If anything would be responsible for causing this to happen it would be the inability of the left to see the damage and destruction it is causing until it is far too late.

Women, children, and liberals are incapable of running shit, and today the only ones that haven’t been allowed to call the shots are the youngin’s.

I’m not quite as worried as you are about the western world devolving into a barbaric free for all, but we are definitely headed toward change. I am preparing for my exit in the next 5-7 years regardless. The days of American glory are behind us.

What would it take if just the trucks and trains stopped running?

About 2 days for the grocery store shelves to empty and last I checked weren’t to many self suficient people in states making/growing there own food or used to doing shit on their own. If shit really broke down would spiral down at an amazing rate of speed. How much time till mass canablizm prob not long. Think about no storage at stores anymore. Where would the food come from if the supply wasn’t coming?

No gas going to gas stations people would be walking pretty fast as nobody really has a tank other than their car. People grocery shop pretty consistantly so yea not gonna have mad shit in freezer unless they were the first one to empty grocery shelves. Then what.

    1. A huge and sudden culture shift back to something resembling the late 40’s and 50’s. If young people reject this amoral, Godless culture given to them by the babyboomers we just might have a chance.

    2. A shooting revolution. Much blood will need to be spilled to cleanse this nation and save it. Make sure you have enough ammo. The hangmen, firing squads, and grave details will need to run 24/7 for months on end.

It’s pretty simple, really – America got fat on the spoils of the Second World War, and while the men and women who actually fought the war and made the weaponry (respectively) rode off into the sunset in the 50’s, in the vain hope of raising a generation that wouldn’t have to go to war, they allowed their children to never grow up.

Said children then populated the schools, universities, political institutions, fiat banks, etc etc. Now the boomers have raised their own little brats, and we’re left with an immature, unstable approach to modern life vis a vis finance, consumption and popular culture.

You can riff underneath all that about the feminization of American values, misandry, givers vs takers, and all that, and certainly some good things have come about like polio vaccines, civil rights and the Internet. But the basic softening of the American enamel is long since a fait accompli.

  37. i love the knee jerk hate for ‘liberal’ policies here despite the graphs showing clearly the biggest increase in debt and stagnation in male median income were during the reagan and w. bush eras. face it, so-called ‘conservative’ governments end up instituting more entitlement spending than their ‘liberal’ counterparts. obama hasn’t done anything remotely helpful yet, but the true american disaster lies squarely in the deregulatory free-for-all of the 1980s.

finally, fertility rates of immigrants tend to converge to american levels in a generation. i think there should be stricter controls, but its not the coming apocalypse. our own inability to learn from the same lessons every major recession is. rampant speculation is terribly destabilizing; commercial and investment banking should be split; creditworthiness is a crucial aspect of proper financial planning, etc.

“What would it take if just the trucks and trains stopped running?”

These suburban shutdown apocalypse scenarios are pretty scary. Scarier even is that it’s really not THAT difficult to do something like paralyze the air travel network, bomb a football game, shut down a large part of the power grid, poison a water supply or blow up a refinery.

This is why all this TSA crap is so pointless. Tactical screenings only keep out America’s dumbest terrorists; there are SO many failure modes for a terrorist to target that only a full national lockdown could really protect us.

And it doesn’t take a long-term effort; simply making people afraid it could happen to them is enough to paralyze society.

Survivalists like I have been forecasting these trends for years and let me tell you — You’re absolutely right.

We’re at the cusp of the next “Greater Depression” at the very least and a hyper-dystopian crash of western civilization at the very most.

My personal plan is to take the military route. For a young man like me the right military occupational field may lend itself to longevity and opportunity if and when things get much worse.

For those who have laid down their roots and invested heavily in a civilian lifestyle I would suggest one of two options:

[1] Leave all metropolitan areas and move to a small, tight-knit community that is at least 150 miles from any major cities. Pick up a career or skills that are pertinent to civilization [electrician, plumber, paramedic, firefighter, doctor, nurse, small engine repairman, gunsmith, small arms tactics instructor, carpenter, etc…] and slowly make yourself as self-sufficient from the grid and mainstream civilization as possible.

[2] LEAVE THE U.S.! Countries that would be ideal for American expatriates… Uruguay, Switzerland and Canada.

Also, start reading http://www.survivalblog.com on a regular basis.

    G’luck.

Doom and gloom, fallacy of uninterrupted trends, and other bullshit.

Roissy hears it a lot, but he should stop embarrassing himself with these forays into politics. Take for instance the chart on taxes. In 1981 Reagan and Congress slashed taxes for people with high incomes. What happened, aside from amassing the Reagan debt? Well, the rich paid an increasingly greater percentage of federal income taxes. Of course, that’s omitted from the chart, which begins in 1987. The highest incomes saw the greatest increases during the 80s and 90s while incomes for all other groups has stagnated since the 70s.

