The Real Possibility Of False Flags

False flags — a deceptive covert operation which frames a person or group as responsible for the event (usually criminal) while disguising the real source — aren’t figments alighting from the realm of tinfoil hat conspiracy theorizing. It isn’t crazy to speculate that a crime may be a false flag if there are unusual circumstances surrounding it. It’s natural and normal to question authority, particularly when that authority has been on a tear discrediting itself.

Naturally, an addiction to baseless speculation can lead to seeing conspiracies where there are none. But that doesn’t mean the opposite — a healthy regard for circumstantial and oddly incongruent evidence that raises questions about the source of an activity, especially an event that seems planned and timed to generate maximum media coverage to the advantage of one group over another — is ipso facto an exercise in self-deluding futility.

For instance, if you think false flags are impossible, remember that they have happened, and closer to home false flags have been planned by American Deep State operatives. From Sailer commenter Tim Howells, an excerpt from the Operation Northwoods documents:

For anyone who considers the idea of false-flags or covert government manipulation absurd in this context , please consider the Northwoods Operations proposed by the Joint Chiefs in 1963 to justify an invasion of Cuba to get rid of Castro. I guarantee that the current heirs of these guys have much greater capabilities than they did, and are much more concerned about Trump than they were about Castro. Some excerpts (emphasis mine) Note that having lots of alternatively real or phony casualties is not considered a problem:

***

2. A series of well coordinated incidents will be planned to take place in and around Guantanamo to give genuine appearance of being done by hostile Cuban forces.

a. Incidents to establish a credible attack (not in chronological order):

(2) Land friendly Cubans in uniform “over-the-fence” to stage attack on base.
(3) Capture Cuban (friendly) saboteurs inside the base.
(4) Start riots near the base main gate (friendly Cubans).
(5) Blow up ammunition inside the base; start fires.
(6) Burn aircraft on air base (sabotage).
(7) Lob mortar shells from outside of base into base. Some damage to installations.
(8) capture assault teams approaching from the sea or vicinity of Guantanamo City.
(9) Capture militia group which storms the base.
(10) Sabotage ship in harbor; large fires — napthalene.
(11) Sink ship near harbor entrance. Conduct funerals for mock-victims (may be lieu of (10)).

a. We could blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba.

b. We could blow up a drone (unmanned) vessel anywhere in the Cuban waters. We could arrange to cause such incident in the vicinity of Havana or Santiago as a spectacular result of Cuban attack from the air or sea, or both. The presence of Cuban planes or ships merely investigating the intent of the vessel could be fairly compelling evidence that the ship was taken under attack. The nearness to Havana or Santiago would add credibility especially to those people that might have heard the blast or have seen the fire. The US could follow up with an air/sea rescue operation covered by US fighters to “evacuate” remaining members of the non-existent crew. Casualty lists in US newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation.

4. We could develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington. The terror campaign could be pointed at refugees seeking haven in the United States. We could sink a boatload of Cubans enroute to Florida (real or simulated). We could foster attempts on lives of Cuban refugees in the United States even to the extent of wounding in instances to be widely publicized.Exploding a few plastic bombs in carefully chosen spots, the arrest of Cuban agents and the release of prepared documents substantiating Cuban involvement, also would be helpful in projecting the idea of an irresponsible government.

It’s a good thing that Americans are becoming less trusting of our ruling scumlords, because our ruling scumlords have done quite a lot to make themselves less trustworthy over the past few decades. Elite overthrow begins with loss of faith in the invulnerability and rectitude of the elite.

Segueing to recent unpleasantness, both the Parkland and Pittsburgh shootings have very strange coincidences surrounding them, the strangest being that both locations had relatively recently hosted near them active shooter drills by the FBI:

This definitely falls under “things that make you go hmmm”.

It’s all probably a coincidence…

or maybe, just maybe, it’s not.

False flags are rare, and inconceivable to normies weaned on esteeming revered American institutions. But their rarity and inconceivability aren’t proof positive that false flags are outside reality. They are real, and they could happen. They have happened. And they are more likely to happen now with the eager cooperation of a captured media. If we have stumbled into a false flag, then America ought to buckle up, because this ride is about to fly off the rails.

PS How suspicious am I? Let’s say that if there was an FBI active shooter drill near me, I’d avoid public venues for a while.

