your reinterpretation of the Historical God of the bible stinks bad. As does your understanding of Divine Justice.

For the record, I have not ever seen you “sara” as hateful.

But you are choosing to play dumb, and perceive it as more complicated that it really is. A very common reaction when a person’s cockamamie personal belief system is challenged.

“Its not simple enough. I am not listening any further”
“Its too hard to know truth”
“You teaching is too complex therefore it must not be true”
“Since its not true, then there is no point believing it.”

A lazy & weak syllogism from you to evade truth?
Sara, I expected more from you. I really did.

Yes, you’re right. I WAS playing dumb. In my worldview, truth is simplicity itself; beautiful, lovely, happy-making. And your words are indeed complex, your beliefs are too illogical (?!) for me. Truly. This statement “you expected more from me” I think could only come from someone who is super-ego driven to a high degree; an enneagram personality type one; perfectionist. It’s a highly parental statement. That sounds very critical but is not intended to be as much as it sounds. More an observation. I am a type eight who is very un-super-ego driven, so we will probably disagree a lot.

Fair enough. Although it sounds like “contempt prior to investigation/exploration”. Science and logic are wonderful tools, but they are ill suited for all tasks. Even Einstein flipped over to faith and mysticism at the end.

Challenge your self to why a brain such as him, would ever do such a illogical thing.

Went to the Enneagram people for the first time, a few hours ago, as a result of your implicit challenge.

Looks like a good diagnostic tool. I may wind up buying another book, and devoting more hours of precious time to studying a new subject.

Re: “Would like to know your opinion if you check it out.”

I am not as super-ego as you would have me be.
I am an investigator. I suspected you of a higher work ethic,
and when I perceived laziness I made the comment.

I made a few judgment calls based on your ability to think outside the box (re: mercury poisoning etc.) and other things. Your work “response” was less then my expectation.

    According to my free test:
I am in good company with Steven King and Gary Larson, both Fives with Four wings

    Type Five (7 points)

    The Investigator

The perceptive, cerebral type. Fives are alert, insightful, and curious. They are able to concentrate and focus on developing complex ideas and skills. Independent, innovative, and inventive, they can also become preoccupied with their thoughts and imaginary constructs. They become detached, yet high-strung and intense. They typically have problems with eccentricity, nihilism, and isolation. At their Best: visionary pioneers, often ahead of their time, and able to see the world in an entirely new way.

    Type Two (6 points)
    The Helper
The caring, interpersonal type. Twos are empathetic, sincere, and warm-hearted. They are friendly, generous, and self-sacrificing, but can also be sentimental, flattering, and people-pleasing. They are well-meaning and driven to be close to others, but can slip into doing things for others in order to be needed. They typically have problems with possessiveness and with acknowledging their own needs. At their Best: unselfish and altruistic, they have unconditional love for others.

    Type Nine (6 points)
    The Peacemaker
The easy-going, self-effacing type. Nines are accepting, trusting, and stable. They are usually creative, optimistic, and supportive, but can also be too willing to go along with others to keep the peace. They want everything to go smoothly and be without conflict, but they can also tend to be complacent, simplifying problems and minimizing anything upsetting. They typically have problems with inertia and stubbornness. At their Best: indomitable and all-embracing, they are able to bring people together and heal conflicts.

My wing has been determined to be type Four
(had three points in it with my test).
I had zero points on my Type Six.

    The test results in full:
    Type one 1
    Type two 6
    Type three 5
    Type four 3
    Type five 7
    Type six 0

Glad you found it interesting. I’ve posted the link a number of times, and you’re the first. I know all about type fives. My daughter is a five/w four wing and I get along well with fives, but you don’t strike me as a five for some reason. At least not so far.

I am an eight with nine wing. Same as Susan Sarandon, Martin Luther King Jr. Johnny Cash, Barbara Stanwyck, Don Coreleone. Eights go to five under stress and I love my intellectual five-ishness. Eights go to two when secure which accounts for my highly vulnerable, “romantic” and giving side and my deep love of children and animals.

