Has America Hit Peak Obesity Yet? (nope, still growing)

One immense and expanding frontline in the War of Beauty vs Ugliness is the obesity epidemic, which threatens to consume every last american in an orgy of consumption. From the CDC’s latest “Obesity and Overweight Report in the US”, via a Gaystream Media tentacle:

A troubling new report released Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that almost 40 percent of American adults and nearly 20 percent of adolescents are obese — the highest rates ever recorded for the U.S.

“It’s difficult to be optimistic at this point,” said Dr. Frank Hu, chair of the Department of Nutrition at the Harvard School of Public Health. “The trend of obesity has been steadily increasing in both children and adults despite many public health efforts to improve nutrition and physical activity.” […]

Overall, 70.7 percent of Americans are either overweight or obese, meaning that an unhealthy weight has become the norm, with normal weight Americans — a BMI of less than 25 — now in the minority.

The Eloi and the Morlocks. The elves and the orcs. The SWPLs and the rest.

Bad news, readers. Ugliness is winning. Beauty is in retreat.

In the US, squatemalan reconquista drives a lot of the growth in overweight and obese “Americans”, but if you consult the CDC source data you’ll discover that White women and even Waifu-Americans are getting fatter, too. No one race is untouched by the scourge of the calorie splurge.

Government intervention could help turn this around, but that would require rolling back significant sectors of modernity to a quasi-premodern stage. Is the Chamber of Commerce Party ready to accept punishing regulations on the sale of sugar, wheat, and soy, or anti-monopoly actions to rein in Big Agriculture? Is NIH or CDC ready to give full support to inverting the anti-fat, pro-carbface USDA food pyramid to one that is healthier for all Americans? What about the public? Are they ready for societal assaults on open borders to the Girth World and the en masse relocation of prime fertility women from home and hearth to the workforce?

All these trends have contributed to the obesity crisis. But instead we live in Round Clown World where fatties are accepted, normalized, and glorified, and men are shamed for their natural sexual desire to prefer slender babes. Instead of fixing the problem, we have committed ourselves to MAKING THE PROBLEM A THOUSAND TIMES WORSE.

“When in a hole, keep digging until you’ve carved out the beating heart of your nation and sacrificed it to a portly Aztec god”, should be the motto of the Freakqualist Left.

  1. of COURSE Americans are obese, what else is the government going to do except subsidize corn and soy so that the American farm production of excess calories is to the moon and back.

      —————————————-
It’s actually worse than this. Because overweight is defined as having a BMI of 25 or more. But BMI is simply WEIGHT related to height, not FAT related to height. A lot of people are weak, and the lack of muscle mass means their total weight is reduced so that they end up below 25 in BMI, even though they have a large amount of fat. They will still have all the problems that come with too much fat, and will still look overweight, even though their BMI is low.

That is why measuring your waist is the best fat indicator. You should aim for having a waistline that is half of your height, though that is hard to achieve even for people who are healthy. They’ll usually end up a bit above that waistline – still, that gives you an idea of approximately how wide your waist should be. At least get your waist down below 39 inches (100 cm).

Portion control is a non-issue. If you eat human food it is impossible to overeat.

Overeating is in great part the body’s response to malnutrition. The food that obese people eat is not only insulin-spiking, it is without nutritioonal value.

As well, although women are (as we all know) natural herd animals, some women are AMBITIOUS, and their ambition to get the best male will drive them to catapult over their more sedentary herd sisters. Gigantic wave pools and water slides overrun with feral vibrants, wretchedly obese people everywhere with way too much exposed flesh, unsightly moles, back hair. Obese teenage girls tatted up everywhere and scarfing the equivalent of 48 hours of calories at the snack bars.

Filthy pools, floating bandaids… the smells and sights and sounds were a vicious assault on the senses. The last straw was the morbidly obese couple lugging their fat baby around with s**t streaming out of its diaper onto the wet concrete.

I have a p/t job. I can take my kidz with to and fro. In between, I do a lot of jobs. Gardenwork, laundry, food prep and preservation. It takes time.

Many a mom of my acquaintance feelz zo guut that she can heat up a Mrs. Paul’s Lasagna and serve it with a side salad of bagged lettuce and bottled dressing. Feeding the chirrenz! Success!

No. Sorry, I’m a Home food snob. Paleo is a fine start but not The Whole answer. We eat wheat and bread and pasta here and no one is dropping dead of diabetes. We eat butter and bacon, too, and no one has heart disease. And none of us is obese. But we also work our modest acre to procure food. Hunt and process game, dry jerky and veggies and fruits, and I am just now ending the long canning season.