It’s also important to note that even though the chart is labeled “Total Tax Burden” in a smaller font it clarifies, saying “total income taxes,” which is itself a misrepresentation. The fact is most Americans pay more in FICA taxes (highly regressive) than income taxes, and when all things are accounted for, our system is rather flat. Don’t take my word for it though, see David Cay Johnston’s book Perfectly Legal.

I like how throughout the 80s Republicans were blase about debt. Fuck, even as VP Cheney said “deficits don’t matter.” Then Obama comes into office AFTER THE CRASH, and they’re screaming their heads off about deficits. They’re finally criticizing the underestimates of unemployment statistics collected by the government (which had always been blithely overlooked when trying to do cross-national comparisons because it made us look good against “socialist” Europe).

Most of the fuckers here probably love and adore debt because it’s a form of intergenerational tyranny; fiscal child abuse. Pass that shit on to future generations. Fuck you, got mine.

One great thing about this site is the number of smart people here. Anyone else here a fan of Chris Hedges? Perhaps even Roissy himself? Hedges has written a number of excellent and thought-provoking articles on the decaying state of the American empire. Here’s an example: http://bit.ly/9N6YmF

Also, his latest book, Empire of Illusion, is on my top 10 list of favorite works of non-fiction ever.

There is considerable truth to this, but it’s a bit of an overstatement. The roots of the problems that we face extend well before the 80’s, though many picked up steam under Reagan and Bush I. Certainly Republican administrations have done nothing to solve our problems, and much to create them. Modern conservatism is an unfunny joke, and those who place their faith in such self-serving clowns are certain to be disappointed.

Lurker: “finally, fertility rates of immigrants tend to converge to american levels in a generation. i think there should be stricter controls, but its not the coming apocalypse.”

You’re wrong about this. It will be an unmitigated disaster – for whites. Hell, it already is, even with the ethnic makeup of 2010. The murders, rapes, discrimination, transfer payments, cultural degradation…the list goes on. If you have a kid, have you tried to find a good school district lately? Or, if that’s not an issue, have you gone outside and just looked around? Half the time I feel like I’m in the Star Wars cantina scene.

The fertility rate issue is something of a red herring. Even if the non-white rate fully converged (which is speculative), it wouldn’t change the fact that almost all immigration is non-white. Do the math.

Under current policies, all roads lead to white displacement and dispossession. Only a radical change in course will solve the problem. Needless to say, modern conservatives will not provide that necessary change.

Uruguay is a nice quiet place. A bit too quiet. The economy is dull. The night life is poor, except in the coast, for 2 months in the year (Punta Del Este and Punta Diablo).

I would prefer Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Chile is not an option: good place to live, with horrible women.

    The answer is actually butthex.

What happens when you have a hyper-consumerist society with low sexual morality standards and third-wave feminist empowerment ideals, and then you kick the legs out from under the economy?

    Lots of prostitution.

In modern America, it wouldn’t be so much open red light-district prostitution. But with the evaporation of entry-level jobs for young people, we will inevitably see sex being openly sold through casual sugardaddy relationships and internet pornography backchannels.

I think the great books do not include the wealth transfer from men to woman since at least the 1820’s in florida alone in the form of alimony. How much wealth is that in all those marriages when for the last 100 years nearly half of marriages have always failed. This isn’t a new phenomena.
Great men have always had to struggle with less than great woman hanging around their knecks like a millstone keeping them working hard to not go to jail. Where was religion on that one eh
Nowhere to be found. Has the pope come out against the bullshit and that woman don’t need to be a parasite on a man and take what he has and give him nothing?

For some reason, every political hiccup of the food’s primitive social organization ends up with extra food sacrifices thrown into the pit of the Sarlacc.

While it is unfortunately impossible (for the food) to become a Sarlacc, there is something for it to learn: Place yourself in a position where you have no stake in the upcoming conflict, and be sure to be useful to either side with no ill feelings no matter the outcome.

many of youse have been rwsiased on ritalin with no dads to tell you to fucking work hard and fucking shut up and fucking pay attention, and thus you act like little ritalain addicts which is the way the fed wants tit mashing buttons in your menaingless videogames in your single mom’s basmemnt turning up the playsattion volume to drown out the sounds of your mom upstairs banging biker cock which teh fed funds anmd encourages to put it in her butt and which your real dad is forced to pay for and asubsidize after he cuaght her cheating with the pool boy lzozlzlzlzllz and never nmanning up and going forth and finidg your true ftahers and the reading the constitution for yourself nor homers odyssey in which telemanchus must also rid his mhome of teh false suitors and teh us constitution which states that only congeress shall eb able to coin money and that it must be gold or silver but not fiat butthexing paper lzozlzlzozlzlzlzlz.

anywaz so the fed desouls womenz form an early age via numerous methods:

