The View Is Mind Rot

The English woman who was jailed in Sudan for letting a kid in her class name a teddy bear Muhammed is profusely apologizing for causing offense to fundamentalist freaks:

I was very upset to think that I may have caused offence to people – very, very upset about it.

I’m just an ordinary middle-aged primary school teacher. I went out there to have an adventure and got a lot more adventure than what I was looking for. I never imagined this would happen.

Mrs Gibbons added that she was “very sorry” to leave Sudan, where she had had a “fabulous time”.

It is a beautiful place and I had a chance to see some of the countryside.

As a representative of the decaying, degenerate West this woman comes close to embodying the sad state of its people. A bunch of filth called for her death over a teddy bear name and she is sorry for causing them emotional distress.

Holy fucking christ.

This is what happens when a culture is utterly feminized and castrated. You show your soft underbelly at the slightest provocation hoping the bully will leave you alone, and when he doesn’t you apologize for instigating him to steal your lunch money. The fighting spirit of the West is gone; the death of the fucking spirit will follow.

At least she enjoyed the countryside. Fabulous!

The National Organization for Women said they were “not putting out a statement or taking a position.”

Handy Translation: “Now that we American feminists have completely neutered our men into submission we secretly get moist for the Saracen barbarians who would put us in our legs-spread, ass-up place. And we can perfectly rationalize this under the rubric of multiculturalism.”

The View chimed in with this gem:

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: You’d think if you’re going overseas, I mean, we had this discussion yesterday about people coming to America and learning the customs and knowing what is cool, and what isn’t cool. But I find that maybe we are not- and I say we just as European and American, we’re not as anxious to learn the customs before we go places. It’s just one of the reasons we’re called the ugly Americans.

If you get jailed or stoned for consenting to a kid naming his teddy bear after a mythical pedophilic figure you are an ugly American for not making the effort to learn about your tormentors’ randomly murderous impulses.

Whoopi Goldberg, you are a dumb fuck. 100% dumb fuck.

Here is something no one will ever hear on The View:

Some cultures are superior. Some are inferior. We half-brained old bags of The View are awfully glad we live in a superior culture so that we may broadcast our nonsense without fear of public execution.

Given that the audience for The View is mostly middle-aged menopausal hausfraus well past their expiration date the upside is that men won’t be looking to bang them and therefore won’t need to pretend to take their idiotic opinions seriously.

The downside: These hausfraus vote.

  4. Actually, this event was instigated by a disgruntled school ex-employee and allowed to go forward because of the Sudan national government’s unease with foreign military forces about to begin a peace-keeping mission in their country’s boonies.

The fact that most Sundanese never heard of teddy bears didn’t help.

The outrage on both sides is the result of manipulation and a lazy press corps.

The woman may have been under orders to apologise as a condition of her release. Not good – but with the Darfur situation so critical, and a peace-keeping mission about to begin, there may have been many other lives hanging in the balance.

I imagine the Sudanese government encouraged the news to spread (don’t tell me that they couldn’t have quashed this story from the start! it’s not as if they have much freedom of the press there…), to “send a message” to the peacekeeping forces about to arrive – and to its own people, to say, “see, we will uphold Islam, although we allow these foreigners into our country.” Sudan has a secular government; for that reason, it has to work hard to look as if it will not allow insults to Islam.

Wait what? You didn’t hear about this? It was the highlight of my past week. I forgot you’re not a gossip homo like I am or you actually do your job for a living. Basically to some it up the paparazzi took pictures of JLH in a bikini and she had a fat ass (not phat). She went all cry baby on the press saying in her blog (who knew she had a blog) that she’s set back too long and not spoke up against them.

Translation: when I was skinny and everyone loved me I didn’t care what the press said about the bigger girls. After I became one of them and got caught I’m going to cry about being a celebrity blah blah blah….

Her second statement that made me laugh was she said, “being a size 2 doesn’t make you fat”. I spit out my water because once you see the pics, you’ll just get it.

In the end karma came back to um bite her in the ass for appearing in the LFO video “Girl on TV” (don’t think I forgot! You broke my heart JLH you broke my heart!). I also heard John Mayer is rededicating Wonderland to a woman who truly deserves it. Kim Kar. He’s writing JLH a new song, “Your ass is cheese”

Joking aside, I have read photographers / photo retouch artists in the industry writing that Victoria’s Secret models have tons of cellulite, as they tend to be thin but not toned. JLH is still an underwear model for Hanes, and unless she totally becomes obese, the bit of weight she put on can be easily retouched.