It. Is. Hard. Work. It keeps us fed, yet fit and lean. Funny how that works.

Or of turning her head due to her seventeen chins. And this was someone who is supposed to be helping people become healthy.

When she first entered the room, I thought that I was hallucinating a tent blowing in the door. (Not really, but she was monstrously obese. Horrifyingly so, even).

    • yeah, it’s always amazed me how unhealthy medical workers are nowadays.

it pisses me off sometimes how pretentious they are too. they talk down to anyone who isn’t in the medical field and expect us to idolize them. but most of them are just glorified drug pushers who eat no better than anyone else.

all they do is follow the orders they get from superiors and make decisions based on the crap they were fed in school. most of which is propaganda designed to keep people sick instead of healthy.

nurses are the worst. despite all the bitching and moaning they do about it, nursing school isn’t actually hard. and they are basically just waitresses who can give you drugs once they start working. plenty of people work harder than them without expecting so much adoration and sympathy.

but every nurse i know acts like she’s a braniac who should be treated like a saint. that’s all thanks to other women pumping up their egos and schools dumbing down their curriculum so everyone can pass. used to have to at least be somewhat smart to get through nursing school. now any loser can do it. ever notice how many ex sloot party girls are nurses now? that’s saying something.

and have you seen what they feed people in hospitals? very little or no protein at all, juice at every meal, applesauce, pudding, etc. then they pump everyone full of drugs. i actually don’t know how nurses can live with themselves doing that every day.

even if they tell themselves otherwise, they aren’t actually making lives better for people. maybe more comfortable for the moment. but in the long run they are pushing their patients closer to death and/or dependency on medication and hospitals for the rest of their lives.

Something like 1/3 Nurses have had an affair with a patient. Sure that’s only one patient (at a minimum) over at least a decade but when you factor in opportunity, attractiveness, disease, injury, simple ability of people to have affairs when sick in a hospital or how many of their patients are old or near death.

And factor in the Nurses own age, appearance etc…..1/3 essentially becomes….How Many Nurses have affairs? As many that actually have the opportunity.

Interestingly enough, think the stats are similar for Nuns that have affairs or sex post becoming a Nun.

And they were downing pitcher after pitcher of margaritas, while my boss and I looked on with shock. So we got back and as was hauling trash out, I saw one of the students WALKING BACK TO CLASS. You could tell she was a bit tipsy. And as we crossed looks, she made this sad puppy face, as,of pleading me not to tell anyone else about her drunken lunch. Yeah, I’m not getting near those women, especially if they’re handling vaccines. I’d rather self medicate.

The whole phenomenon of “eating 3000 calories and still being hungry” is due to carb abuse. No one can eat 3000 calories of meat and vegetables and still be hungry.

Carbs spike blood sugar which makes you feel satiated, then the insulin production goes through the roof to bring it back down. Insulin converts the excess sugar straight into fat, and then your blood sugar craters.

And poof, you’re starving despite putting on a lot of fat.

Think about this: Ancient humans used to eat acorns — ACORNS — as a “sweet treat”. In Paleo times, a f*cking acorn was like a candy bar. Humans aren’t adapted to high-fructose garbage.

VagDom. Same here. Debilitating back pain for several years due to a slipped disc. Annual shots of corticosteroid. Docs said nothing I could do but surgery. Went strict paleo after reading that high carbs also cause serious inflammation around problem areas – old injuries and such. Within two weeks, no pain and pain free for the past 3 years.

I’ve read other accounts of people with serious type 2 diabetes that have completely *reversed* the diabetes (as in no more diabetes… at all) after going strict paleo. I believe it entirely. Of course the docs and big pharma will never tell you this. There’s no money in counseling patients to just eat right.

That, regular weight training 2 to 3 times a week and intense short bursts of all out cardio a couple times a week – no more than ten minutes and as little as 5 of all out effort (100 burpees or a one mile sprint) – will keep you in peak fitness deep into old age.

Solid advice on leg strength. Same theory discussed in detail in the book Younger Next Year: The elderly often slide towards death not after an illness, but after something simple like tripping and falling. They break a hip or pelvis and then a few years later it’s lights out. Keeping the legs strong retains muscle memory and bone density well into old age so you avoid the trips and falls.

The book does a great job explaining in layman’s terms what exercise and diet do on a cellular level to prevent aging.