    1) the slutting up of teen pop culture heroes lzozlzlzolzzlolzlzl brittany and now miley as disney is used to baiut and witch and sluttify children zlzozlzlzl
    2) teh asscocking and anal sexing of girls with the assockcers and secrteive tapers of butthex who lie about tehir heiaght and are short, lying, douchbages being promoted as heores, while those bleeding to death in the neocns wars on foreign shores are ignored lzozlzlzlzzlzo
    3) the constant barrage of ant-soul eductaion telling girls that their strong father who is trying to keep the short, lying docuhebag’s cock out of her ass and teh storng father who would beat the shit out of the assocker and short, lying secretive taper of butthex is really just oprressing her, and after ahwiel girls really ebgin to beleiev that teh fiat dollar is god and that ass cocking is tehir divine right and that any one who comes out agiants secrteiev tapings of asscockinsg is really just repressed. lzozlzlz
    4) freud took everyying virtuius like love and committment and refusing temptations and labeled it a “repression” in the same way a fiat dollar takes everyoneg good like a hard day’s work and renders it worthless as the fiat master hire a police force to sezie the property ans assets while trianing women to lure men into marrigae and to “tame them” in jonah goldberg’s words and seize their asstts lzozlzlz. for the only problem with a fiat debt based dollar i=s that it is the opposite of welath lzozlzlz and thus the fiat masters devote tehir lives to rtrying to conbevert debt based fiat dollars into physical wealth and property which is why they come up with mba buzzwords and mba bubbles as the dot com bubble and real estate bubble and al l bubbles are the conscious mechanism via which fiat debt is covnerted into phsyical property as all teh risk is socilaized an dall teh profits privataized as worthless debt rtickles on down and phsycial proeprty and welath trickler on up form teh workwer creater artist and musician to the ifat matsers lzozlzozlzlzl and so the world is inverted as those who create are robbed, and those who bullshit are rewarded lzozlzlzozzlzlzl that is why leftists come out againats property rigts amnd anyone who advocates a fiat currency is aginst property rights lzozlzozzlzl as they want to be able to buy and seize your property by doing nothing but cxreatinge fiat debt zlzozlzl which is why they had to kill the family and debauch teh cultrue and currency lzozlzozlzl and kill teh heoric spirit and replace homer moses socrates aeneies with tcuekr max lzozllzlzl their butthexual secrteive tpaer of sodomy without teh girl’s conthen “siux foot tall” hero lzozlzlz

which brings us to the PUA movementy

as girls are deosuled and desouled and trained by the fed to seize a man’s assets and use their sex appeal not to serva a husband abnd fmaily but to transfer assets and weatlth form men to their pimp daddy ben beranke lzozlzlzlzlzl, by and by trhey lose their worth to men.

i mean lzozllzzl we’re not all that stoooopid lzozlz.

as a girl is deosuled in teh fiat fed noecon assocking secrteive tapings of butthex sessions, and converted into a soulless instrument of wealth transfer, her only value lies in the titllation that she provides, while the enertal chance for immortal love that our grandparenst knew and which fmeinsit professors label opression as the fed funds them to do, is lost forever lzozlzlzlzlzl!!

like a wise ghirl who wnats to live the glory honorable story of bride wife mother must strt as a vergin and then forver sevre and be loyal to one man lozzllzlzl

    http://roissy.wordpress.com/2010/05/11/ms-paint-windows-to-the-soul/

well anywayz as behind every woman now stands a banker pimp going “BE SURE TO GET AS MUCHMONEY OUT OF TEH BETAS AS POSSIBLE AND IN RETURN WE PROMISTE YOU SECRETIVETAPINGS FROM ASSOCKING ALPHAS FILMED WITHOUT YOUR CONTHENT,” it only makes sense that a man’s goal by and by beocmes to get a smuch sex as possible without paying for it lzozlzlzozlzlz.

and that’s where game comes in.

becayuse teh federal reserve funded feminisma nd cretaed feminisms to transfer welath from men to the fed, break up teh family, but teh kids in corprate state daycare, and expand teh powers of teh stae into teh home, repalcing teh classical rugged fateh with fiat cash, the fed created the PUA game by changing the game and stakcing it against men lzozlzlzlzllz

now the fed also supports the PUA game as men wearing furry hats and spenidng tehir days working wmeiangless jobs while buying books on game purporting to help them get tehir cocks wet onece every two years is exactly what the fed wants. they DO NO wan t the men to read mises or hayek or jefferson or the us constitution lzozlzlzlz they want to keep the men in the fiat masters’ cave — the fiat butthex matrix — “gaming” and fighting over the table scraps of all the desoulaed, haggaard, std-ridden, vicious, gold-digging, cold, defeminized, prozac-addled womenz the fiat masters buttthexed and deosuled in college during teh primae nocate ceremeonies, instead of manning up and fighting for their dvine irght to something far greater — an honorable, virtuous wife. lzozllzllzllzozzlzl

I agree by taking the money from men and giving it to woman the money gets spent which probably makes a country richer. But at what cost. Pointing a gun to a mans head and demanding it and playing upon his emotions to want to take care of a bitch.