PPS Another inconvenient incongruence that raises red flags of false flags:

PPPS Putting the pieces together, my working theory is that the DemoMediaDeepState Party is VERY nervous about not taking the House from Republicans in two weeks and snuffing out the myriad investigations into the unraveling coup against President Trump now gaining steam under Republican oversight.

So nervous they are for their continued freedom, in fact, that some of them, along with willing operatives up and down the chain of command, might be willing to take some very drastic measures to ensure Democrats take the House.

That’s what I was thinking about last week, that who knows what these freaks are capable of to keep them from losing.

I’m expecting some serious shit happening on election night. Media will spin this just right. That’s when Civil War 2 will officially kickoff, as it were, despite having been in motion for some time.

      I certainly hope not, however.

The US government would like you to believe that this building is collapsing into its own basement, at freefall speed, as the result of a small fire.

Nothing unusual about that, apparently. Happens every day, just like the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. It’s a characteristic feature of Pearl Harbor Attacks (and Reichstag Fires), that they always occur at the most opportune time. As somebody says downthread, Remember the Maine.

    • The problem with reflexively dismissing “conspiracy theories” is that it creates a cover for elites who are trying to evade scrutiny. On the other hand, when conspiratorialists fall for every damn story that comes down the pike, it makes it easier for the enemy to dismiss us whole cloth. And then when an actual crime comes up, we have lost our credibility to accuse. The Clintons figured this out with their “vast right wing conspiracy” charge, and there is some evidence that, for instance, David Brock initiated Pizzagate to discredit the right as a whole when the more gullible among us took the bait.

If nine out of ten kooky theories are laughed off as implausible (regardless of the truth of those theories), that gives the elites a free hand to perpetrate the most outrageous acts — the more spectacular the better — knowing that any scrutiny will be waved off simply by association with the people “who thought Obama was born in Kenya.”

My policy therefore is guilty until proven innocent, if only to deprive the usual “What difference, at this point, does it make?” excuses for incompetence and bad behavior. Delay delay delay, push past a few news cycles by associating scrutiny with insane speculation, and finally shift to, “That’s all been litigated before, and now we should Move On[dot org] for the good of the country.”

The solution is the golden mean between Eliot and Danger, which is to consider every last ridiculous idea as potentially true — guilty until proven innocent — but then insist on corroboration (a la the false Kavanaugh accusations) before repeating/spreading it. Steel man arguments, the possibility of falsification, and detecting confirmation bias in oneself are all tools that help along the way.

In the end you should be skeptical in this age of disinformation overload, and your bullshit detector should be honed as finely as possible to detect truth beneath the digital tsunami.

      • David Brock invented nothing. Pizzagate was the result of a treasure trove of emails discussing child trafficking leaked to Wikileaks. That is known as original source documents, which is the highest form of evidence. David Brock initiated the follow on Pizzagate confusion to cover for them. Alifantis had the Rothschilds behind him. Weird shit was going on there and probably still is. That guy with the AR who shot the place up with two shots took out the server they were using to communicate to outside parties that were in on the game.

And here even you, Matt, fall into binary thinking.

You yourself admit that wild conspiracy theories are cooked up to make the alt-R look like gullible fools and/or to provide cover for when actual crimes are committed, because by then the Boys Who Cried Wolf have worn out the patience of rational folk.

This is EXACTLY what I’ve been saying for years… (look up the threads, if anyone doubts me)… and every time I question a video or an article and find the holes and ask further questions (which never get addressed), I’m merely dismissed as running cover for whatever Derp State personages are the topic of the day.

Be fair, man… I seldom, if ever, “reflexively” dismissed any CT except continuations on those which I had earlier done at least SOME fact checking and asked further questions about.

I expected a more rigorous reading comprehension from you, of all people.

That’s noble in a purely philo sophos way, and I’m sure you’d drink the hemlock right next to Socrates, but it creates its own set of political problems in a republic based on discourse where noble lies and demagogy are necessary to consider.

The discussion of conspiracies is the construction of a proto-narrative to combat the official one which tyrannizes us. It is not a science, it is an art, and many people find their morale in vivid, exaggerated expressions of the creed that binds us. They are lies like photoshopped memes are lies, like airbrushed actresses are lies, like epic hagiographies are lies. And, yes, they can shade into counterproductive fantasies that lose the main plot. Hence my admonition against indulging too much in fictionalized history the same way I admonish you for listing too far into the cynicism that results from seeing the truth stymied — as it must be on this broken plane until Christ returns in glory.