Nothing — and I do mean absolutely nothing with 100% certainty — you see in magazines or glossy celebrity photos is real anymore. No no, a diet of small portions of vegetables, fruit, white meat and multivitamins, plus daily minimum 30 minutes of exercise, is mint for the long term. The result is better energy, better sleep and better body shape and feel than anything caffeine and cigs can ever produce.

I only drink water now after cutting out caffeine, but I’m hardly ever tired. Also running / exercises tone you up, and the muscles you build burn calories while you rest. It is very unnatural for humans to never move around and be carted around in tin wheels all day. Yes, I’m one of those closet exercise nuts.

  26. BTW, dominant women appear to need dominant men. Try reading the biography of Diana Mitford Guinness Mosley. (I wrote about her on my blog once.) She was a staggering beauty and very intelligent too – but like all self-educated people very arrogant and sure of her own opinions. She dumped her extremely handsome, nice, and very rich husband Brian Guinness (yes, that Guinness family, the brewers, you know) for the fascist leader Oswald Mosley, who was never faithful to her throughout their marriage, was a thoughtless father to their children, and was a tightwad into the bargain and much less rich than her first husband. But – he was dominant.

Us females should be careful about doing things like this.

The taste of crow is still fresh in your mouth after the Duke lacrosse case, and here you are jumping to conclusions again.

American citizens working for an American company in an U.S.-occupied country should not be subject to US law? To compare this to the Duke case is laughable, and it exemplifies your kind of twisted logic that draws analogies where analogies shouldn’t be drawn. This hasn’t even been brought to trial. It surfaced in the media two years after the fact, unlike the Duke case which was picked up almost immediately.

They used an arbitration clause in an employment contract to bury the alleged repeated drugged rape of a woman held prisoner in a shipping container. The corruption in contractors is no longer news, but the fact that arbitration can be expanded to cover this sort of legal ground is. The Iraqi government tried to close loopholes which Blackwater exploited, and this is along the same clause.

You bring up some highly sensationalized case about a Duke rape. Ironically enough, this story probably won’t ever see the front page of CNN, because the victim is white, and this case will be heard in private arbitration instead of a public courtroom. KBR says her employment contract requires it.

Finally, you’re the one jumping to conclusions here. You have no idea how much I hate women that cry fake rape. I’ve met a few of these attention whores in my time, and all they do is make things worse for women who actually have gone through it. Maybe if you are an actual American patriot, you’d worry for the loss of right to trial for American citizens rather than focus on the “is she lying” aspect of the case.

  37. Whether or not people are innocent or guilty, whether or not victims are telling the truth or just trying to get money, is not for some contractor corporation to decide, but for the court of law.

The Army test showed she was raped. Any criminal investigation should be done by neutral outsiders. She is an American citizen protected under the laws of the United States. KBR is not law enforcement. The Army should have informed the FBI about a civilian rape, but instead the rape kit was handed over to KBR.

The doctor who handled her case said “I have no idea which rape victum you are because so many young contractor girls were raped after drinking with the guys” and “I performed so many rape kits in the six months that I was stationed there that there would be no way to recall whom yours was.”

Here’s a story with four other ex-KBR employees filling suits against the company:

    http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=25b_1183195668

Anyway, it doesn’t matter. Five different women could all be conspirating together against American men, and you would never believe their claims without the court system handing down a verdict — if they could ever get a day in court, thanks to the corporate contractor clauses backed by American tax dollars.

    Like

  38. I never said I’d wait for the verdict to be handed down by a court to decide it. What I said was I won’t say it was one way or another because I don’t have all the facts. After reading the second article, yeah it seems shady. And having worked as a contractor in Afghanistan, I know how those guys act and I would not recommend that women go over there. I’m weighing that against what I’ve seen/know what women are capable of when it comes to falsely accusing and conspiring. So yeah, I don’t know what way or another, which is much different than saying the guys are innocent, which I never did.

I never said anything about being a patriot. I said that you’re being ridiculous for acting as if the USA is comparable to an Islamic nation.