A man who had means would likely continue to save those means if he was already predisposed to do so. If he had the self control to save a fortune and the work ethic to make a fortune he would want to keep it. While a woman around his kneck would have no self control built up because all she ever had to do to get his money was have the butthex
    he he he

Then when she leaves him and still gets money and doesn’t even remember the butthex anymore. She has no problem spending all the money she recieves because hey more money will continue to poor in from that poor sap or he will go to jail so really a pretty consistant return.

Well there are men who are free today they just don’t live in western countries.

Alimonies all kinds of stories while I was a researchin on world war II to see if germany had alimony or not and it looks like germany was getting rid of alimony and hitler was making the man in the family the priority not the fiat woman. Hitler was saying to the woman you are there to serve your man and sex your man not me or the government. At the same time the us was putting additional pressure on its soldiers in the form of alimony. Stories of guys on bombing missions worrying about there alimony back home. I guess what was figured out is that alimony creates the perfect man in constant fear which wants to secretly die which makes a nice weapon apparently because they just don’t give a fuck about returning home to a bitchy wife that will leave to collect her earning from being with him and giving up the sex. So they have no problem dieing in droves and making piles of bodies that eventually stop bullets.

The problem is that alimony works to make a country rich.
The less alimony the less money gets spent by woman. The less trinkets are needed to be made. As how many purses do men buy? How many pairs of shoes does a man need? How many knecklaces, rings, wathces, trinkets does a man need? Does a man center his entire worth in meer posessions or does a man find his worth in the fact that he could beat the shit out of 90 percent of other men if he needed to.

Nothing fits east coast blue collar cities like Bruce’s “Dancing in the Dark”. It’s a respectable city, it works hard for its money. I like steel. Ha, ha. 92. Look, this is happening quicker than most of you seem to think. Consider the fact that even the MSM (ever reluctant to spread stories about this) is beginning to acknowledge the precipice (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/12/business/global/12refinance.html). How long did it take Greece to go from relative stability to full-blow riots? About three days.

America’s rural areas will probably be fine, but things will get bad in large urban areas, and potentially stay bad for several months. It’s not the end of the world, but I wouldn’t want to be caught in Manhattan or DC or LA (or their suburbs) when things go south (namely, when the federal government doesn’t have enough cash on hand to pay its employees, welfare recipients, or unemployment benefits).

For those that think “fiat money” will solve the problem, it won’t. One, it will only exacerbate it and maybe slow the inevitable for a few months. Two, our liabilities are so great that, even with the printing presses running full-tilt, the U.S. won’t be able to make its payments. It’s just math.

So for the urbanites reading this blog, have a quick way out of town, preferably on back roads, if/when riots start. Make sure you can clear out for a week, a month, whatever. Keep cash on hand. Be ready to accept that your apartment might very well burn or get trashed if looters make it into your neighborhood. And stay frosty; shit can get bad real fast.

  93. Granola. Haha. Yep, you nailed. Well, then I have to admit as far as Granola goes, Vancouver is Global Epicenter of Granola, possibly next to or alongside Copenhagen.

    As per the urban dictionary:

An adjective used to describe people who are environmentally aware (flower child, tree-hugger), open-minded, left-winged, socially aware and active, queer or queer-positive, anti-oppressive/discriminatory (racial, sexual, gender, class, age, etc.) with an organic and natural emphasis on living, who will usually refrain from consuming or using anything containing animals and animal by-products (for health and/or environmental reasons), as well as limit consumption of what he or she does consume, as granola people are usually concerned about wasting resources. Usually buy only fair-trade goods and refrain from buying from large corporations, as most exploit the environment as well as their workers, which goes against granola core values.

If you live in Vancouver, and you want to fit in, you had better sell your car and get around only on a bicycle. (I exaggerate, but you catch my drift).

People that eat meat are tolerated; vegetarians have the upper moral hand.

Exercise is critical; you can’t even get a date with a woman (or man) if you don’t jog regularly and have a membership at a gym.

Bottled water only; nobody drinks soda, except in the hinterland.

Religious people are considered backwards; unenlightened.

Condominiums are built with names like Dockside Green. Docks lending one street cred, ie. “I live near the docks. Green lends one enviro cred.

Having said all that, I still love it. Whatever you say about these hard core environmentalists, I appreciate their efforts. The water really is sparklingly clean and the air is noticeably purer than say, southern California. And it’s probably a good thing to be pressured into eating right and staying in shape.

Oh and one other thing. I’ve never been to DC. I lived in Boston for two years and the furthest south I went was New York. If you’re from the Big Bad East, and you get some juice from the Big City, you’ll be bored to tears in a small town like Vancouver (population 2.5 million). You’re better off in Toronto, which is bigger and closer to the east coast. Vancouver is a retirement town for you guys. The East Coast is considered the big leagues to people from around here.