The golden mean is that place where you don’t take a man’s idiosyncratic expression of MAGA personally, regardless of its perceived inaccuracies, but rather focus on what truth you share and allow it to be the basis of your bond.

Way way way out on a limb here but bear with me. An ex-mil colleague of mine from back in the day and I were speaking one time and he told about me some of the corp. work within the “industry” that he’d been doing on a contract basis.

He indicated that it was common knowledge within said industry that for a decade even before the wall came down the strategic political/economic influencing and misinformation clusters had long since pulled away from and blown away every other segment in terms of effectiveness. It was also acknowledged that – just like Hollywood during the cold war – you wouldn’t be able to tell which well-known household names was actually an operative or not, nor who was who. I.E the sophistication had risen to the level that highly skilled information/misinformation people weren’t embedded at the very highest levels of the MSM in numerous countries (this rings absolutely true for me especially when you see the speed and unanimity when a particular message needs to be put out).

I used to be more skeptical. I used to take things with a grain of salt. I don’t anymore. What I heard from my colleague, what I hear from my friends, and what I see around me suggest that if it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it’s a duck….not some stupid Journolist hive-mind coordination. Journolist was the tip of the iceberg, and now the tip has vanished further below the waves like a typhoon submarine.

I put nothing past these people anymore. I believe they are absolutely capable of anything that keeps their globalist-liberal order spinning towards its obvious conclusion. Worse, if they continue to get dealt defeats at the ballot box, their lack of compunction will increase, not decrease.

As of now I regard the MSM as an unelected and unaccountable 5th column of American and world political culture. A 5th column that is long overdue for dealing with.

    Act accordingly.

I saw what you mentioned first hand while in the Army and used to say all of the terrorism in the 70s and 80s was Stasi sponsored. None of the Germans I knew believed me then but later admitted I had been right once the wall fell and the extent of the Stasi spying and operations became known. I learned from relatives who lived in East Germany how they operated within their own societies and I have observed the same sorts of tactics being used today in the US. Once you see that its a short leap to seeing that it is employed often and to nefarious ends.

There are small false flags ALL THE TIME. It shouldn’t take some insider military/intelligence knowledge to convince you.

Look at how many times we’ve heard of the black guy who paints “KKK” on his garage. Or the jew who does the same with swastikas. Get the college president to dance to your tune. Get yourself some attention and sympathy.

False flags are as common and obvious as “ow, mom, he hit me”.

  7. If this is all to try to win an election, wouldn’t it be easier to just manipulate the election results through technological means? If the Cabal structure exists to the extent necessary to pull off these events, it seems rigging an election would be child’s play, and there would be no need for these casualty events. Unless there is another purpose for all this beyond just an election.

    • In the last year or so, every time there is an event, the big tech giants ( Google, Facebook, Twitter etc ) use the occasion to silence or ban anything that is right wing.

After yesterday’s shooting at the Synagogue they closed GAB ( well that is what I heard ) ….because they say it is right wing and there are lots of anti semite comments there.

A couple months ago they deplatformed Alex Jones

months before that they did some changes and Gateway Pundit lost about half of its followers on facebook

until a few years ago the main stream media ( the propaganda arm of the democrat/deep state) controlled information, but not anymore.

They now realize that the internet is used by us right wing people to get to the information the MSM is hiding from us

so they had to find a way to stop us.

False flags have to benefit someone, they dont just do them for the thrill of doing something evil.

for each one of those false flag event ( or it can be a real event, either way they use them they use them to silence us ) they silence a bit more of the us on the internet.

For each dramatic event the media declares that this was because of this right wing site or that right wing site…then in most cases changes are made, right wingers are silenced a bit more.

Someone more gifted with writing could explain this in less words than I did ( and I will say this again; my first language is French, not English )

      [CH: you explained it well.]

      • Exactly. When I heard about the shooting, I knew how the media script would play out. I’m just weary facing The Tragedy Cycle once again. Even if it isn’t a false flag, the rank opportunism of the left to “not let a crisis go to waste” has deadened, or made me cynical about, whatever human compassion I might have mustered for the innocent.