“Even Einstein flipped over to faith and mysticism at the end.

Challenge your self to why a brain such as him, would ever do such a illogical thing.”

Yes, I know this about Einstein and have said exactly the same thing about him to support some of my own opinions.

“I suspected you of a higher work ethic,
and when I perceived laziness I made the comment.”

I just don’t like to work so hard at things sometimes. If it doesn’t come easily enough, sometimes I have no problem saying “fuck it”. Let’s face it; communication is not easy and on a blog site, even harder.

“PA, I don’t know if this is typical, and as much as I hate to throw wood on the women-haters’ fire because this woman is the very antithesis of what feminism is about, I’m obliged to tell the truth: I work with a guy whose wife cheated on him, left my friend with their two kids (far better for the kids as she is a total flake,) shacked up with the cheat-guy & had his child, and spent the next 6 years raking him over in court, taking him for every possible thing she could think of.

Any woman who pulls that shit & calls herself a feminist is a liar”

The divorce laws changed to allow this behavior because of feminist pressure and in fact writing of those laws Clio. It’s nice that you decry this woman’s ruthlessness, but feminists are hardly mobilizing to make things fairer for BOTH sexes, now are they?

It is true there’s no effective men’s movement, outside of some religious circles. Just why that is, I’m not sure, but I am sure it has to due with men’s extreme reluctance particularly in our culture to organize in a way that can be seen as organizing AGAINST women, and feminist pressure groups will and do most assuredly vilify any fledging attempts in just that way.

It’s doubly outrageous she could get so much since she didn’t have custody, but even if she did get it, under these circumstances where the abandonment of the marriage vows is essentially all hers (though you can always find something, esp. women can, they’re well practiced) I FIRMLY believe that she should get no more than the proportion of the marital assets she earned/contributed MAYBE rounded up to not less than 1/4 or 1/3. Also NO alimony. Zero.

The point is in any American marriage and I believe you are talking about a Canadian one here, the moment the union is solemnized a man LEGALLY AND ENFORCEABLY hands over to the woman the power to do what you describe, or maybe a little less but still be richly rewarded for feeling “it’s time to move on and grow” (and btw try to find a more thrilling new lover – or by and bye go official with the one she’s sneak tip with before the divorce. With the divorce rate 50% and 70% initiated by women, usually really for these reasons (with some other times an inconsequential instance of just sex male adultery giving her an emotional and moral excuse though it wouldn’t have affected the marriage if she didn’t want it to) is it any wonder that more and more American men particularly in the bigger cities are delaying marriage for longer, and many deciding now not to get married? Knowledge of this divorce theft situation even when it’s the woman who is cheating or wants to go out hunting again (abandoning her marriage) is only beginning to become more widespread. It’s still a surprise to most men, and a great many go into denial about it — because yeah the do want to be settled down and married to someone they love and vice versa, but without the one way divorce theft threat hanging over their heads.

Women in contrast agree to nothing in a legally binding way when they get married, except in the unusual case when they are the high earners (and even there feminist infested American divorce courts usually lean heavily in the woman’s direction, minimizing or eliminating any payout from her to him.) Not an money transfer during marriage or on divorce in the great majority of cases (women in the large maj. of cases want to marry up and men down and also want to slack off on maximizing their earnings once they are married for biological sex diff reasons.) Women certainly don’t enforcably or even morally any longer agree to have sex with there husbands much or at all after they’re married if the discover they don’t feel like it after awhile. Yet that was a key, central reason the husband married her. At least half the reason in most cases. An American woman may have legal obligations to her children — but none to her husband whatsoever.

It’s one of the most one way contracts essentially imposed by the government in America today. If you listen to all the happy talk and decide to get married.

So don’t. Commit and live together instead. It’s vastly fairer.