  98. i love the knee jerk hate for ‘liberal’ policies here despite the graphs showing clearly the biggest increase in debt and stagnation in male median income were during the reagan and w. bush eras.

It looks to me like male median income stagnated by 1975 and pretty much stayed there. I’m not sure how this is only Reagan and Bush’s fault. Even if you could name specific policies as contributing factors, Congress as a whole plays a larger part in forming and implementing policy than the president. It always drives me nuts when people blame a president for events under his term yet ignore Congress, SCOTUS, and the massive Federal bureaucracy which increasingly has power to set policy on its own.

The debt graph is a graph of credit market debt, not Federal debt. (And you can’t even pin Federal debt during the 1980’s squarely on Reagan.) It clearly shows a problem, but I’m not sure how you can pin that problem entirely and only on Reagan, Bush, or conservative policies. I’m not sure why the credit market debt shot up in the late 1980’s, but the rise under Bush was due to the now infamous housing bubble. Bush was no saint in this, but are we really going to excuse Congress, specifically people lake Frank and Dodd, and the liberal “everyone deserves a home” mind set?

Don’t get me wrong: I have no love for Bush and have lost all faith in the Republican party. But I’m not buying that all these problems are entirely due to Reagan, Bush, and those evil conservatives.

face it, so-called ‘conservative’ governments end up instituting more entitlement spending than their ‘liberal’ counterparts.

Social Security and Medicare were liberal programs, were they not? The health care bill was a strictly Democrat endeavor, was it not? Again, Republicans are not angels. Just look at Bush’s drug entitlement program. But I think over the course of the century the bulk of the blame belongs to the progressives. The problem with conservatives is that they are often infected with progressive ideals. But the Democrats are terminal with the disease.

That said, I sure wish a third party would rise up. Republicans are merely the lesser of two evils. They’re not the solution.

obama hasn’t done anything remotely helpful yet, but the true american disaster lies squarely in the deregulatory free-for-all of the 1980s.

Could you please cite the regulations which were eliminated during the 1980’s and which you believe contributed to all of this? Were they eliminated by Reagan, Congress, or both?

The most obvious example I can think of was the elimination of Glass-Steagall, and that happened in the 90’s with a Republican Congress and a Democrat president who could have vetoed it and avoided much of the damage done in the 2000’s. Shame on the Republicans, but the Democrats hardly deserve a pass.

finally, fertility rates of immigrants tend to converge to american levels in a generation.

Then why is the red part of that graph so freaking huge?

rampant speculation is terribly destabilizing; commercial and investment banking should be split; creditworthiness is a crucial aspect of proper financial planning, etc.

Amen. But a connection you fail to recognize is that politicians tossed aside many of these lessons and regulations in the hopes of providing minorities and immigrants with greater access to credit, at which point they expected greater access to minority and immigrant votes. The immigrants today are not conforming to the ideals and culture which made America strong, and the politicians are chasing their votes, which means adopting their foreign ideals and culture, their demands. This isn’t our only or perhaps even our worse problem. But how many problems can we take?

These numbers are worrisome except the immigration numbers (especially since there are far more Americans than there were in 1910 — immigration remains low as a percentage of the native population).

More generally, your propensity to pander to the nativism and latent racism of white middle class Americans doesn’t have much in the way of science or economics to back it up. It’s merely self-indulgent.

I don’t see why national cohesion matters to prosperity or otherwise.

[see: robert putnam’s study on how diversity decreases trust.]

For example, I see cohesion through nationalism as a major source of America’s anti-foreign bias which repeatedly threatens the economic benefits of existing and additional unencumbered trade.

  133. Chile is not blessed with a good amount of cute chicks. Really

I have a solid reputation as a racist here, so let me clarify this one.

Chile IS NOT THAT BAD. Obviously, it is worse than Argentina, but they received enough European immigration to have a significant number of hot chicks. It helps that the original Indians of CHile, the Mapoche, were not as ugly as their ANdean counterparts. Life in the ANdean highlands created the ugliest specimens of the human race there

Chile should not be put in the same basket of Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. The Qhechuas and AYmarás were deformed by life in the highlands, just like Tibetans. Their short, compact bodies and their necklessness created the ugliest women of the human race. Poon in the former Inca Empire competes with Mordor in quality.

The lowland Indians, as the Mapoche, weren´t uglified like the highland tribes. It also helped that when they were about to be incorporated by that Evil Empire of Ugliness the Spaniards arrived, kicked Inca ass, and conquered the Mapoche themselves.

[editor: this is the kind of bracing non-pc analysis that sets this blog apart.

btw, i think the australian aborigines could give the highland amerindians a run for their money in the ugly sweepstakes.]