This weariness is mistaken for an inhuman indifference or dispassion in reaction to evil events, by both us and the enemy. When I hear some virtue-signaling ignoramus pivot from righteous sympathy to self-righteous condemnation of antisemitism, I’m like, STFU already.

At the same time, on our side we overinterpret that weariness into a cold disregard for the victims, which isn’t as bad as the left erring on the side of self-serious, maudlin solemnity, but it is erroneous in its own way nonetheless. “Every man’s death diminishes me” is an absolutely true statement: “Therefore, send not to know / For whom the bell tolls, / It tolls for thee.” You are dangerous and stupid and an enemy to the cause if you can’t parse this stuff out. The inability to parse is what deludes fools like Bowers into thinking he is helping us by shooting defenseless elderly women in the head.

In other words, we don’t have to be indifferent to true human loss in order to know the game (((they))) are running on us. Personal sympathy and cultural agendas are nearly unrelated issues, and the confusion of the two is systematically exploited by the left. We just have to be more precise about the propriety of our emotions and the intentions of the people who would manipulate us thereby. The left blurs the lines for their own advantage. Our job is to bring them back into focus, as Trump does.

      • The reality is that the indifference is an effect of the real possibility of “false flag.” Of course, the possibility of “false flag” is only probable in the minds of a small minority. So the indifference is acute and not general, but nontheless, critical to the time.

I sought out an ‘expert’ who had national experience providing security/personal protection services to high profile folks within the Christian (Sometimes Churchian) publishing & entertainment community. This person was helpful in many respects, but two things stood out as odd to me. 1. He said the local SWAT teams are always looking to train in real community locations, and it could be a benefit to let them do so at our church. Then they’d be familiar with the layout in case a situation ever did arise. On the surface it sounded reasonable, but something about it didn’t sit right with me.2. he was totally against congregants practicing concealed carry, and when I called him on it, he said it’s better to just call law enforcement. Fortunately, I wasn’t the only one in the presentation not buying that nonsense.

So keep snarking about all the things that pain you, and we’ll MEGA on your behalf right after we MAGA, with or without your trembling and whining and fourth-hand twatter commentary the whole time.

  12. First the deep state funded the migrant caravan as a mid-term election gambit, i.e. look evil Trump hates innocent people running from oppression

That narrative fell to tatters pretty quickly, firstly the migrants could have applied for asylum at the US embassy in Honduras, or if they had left the country, international law says they have to stop at the first country they arrive in, which would be Guatemala. Not to mention the video of migrants queuing to receive money, nor the fact the migrants were able to hike 900 miles in 9 days.

Then they cooked up a bomb plot, and that narrative fell to pieces, because the suspect packages consisted of cardboard tubes with clocks on, and CDs. Further the so called Trump supporter who masterminded the scheme, turned out to be a democrat voter and who only followed lefties on Twitter.

And now we have a shooting at a synagogue, and the narrative that Trump is evil because he supports the second amendment and therefore the killing of innocents.

    It’s bullshit.

p.s. Is there anything on Wikileaks showing communications between the Democrats, FBI, and journalists, whilst all this has been going on?

  13. Competely off topic. Right after last night’s World Series game ended, for a few moments, Fox broadcast a shot from inside a Boston sport’s bar. Someone in the bar was holding up and shaking white foam fingers displaying the “OK” symbol (ie The White Power symbol). The fingers were only on screen for a few moments. Did anyone else notice this?

What bothers me is that even though normies may not change their vote, these two (I’m counting on one or two or ten more strange events over the next eight days) events give cover to some massive voter fraud operation that will now have plausible cover.

You don’t know what people really think in private about events and happenings.

Bowers might well have 100,000s of people who agree with him here n there. Tommy Mair assassinating Jo Cox affected Brexit not a bit. Might have helped the UKIP. Who knows.

You’re right, we “don’t know what people really think in private about events and happenings.”

But it is becoming clear that middle America has had an assful of soymale J-school grads and dopey Obama-era apparatchiks stumbling all over themselves in the attempt to “never let a crisis go to waste.” They have nothing but contempt for the normie’s sense of human decency, and they cynically attempt to exploit it in ways so obvious that even the dullest heartlander of good will raises an eyebrow at the start of the swindle.