Times have changed the woman go after the guy a lot of times to promote there agenda and get special priveledges. We really are equal now not every woman is raped just because they have sex they are raped when it was an accident and the guy couldn’t get them a promotion. If they didn’t want to have sex they would have just beat the guy up right and left we are equal never forget that. Except that woman have suppreme power over here they are the only ones with vaginas so it is like they are super equal because there are only like 10 per 100 men and theres no porn allowed and no drinking allowed and no sex allowed except with certain woman that are in your own company so yea uhh

  45. oh yeah and gunslinger’s first comment was right. any woman was scooped up in about 12 hours. we had one woman on our contract — this serbian chick secretary who was a straight up swamp donkey and some dude was engaged to her in a month after she’d been passed around a bit. i saw the same thing when i was in the marines too, and i saw a lot of rape false rape allegations there too. some girl gets passed around the barracks and it’s all rawraw fun and games and nutting in her face and she’s one of the guys. then she gets a rep for being a skank and no one wants to bang her. meanwhile there’s some douchebag who’s been her “boyfriend” the entire time and is the only one unaware that she’s being made airtight on the daily. someone feels bad for him and lets him know what’s going on, he confronts her, and she says she was raped. i saw it happen no fewer than 6 times — a girl will gladly jeopardize a guy’s career and future to avoid looking like the whore that everyone knows she is.

One of the girls in the rape story Hope mentioned was 20 years old with fake titties. im not saying it went down like this, but i would not be surprised at all if she went over there all young and chipper, big boobies pressing up against her brown skivvy shirt, and all of a sudden found herself surrounded by more attention than she’d ever felt. and the guys over there were persistent. it would have been relentless. if she were anything but a strong person, and i dunno too many 20 year old girls (with fake titties) who are, she would have likely caved. and again, i simply cant believe that she was being held prisoner in a shipping container unless she was maybe on suicide watch.

i could be (and hope i am) wrong tho. but unfortunately if i were it’d be more the exception than the rule.

sorry for hijacking. i saw a lot of good guys get their shit wrecked over fasle rape allegations and i get a little worked up.

Combined with the what I suspect is the culture of “the west is bad”, and they’re “Misunderstood”, and how no one gets the difference between “tolerance” and acceptance(A southpark episode explained this brilliantly), this is a self-blamed self-pity event waiting to happen.
Recall those Christian Korean hostages that were held, some murdered(off with the head!), in Afghanistan(could be Iraq, I don’t recall). They spent their entire time apologizing to their home country for allowing themselves to be kidnapped and some killed, and how it was all their own fault. And this Stockholm syndrome occurs EVERYTIME in this region of the world. A great majority of these people kidnapped have preconceived notions about how evil they themselves are, and how victimized and helpless the people they’re coming to visit are, and everything that happens is always their fault. Look at Alan Johnston too, the BBC reporter. He almost practically sided with the kidnappers! And so many more.

It’s sad. I think there’s other mental issues than just being a pansy. From these kidnapees, it sounds more like self-loathing to me than actual fear. “We’re just automatically bad since our countries are literate and aren’t run by warlords. We did this to them.” Ignoring how many western teachers and aid agencies are probably over there right this second.

I always have problems with this question, because I feel there is some personal responsibility involved in this all. Were borrowers asking to be foreclosed on when they bought homes they couldn’t afford with teaser rates they expected to be able to cover by doing a cash out refi on their equity on their home that would never go down in value?

So the best answer I have is that when you do something that puts you at risk of having a crime committed against you it does not relieve the criminal of the burden of the crime any less heinous. However, people need to understand that when they play with fire there’s a chance they will get burned. Whether it’s right or wrong is an entirely different story.

It’s all about risk reward and I’m glad that at least the stock market is finally putting a more correct price on risk nowadays.

Damned if she dolls herself up so she doesn’t end up an old, lonely spinster who never put out, and damned if she gets raped because she dolled herself up because that’s just her own fault. She shouldn’t play with fire and men.

they rationalize this frighteningly monstrous id yearning with appeals to the manufactured moral ground of multicultural piety.”