  139. Some people talking politics need to drop down the rabbit hole. You are talking about the fish in the ocean when others are telling you to see the water you are swimming in. Republican/Democrat is pointless, the dominant social trend is socialism and feminism. Ever notice that all the Republicans do is slow down the Democrats? They don’t ever completely repeal policies, they reform them and make them work better. Even Ron Paul is leftish compared to the reactionaries that used to be found on the right. If you can get your ahead around a country in which Ron Paul is as far left as it goes, then you have some idea of what it means to be an actual right-winger in the historical sense.

Male wages stagnated due to increased labor supply. Mass immigration kicked off with the reform in the 1960s and feminism got going in the 1970s. The slide in male wages meant many women who wanted to stay at home had to work to keep up with rising prices. Many people turned to debt for consumption to pay for a rising lifestyle. The increase in debt fueled faster economic growth. The government just did what almost everyone else was doing.

The deeper problems go as far back as the Enlightenment once you start looking and even the U.S. Civil War destroyed the Old Republic. The U.S. has done better because we and the British invented modern political thought and are culturally tied to limited government. Almost everywhere else it’s tried, you get a French revolution, communism, nazism, etc.
Bloodbath du jour. Now consider all those immigrants coming into America and ask yourself whether they’re being hardcore indoctrinated into old school classical Anglo-Saxon political thought and culture.

How has the US been betrayed? Let me count the ways:

    1) Economically: infiltration of Rothschild’s and other European bankers in the economy since the XIX century, mostly thru front men like the Rockfellers and Morgan.
    – Creation of the FED, which is not federal nor public, but a private , for profit institution controlled by European banks. It was created during the holidays, when most senators were at home. Read “The Creature from jeckil island”, for details.
    – Abandonment of the gold reserves and gold parity.
    – Development of NAFTA, WTO and ridiculous favoritism to China, against all American interests.

    2) Militarily: every war inthe XX century was against the interest of the American people. The traitor Wilson, who was the front runner for world government with the League of Nations, and was controlled by Colonel House, left the people dying in the streets from the Flu to push for the war. FDR, the socio fascist traitor who gave away half the world to communism, set up Pearl Harbor.
General McArthur was fired so he couldn’t win the Korean war. Vietnam was a joke. Iraq a lie.
Clinton allowed Chinese spies to steal all kinds of military secrets.

    3) Culturally: the CIA created and funded feminism. Drugs were introduced on purpose in the US. The rich foundations owned by the elite fund all kinds of perversity so they can destroy traditional values and the family.

For two hundred years, European bankers who intermarried with the nobility think they are better than us and want to create a “benevolent” government where they rule and we obey. It is all in the UN’s Agenda XXI, in the Club of Rome papers, in Brezinsky’s book, in David Rockefeller’s memoirs, in Bill Clinton’s guru Carol Quigley’s Tragedy and Hope, in Cecil Rhodes writings, etc, etc, ad nauseum. But nobody reads this shit.

The US, with its freedom and a strong middle class, is a stumbling block for them. America must go. However, America is like a giant being stung by thousands of bees. It tumbles, but it has not fallen yet. It depends on you.

  142. There’s a slightly disgusting level of ignorant selfishness in a lot of the responses to these doomsday scenarios. The idea seems to be that you can “go off the grid” and hunker down shooting anyone who comes to steal your gold coins — while some magical force rebuilds society and sets things right.

Here’s a clue: if you’re off the grid in your rural bunker, you’re NOT going to have any input into how that new society is going to be run. The ones who stay involved are going to make the new rules, and they will ALWAYS have more guns than you do.

Instead of planning to hunker down, get involved! If you don’t like Republican party policies — get involved so you can suggest changes! Join your local organization, volunteer for candidates.

And if you think it’s too late for that, then you REALLY need to get involved. No matter how many guns you have in the basement, you have to sleep sometime. Far better to get a support network to watch your back.

It’s kind of bizarre to see people hoping for the return of a more communitarian society — and planning to hide out alone while somebody else makes it happen. That attitude is part of the problem.

The first link is from the Cato Institute, which is where the chart is from.

(Check out the last one, BTW, which is amusing as it acknowledges the disparity, but then tries to explain it away thusly:

“The analysis, however, leaves out factors, like an employee’s level of experience or specific industry, which could impact their salary.”

Which is hilarious because if you tried pointing out that out as a reason for why woman ‘still make X percent of what a man does’ in the workforce as opposed to rampant sexism, you would be called a misogynist or ignored.

    Anyway, I digress…)

The point being the trend line is for the Federal and State governments, with their union backers, becoming the employer of choice when it comes to pay and benefits in the US economy. Add to that the chances of being fired once ensconced in a public sector are almost nil no matter what your productivity is or how bad of a screw-up you are, OR how you are bilking the system.

This creates a vicious and self-destructive cycle anyone should be able to comprehend.