We have been conned enough times to know when they’re revving up the Outrage Cycle once more, and it has stopped working. The Ford fizzle during l’affaire Kavanaugh was their final stand. It even temporarily uncuckened a faggot like Lindsey Graham.

Part of the paranoid mental state of the diaspora is that every white man is a potential Hitler, Goebbels, Heydrich, Shirach, Streicher…when we know it just isn’t so.

But most white men can rapidly find a few things to agree with among that list once they settle in a watch a documentary about the happenings of the 20th century. The Cucky Evangelical or Leftie Soy Boy isn’t that far removed from being a war machine directed at the Diaspora. It’s just a slight shift in perception…and the press knows it. The banks and political establishment know it.

Even though they were bitter political rivals, they considered ambitious megalomaniacs like Aaron Burr to be the greatest danger to the Republic. They assumed that Aaron Burr was capable of engaging in a conspiracy to subvert the Republic, and so should we assume that our Aaron Burrs are willing and able to do the same today.

  22. I agree with most of the article. However, it is an error to assume that false flags are necessarily created by governments.
One of the things proven by the fake bombing (assuming it is what the govt. tells us it is) is that a single individual can do a lot of mayhem.
    This includes material objects.
Think blowing up electric power “poles” and freezing out e.g. Chicago in January. You’d get real casualties, people dying from exposure. Or in Central Califonia/Nevada in July Heat stroke is real. (Sunstoke is not.) Human body temperture has to be kept within plus/minus much less than a percent or the person will be, at a minimum, hors de combat.

Somewhat OT, the next big item that Trump MUST tackle is voter fraud.
Estimates go from about 10 to about 30 million illegal aliens in the US.
If even 10% vote, that is enough to steal an election. And, actually, the voting person does not need to exist. Equal rights for dead people, and phantasmagorical ones. But absentee voting works best for those, it is just a nuisance to get ghosts to polling stations.

I won’t put a Trump sticker on my vehicle for that reason. I have to be content with an American flag sticker. The flag is becoming a dog whistle in blue areas where people dare not demonstrate support for Trump for fear of property damage. Look for it…

I can’t think of one arrested Muslim terrorist who was not in communication with an FBI plant who goaded them into action. As with the pam geller incident, an FBI agent is often on the scene and involved in the actual planning of the attack.

The Filipino in Florida will undoubtedly be tied to an FBI informant, if not more than one.

  30. Interesting thing about the white van was how orderly most of ‘stickers’ seem to be in the windows. If you look, in most of the windows, it doesn’t look like a jumble of individual stickers, it looks like a pre-printed adhesive sheet with straight cut edges. Probably be pretty easy to apply those sheets quickly.

All that said, the real question is, who, if anyone, put him up to it? The FBI has _extensive_ recent history of providing inert devices to the hadjiis and others and then locking them up.

  31. Fake Until Proven Otherwise « The Thinking Housewife

IN the aftermath of real shootings, everything is done to save lives. Contained havoc prevails as victims are frantically treated and rushed to hospitals. Gore is visible and messy; rescuers are in too much of a rush to hide it. Trauma centers can sometimes save even those who have been shot in the head. Rarely is a victim conclusively declared dead at the scene and then left without being taken to the nearest trauma center. And if such poor treatment occurred, lawsuits would result.

In our day of pervasive cellphones, dozens of images of vivid carnage and its repulsive chaos would quickly emerge after a real mass shooting. In fake shootings, you see no evidence of this frantic rescue effort and no convincing gore. Instead, you see lots of police standing around or rushing into buildings (with a cameraman coincidentally nearby) as if they are on the set of a TV drama. These images are quickly replaced by those of official press conferences and people with red eyes and candles. As a former newspaper reporter, I can tell you that this is not how things work at real crime scenes where everything is done to save lives and detectives truly study the evidence, without rushing to declare instantly who the perpetrator is.

The default position for all synagogue or school shootings should be that they are staged political events until proven otherwise. ..

    Television news hypnotizes.

Some people get extremely angry when presented with this fact because they believe they are actually living a staged event. They would rather be deceived than admit to being deceived. They are like animals in a lab who have so often been artificially stimulated into a state of extreme alertness and panic that they cannot abide calm and a sense of control anymore. They are habituated to alarm.