I was at one of those outside circuits over the summer — the one’s with the pull up bars, sit up benches, etc. — and watched in awe as this old geezer jumped up and knocked out a dozen full pull ups. We got to talking… He’d just turned 85.

When Heartiste sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems with relationships, and they’re making us talk about those problems with them. They’re bringing retarded memes. They’re bringing anti-vaxxers. They’re redpillers. And some, I assume, are good posters.

You know, and it amazes me. It does, actually. It amazes me how simple some problems are. ‘Oh, it’s so complicated, we need more nuance’ or, you know, now that they’re here we have to convince them to join a church. No. It’s very, very simple. You redirect the traffic. You send them to HGTV.com, they can learn to garden or something. I have many friends who took up gardening. You know, I think it builds character, but physically, they’re filthy. It’s disgusting.

We know that Pleasureman won’t do any of these things I’m talking about. Pleasureman, who said, ‘CH can be insightful.’ Insightful! And we’re getting killed by their shitposters. By the way, the WORST forum admin of all time.

*head bobbles manically for several moments*

And look, people say to me, oh, how can you say that, you just upvoted his effortpost on scale two days ago! I upvote everybody. That’s the system. That’s why I can private message PMAN right now and ask for the emoticon list. But it shouldn’t be that way. No one should know what the emoticons are. And no one will know under a JAMMER administration. Make MPC great again. Thank you.

  20. There you have it Harvard school of public health blaming a lack of exercise. Lying sacks of s**t. You can’t outrun processed carbs. Weight is all diet. Exercise just throws some tone on. Was living in VT when my kid was young and the state sent a nutritionist around to library story times to teach kids about healthy eating. The nutritionist must have been 300lb, not just a big woman an unusual to spot in the wild sized woman. Dealing with kids she had to address it and claimed she ate too much of the right kind of foods. No way, if you are eating the right foods you would be satiated long before you became massively obese. Bonus rant: those bags of cookies run through blenders with a wee bit of coffee sprinkled in that women drink constantly. While telling themselves coffee has no calories, not your coffee muffintops. S**t processed food is the cause of obesity and a lot of our betters wringing their hands about the obesity epidemic know it. Noblesse malice indeed.

    • Exactly. Ironically more people at the gym than ever but they won’t rein in the diet.

Everyone was thin in the 70s and hardly worked out. Just went dancing one or two nights a week and didn’t eat like garbage.

    • very true

people way overemphasize the need for exercise. great to do for extra energy or to get super fit but not necessary at all for most people if all they want is to stay thin and healthy.

in the past people would get short bursts of activity here and there but they weren’t all working out for hours every week to stay thin. women for sure weren’t. and they also weren’t doing squats like people claim every girl needs to do. women kept their figures just fine by eating properly.

look back at photos from as recent as 50 or 100 years ago. most people weren’t working in physically strenuous jobs or working out but they still looked great.

      • Point is, they were working… moving around for just about the full 8 hours… and not a lot of spare money for “treats” unless they were homemade.

And the younger women had it ingrained in they haids that Job #1 was finding a man who would marry them.

      • true. most people were moving more than we are now.

but a lot of people were still not very physically active and stayed healthy and slender.

my dad for example was an accountant sitting at a desk all day. the only exercise he got was mowing the lawn once a week in the summer and cleaning out the gutters a couple times each winter. he didn’t build anything or work on cars. most of his friends were the same. none of them were working out on the farm or in coal mines.

mom took care of kids and kept the house up but once we were in school, her days were very light on activity while she worked as a receptionist during the day.

they didn’t have treats like you say. they also didn’t snack between meals or eat huge amounts of carbs, fruits, and veggies every day. fruits were considered dessert, not something you ate every day, let alone multiple times a day. and veggies were a side dish that you had with the main dish of meat. usually red meat. not giant salads or chicken or fish that fills you up for ten minutes then you’re hungry for more food again in half an hour.

if you can’t stay full for four to six hours at a time or more, you’re not eating the right foods. people used to be able to eat three meals a day with no snacks and do just fine. now they feel like they are starving all the time because the food they eat isn’t giving their body what it needs

      • The Wehrmacht fought a war on coffee and rye bread..as did most armies on maybe one meal a day.
I think people eat and snack when they get bored.
Plus food today like sex has become a self indulgent fetish.
And restaurant food is mostly cooked in really bad fats.