The State, who has the power to tax and now apparently seize assets at will (see Kelo decision for one example, GM is another), is using those assets to increase its power. It sucks the money out of the parts of the economy which actually produces things, and uses it to grow a vast bureaucracy which finds things to do to justify its existence. These ‘things’, not surprisingly, involve getting ever more intrusive in our day to day lives rather than actually solve real and large problems, AND find more ways to get us to pay into the system through taxes, fees, regulations, etc. It also involves squeezing out the competition which everybody NOT in government.

This is, in the vernacular of the environmentalists, ‘unsustainable’. If you keep sucking off the teats of private industry to feed the ever growing public beast, you suck it dry, killing it, leaving nothing on which to subsist for ANYONE. What follows is inevitably going to be ugly to say the least.

People who are pointing fingers at Republicans are not off-base, in that the Federal government has continued to grow steadily over the years. However, they point to Reagan and Bush without acknowledging:

    A) The country was ruled by Democrats in Congress for most of this past century

    B) Congress is the one who has the power of the purse, i.e., the one who spends the bling

Have Republicans spent their own plethora of Pork? Yes. Have they been in charge of that spend for the vast majority of the time? No.

Yes, it is an institutional bi-partisan problem, but while there remains some sense of fiscal sanity among some Republican conservatives, it’s getting REALLY HARD to find that among Democrats. Trying to say “Republicans did it” at the very same time the Dems are outspending all previous Administrations by several factors AND initiating nonsensical policies which are gutting revenue generation is too obvious to deny.

Add to this the fact that we are expecting the most productive of the citizenry to foot the bill for this bloated oligarchy in the making, while making the majority of citizens freeloaders on it, and we are setting ourselves up for a disaster that will destroy ALL but the very rich and those highly placed in the government who will make sure they keep theirs, oh you bet your sweet ass!

Those who are actually productive will either:

    1) Give up and join the free handout rosters
    2) Flee to anywhere else where their abilities are valued
    3) Join the government figuring joining is better than being beaten down

You can quibble with the decimals on the charts, and some of the more sociological impacts of the trends, but anyone who denies that something large and ominous is on the horizon are in la-la land.

I think Roissy is pointing out the iceberg ahead, and while we can all argue about its shape, how big it actually is, and if its white or bluish-white, the fact is impact is coming and when it comes, it might just sink us.

If there is one thing I do argue with Roissy’s argument, it is this:

“the science is rolling in fast like a tsunami that there are real and enduring genetic differences in a whole host of metrics between the averages of human population groups. these differences will have consequences for the prosperity and cohesion of the nation.”

I may be misinterpreting this, but if it surmises that genetics have determining factors in our fate, I don’t buy this at all (although I would read the evidence).

I think CULTURE is a very important and extremely important determining factor for the fate of nations, and that is often confused with race because often those align due to geographic and historical reasons. However, it is not the RACE of ethnic Chinese or Indians, for example, which tend to make them successful people in the vast other nations in which they settle, but the culture they bring with them and live by.

What has happened to the United States, among other negative trends, has been a systemic trashing of our culture (where we even are acknowledged to HAVE one), often binding it up in questions of race, i.e., “That’s the WHITE way to talk”, “White European Thinking”, etc.

This has been in many ways been done on purpose, in order to delegitimize ANY positive and blatantly successful aspects of our system by labeling it as “racist” or “oppressive”. You know, stuff like merit based pay and promotions, and equal opportunity as opposed to equality of outcome.

Observed objectively, American culture is a huge net positive for human beings, but that is why it cannot be viewed objectively and needs to smeared and slimed and denigrated by those who hate it.

So, its not so much that we have so many other new-citizens outpacing the old in reproduction, but that the values that made this the place you would WANT to come and raise a family in is being lost amid multi-culturalism and political correctness, which is pushed by many ‘established’ citizens.

[editor: cultures do not spring up in a genetic vacuum; they are reflections of the biological predispositions of their peoples. culture and genes reinforce each other in an all-encompassing eternal feedback loop.]

Ignorance of people thinking the us is a free country has been going on for hundreds of years. I think people are starting to realize we haven’t been free at all. We work more hours than other countries. The men get enslaved to the woman. People are not free to do what they want.
Guys can only be married to one woman to make it almost a 100 percent probablility that they will be enslaved one way or the other to one woman. Catholic priests with no access to woman sexually so that they can go along with men getting married as a good thing. In there minds the guys got the pussy that they couldn’t get so it is ok that the guy should then pay for that magical pussy for life. The enslavement happens at a young age so it is usually before the men are experienced enough or know enough about pussy and life to defend themselves from the bullshit.

  148. Since 1970, spending has grown 64% faster when a Republican sits in the White House than when a Democrat does.

In the twelve years that a Democrat has sat in the White House, spending has increased at an average rate of 1.29% per year; during the 22 years of Republican presidencies, government spending has risen at an average rate of 2.12%. In other words, spending has grown 64% faster when a Republican sits in the White House than when a Democrat does.