This would also explain the strange contradictions of leftist political parties. As Milton Friedman said – in the long run it is mathematically impossible to have both mass immigration and a welfare state, you can have one or the other, yet leftist parties mysteriously support both. Women vote for parties that A. give them the option of marrying the taxpayer if they feel like giving birth but don’t have a husband, and B. import large numbers of people, mostly men, from the most neanderthal and useless cultures of the world. Sweden has advanced furthest in this direction, an advanced welfare state, an advanced number of migrants from the most terrible and crappy cultures and countries in the world, and it is a country run by women. America has faced the either-or and abandoned the welfare state. Sweden still has to face Friedman’s either-or.

What roissy said here might explain the contradiction at the heart of leftism. Women subconsiously like the neanderthal cultures of the world, how else to explain the strange appeal of mysogensity rappers to them? So they vote for parties that continue too import them.

  55. cuchulainn,

I think you hit on an interesting point, that behind the facade of multiculturalism and PC is a subconscious drive to get access to more attractive men. Notice how Asian men are not desired by women, and they are SCREWED OVER by affirmative action and generally dislike PC rhetoric.

Anyway, I heard a story that in Iraq, one woman died because she was so afraid of going to the bathroom at night and getting raped. She held it in and he bladder burst and she died. Pretty messed up shit.

It’s unfortunate that you have some countries where the woman gets raped and is lashed for it.

And other countries where making some lewd comments to a woman leads to a sexual harassment settlement.

    And:

Don’t watch too much TV or believe anything on it.
The people making the most off this phony war and phony administration – YOU WILL NEVER MEET – and it’s not the contractors.

It’s like the home mortage deduction – they throw scraps to most people and those people will fight for the scraps and think it’s great- but the people who REALLY benefit BY FAR off it are the people you’ll never meet. Lots of workers are getting the “bump” from the administrations fiascos for now. But one look at the real numbers and you know that we will be the ones paying the taxes for it all for the rest of our lives while they pay AT MOST 15% total taxes per dollar *and usually FAR less. They have more islands now than ever and you’re not invited (although you paid for it) Shove your Friedman and other economists.

  57. chuchulainn, I don’t buy it. Even as a fiscal conservative I find conspiratorial rationalizations for the schizophrenic left laughable. In my experience, conspiracy theories are often the purview of the lazy and uneducated. That being said, it is far more likely that the broad, impossible, and often misguided attempt at all inclusion, a common characteristic of the left, creates a platform which often contradicts itself on many issues.

It should be noted, that Friedman supported open immigration as long as you didn’t have a cumbersome welfare state system present. Friedman was particularly balanced about immigration. In his view immigration was beneficial (providing a large labor force) and detrimental (when that force placed strain on welfare states).

Miik: You are off the fucking reservation my friend. Are you aware that Friedman believed in removal of the income tax and replacing it with a consumption tax which he thought was actually fair.

And it cuts both ways. I’m all in favour of east european migration because there are lots of hot girls. Any man who tellls you he’s pro-immigration is thinking only of potential scorings with exotic chicks. I see no reason why women should be different on a fundamental level.

I’m not in favour of mass muslim immigration because it’s usually men, and the women they bring are off limits, so muslim immigration is a net loss to males in a society – more male competition with no corresponding increase in the number of available females. Oh yes, that and the fact that their retarded culture poses an existential threat to everything we built up over the last few thousand years.

  59. “behind the facade of multiculturalism and PC is a subconscious drive to get access to more attractive men.”

There may be some truth to this among young people (same with the Eastern European flips side of the equation). But what about adults who are older and married, such as most politicians, decision-makers, etc?

If their sexual subconsious influences their views on immigration, it surely is affected by their children’s, male and female, marriage prospects. No mom or dad wants hsi or her daughter to get “access to more attractive (third world) men,” I’m sure. On the other hand, having your son marry a nice Polish or Lithuanian girl… not a bad thing from most parent’s perspective.

The United States missed a tremendous opportunity during the ’90s. We could have closed all immigration and opened our doors to millions of newly-freed Eastern Europeans. Had we done this, America would now be looking forward to another 100 years of greatness.

I’m saying as an adult you’re responsible for your actions. If you’re a female and are aware of conditions and Iraq and choose to go there willingly you’re a somewhat responsible for putting yourself in danger. It makes it no less horrible a crime and does not reduce the responsibility of the committer of the act, it simply acknowledges that as an adult you have choices to make and you made one that put you in danger.