I agree with the report. I see very few desirable women in my daily rounds but the BMI index is b.s..as it only correlates with height.
Anyone who has heavy bones or has muscle or is built like a tank is overweight if you are not over 6 foot tall.

  23. A lot of people view “cooking” as this all time consuming process. Simply not the case at all. Lean cuts of chicken, beef, fish are all easy to prepare and cook with minimal time and effort. Bake or saute some veggies and you are all set. Check out the spices/rubs at Williams Sonoma. The potlatch and sweet heat rubs are excellent and the potlatch makes swordfish and salmon taste like a five star meal. Trader Joes has cheap frozen swordfish filets that are high quality.

Breakfast: 3 scrambled eggs with pico salsa, and a banana with coffee

Lunch: Either egg salad or tuna salad sandwich with a V8

Dinner: Steam some broccoli, and have a roast that was in the crock pot all day with a mashed potato. Season to taste.

Then a nightcap, usually Beefeater/soda on the rocks.

[CH: this is similar to my usual fare, except i have whiskey in the evening.]

Still plenty of energy to work out at least three times a week. I have a home gym set up that rivals most hotels and physical therapist offices, thanks to craigslist and a bit of elbow grease..

On non-workout days, I invariably have all sorts of chores or projects that take up at least four hours each day.

I’ll have a bourbon maybe four nights of the week.

Eat less, move more… it’s that simple.

This is only going to get worse. Selection pressure has been strongly against intelligence and its corrolary impulse control for at least the last 100 years. Plus we have been importing huge numbers of high-time-preference third-world peasants.

You can’t really think that this will go on another ten years.

Do you really think that EBT will buy anything in 2030, or even 2025, or even earlier? You know Detroit and Chicago have *billions* in unpaid invoices due last month. Puerto Rico owes US $79,000,000,000,000 (some at 16%) with a total workforce of around 1 million. Is that going to be paid?

Not with money that is worth anything.

And do you think there will be pensions that can buy anything? Teamsters pensions are now being cut 20%. Today.

Man, there is going to be an apocalyptic die-off. As sure as maths and physics.

  28. The problem with America is we have abandoned shame in all its forms. Shame was the tool society used to keep its members in line. Now that he have abandoned shame as a tool for promoting social harmony we see just how ugly the human being can become, even one of heritage American stock.

Shame kept men from being cowards, it kept women from being whores, and broadly speaking, kept everyone in society from becoming financial burdens via health (obesity in this context), crime, and degeneracy.

To combat this I am now merciless and unrepentant in my scathing judgement. I
have 0 tolerance for obesity and have no qualms about shaming, humiliating, and outright insulting obesity because it is counter to a productive, stable society. And men, those hot young things you want love it. I have yet to meet a hot woman who didn’t nod in agreement when I made a scathing rebuke of obesity.

The short of it, I’m bringing shame and disgust back into the mainstream whether people around me like it or not. And if enough men and women do the same you can begin to fix this monstrosity America has become.

Beauty, in all its forms, takes effort, commitment, and determination otherwise a return to ugliness, the natural state of the world, is inevitable.

  29. Easiest way to eat less calories is to just do intermittent fasting every day. Fast for 16 hours a day (inc. sleep), and fit all your eating into an 8-hour window.

Most people find IF very effective. One you make it past the first couple days, daytime hunger is gone and energy goes up. (For most people. YMMV).

      • thats one possibility, although most people generally go with an afternoon-evening eating window because IF paradoxically gives good physical and mentally energy levels.

  30. CH,

I was just watching an old What’s My Line, a show where famous media personalities tried to guess what line of work the contestant is. (Aside: these were usually average ordinary Americans who the elites today would have absolutely no part of, but back then times were quite different.)

On the episode in question, the contestant’s line is “Packaging Reducing Pills” i.e. diet pills. She is also quite a bit of a porker, especially for 1956, when the episode was filmed. The link should start at the appropriate time:

Jerry Lewis is a guest panelist on the show jumps in and guesses that she makes diet pills, which is the correct answer. Then he says, “Doesn’t she take them at any time?” This draws a huge amount of laughter from everyone and the contestant gets pretty red-faced. The host then says that she has already lost 40 lbs and is looking to lose another 55. To which Lewis says if she gains 55 lbs instead of losing them she could start as a lineman for the LA Rams . Again to uproarious laughter.

Oh for an America that still fat shamed.

Granted the best test would be to parade the fatties in front of 4 year olds and ask the kids if the person is fat. If a four year old says you are fat, you are fat. Four year olds don’t need charts to see and speak the truth.