I doubt the boy had any idea he would be in that kind of situation. That’s why children are usually considered to be “innocent”. They’re not as aware as how the world works, so when something bad happens to them they receive the benefit of the doubt that no adult would get.

    Here is Theodore Dalrymple:
“..the Hong Kong Chinese were denied British citizenship at the time of the return of the colony to China. Britain viewed the skills, work habits, and capital of the Hong Kong Chinese as a menace rather than an opportunity of unparalleled proportions, the like of which will not soon present itself to any other nation.”

  72. Before you believe nullp0inter and DF that the smart-fraction theory is bunk, read this post by Randall Parker at Parapundit (as well as La Griffe Du Lion’s original paper on Smart Fraction Theory part 2). He puts forward some of the reasons why the smart fraction theory works:

“Benthamite Libertarian Collectivists Wrong On Open Borders”
    excerpt:

“1) Lower income people do not earn enough money to pay for the work of smart people for medical care for example or for teachers or detectives or prosecutors. Smarter people have to pay taxes to fund smart people to provide services and otherwise deal with the dummies. Those taxes immediately lower living standards and also lead to decreases in the specialization of labor.

    2) When the dummies flood in a larger number of existing smart people have to get shifted toward intellectually demanding occupations which provide services. Doctors are the primary example. Therefore fewer smart people are available to do engineering, scientific research, etc.

    3) Smarter people in their own lives – regardless of whether they work in jobs that serve the dummies – have to exert more effort (e.g. hours spent commuting, money spent on private schools and time spent taking the kids to those schools) dealing with the consequences of having so many dummies around.

    4) The lower cost of low IQ labor shifts smarter people toward managing that labor. People who spend time managing lots of cheap labor are people who are not spending time figuring out how to use capital to lower production costs.

    5) Capital that costs slightly more to do a job than cheap imported labor can fall in cost in successive design generations. The initial higher cost is a temporary thing. Forcing the market to innovate to reduce the need for labor will raise living standards in the longer term.”

  75. pjgoober, I never said the smart fraction theory is bunk, it lacks grounding in basic economic theory. He’s a statistician, not an economist. That much is obvious.

chuchulainn, pjgoober: not kinda, the answer is no. We didn’t import the ivy league. These institutions were founded to train the best and the brightest at home and the success of our economy and higher education system in the long run attracted the brightest from abroad. As recently as the 1940’s, the ivy league believed that it was entrusted with the “christianization” of its students but you won’t find any of that today. The composition of the average student body at Ivy league schools is drastically different from what it was 50, 100, or 150 years ago.

  76. DF,

As an economics student, I’m curious as to what is exactly wrong, economically, by saying that a larger percentage of smart people in an economy will raise the overall living standards.

    GDP= L^a * K^b * f

All smarter people is doing is increasing a, which would mean that the labor is becoming more effective. Read the Bell Curve if you don’t think IQ is relevant to economic outcomes.

Economists that ignore smart fraction theory have failed miserably.

  77. John, I don’t disagree that high IQ is correlated with wealthy nations -that is obvious. What none of you bother to ask is why? Do wealthy nations attract high IQ, low IQ, or both as a result of its investment in human capital and does that investment create IQ changes over time? Le Griffe’s focus is entirely on mitigation of any reduction in the mean IQ of a wealthy nation by limiting immigration from poor nations(inferred to have low IQ populations) but it all hinges on a powerful assumption, that IQ is stagnant of which there is no evidence.

The endogenous growth model was never meant to be applied in this fashion but even Neo-classical convergence is dependent on many factors, free market, institutions, and obviously education in country. You are over simplifying the model through an insistence that the only relevant variable is IQ and that is incorrect, which is why I disagree with thec o-option of the model to advance any arm chair economist’s agenda.

When I was an undergraduate, 1 in 10 students was an economics major at my school (an Ivy league institution) and I remember the majority of my industrial org class of twenty students didn’t know their way around a differential equation. It was surprising to me as a junior and this was a senior level seminar course I had received special approval to take. The rigor of most econ major’s programs left me under whelmed and I have even less confidence in laymen. That said, I like Le Griffe’s work,it is not to be ignored, but there are a lot of questions left unanswered.