During the 20 years Democrats have controlled both houses of Congress, spending has grown at an average rate of 1.84% per year, more than double the average rate of 0.89% per year during the six years the GOP ran Congress. (During the other eight years, when control of Congress was split between the two parties, spending grew at an average rate of 2.52%. The split-control years all occurred during Republican presidencies.)

When Democrats controlled the White House plus both houses of Congress, spending grew at 1.70% per year, slightly below the average growth rate of 1.83% for the entire period.

The slowest spending growth occurred when a Democrat sat in the White House and Republicans controlled both houses of Congress. Spending rose by an average of just 0.89% during the six years of this situation, which all occurred with Bill Clinton as president and Newt Gingrich as Speaker of the House.

During the 14 years Republicans controlled the White House and Democrats controlled both houses of Congress, spending grew at an average annual rate of 1.92%. During the eight years with a Republican president and a split Congress, spending grew at 2.54% per year.

The results are quite clear – not only do Republican presidents spend far more money, but they often spend it on such “necessities” as creating wars. Sadly, the American people are extremely unlikely to let the use of any for of facts, figures, or statistics inform their decisions. So, it looks like the Republican Party can continue with it’s campaign of FUD, and people will listen.

President Bush and his supporters argued that these high-income tax cuts would benefit everybody because they would unleash investment that would spark widespread economic prosperity. There seems to be no evidence of this, particularly given the collapse of the economy at the end of the Bush years.

The tax legislation enacted under President George W. Bush from 2001 through 2006 will cost $2.48 trillion over the 2001-2010 period.

This includes the revenue loss of $2.11 trillion that results directly from the Bush tax cuts as well as the $379 billion in additional interest payments on the national debt that we must make since the tax cuts were deficit-financed.

well, is it the reason that women still make less than men?
    ”””””””’

How could it be possible in the us when the woman gets to keep her money and the mans money?

The statistics are set up wrong. You need to take all married womans husbands income and include it in theirs. Then take divorced womans income from the transference of wealth from men. Pretty sure they are coming out on top income wise.
Then take skills of woman and men.
Take the lowest denominator men and woman at the beginning and see who ends up with the most income.
If you just factored in the woman recieving the wealth transferances in the hundreds of millions of dollars from men it would make quite an impact.

Then you look at every major company has classification for jobs and they all have the same base pay whether man or woman. Just that woman are not electricians or plumbers or hvac techs or mechanics, or capenters, or anything that actually produces wealth and where you have to sweat in the hot sun working your ass off.

Really just take out the top 5 percent of men and woman and then look at results. Gonna probably be surprizing. But you can’t exclude the additional money woman get for having a pussy and getting married.

Think about it like this. What it guys could have a free apartment or house. What if guys got a free car, free food, free cable, free electric, free gas, free everything and his money he made at work was his personnal spending money. This is pretty much what woman get right now in a marriage or living together relationship. So yea prob not a bad deal.

To put in perspective a man can get the shared room and food and free electric and such but we are not talking own place now and his own spending money but will be expected to work upwards of a hundred hours per week on occasion and go and die if told to.

Now is there a comparison between men and woman?

Is it possible to say woman have some sort of disadvantage?

  155. @jay jay,
you do realize that the reason the tax burden has shifted more to the rich in recent years is because the rich are richer and everybody else is poorer, right? The middle and lower classes actually make less money now than they did 10 years ago, and income tax rates have stayed the same since the tax cuts in ’01…

much of the spreading income inequality over the past 30 years can be explained by the choices of women. 40 years ago, most families were ONE income. Then, Scholastic Susan started attending medical school, law school, or dental school. She married her peer MD or JD; their combined family income frequently tops $500,000.

Meanwhile her sister, Single Mom, never married, and later discarded her low-income FOB, because Surrogate Husband increasingly fills her purse with Medicaid, section 8 housing, school free and reduced lunches, WIC food, earned income credit, and child care subsidy. She and the discarded FOB each earn $30,000 so we tally two households on the low end.

Does this growing inequality generate jealousy? sure. Does it generate class warfare at the voting polls? sure.

I remember a grieving ministry for women in a parish I attended where they grouped women who had lost small children to a disease or accident with women who had abortions as if there was some more equivalence. Many women who had 12 – 16 years of catholic education have left the church in droves because when it came their time to sacrifice NO WAY! Then, the shock of shocks after learning what a scam VAWA I googled to see if any priests were especially vocal against it (there will always be some conservative catholics who know the score but I’m talking mainstream) and I found out many dioceses and parishes have a female VAWA coordinator on staff! Well I was brought up catholic and the mantra was get married before having sex and children. It is massively pushed. Many peoples parents were married. Society encourages marriage. The thing I am trying to do that society does not is show that 50 percent of marriages have historically failed it is normal. Not a new thing. Yet men are the ones punished for that failure like it is their fault when it is just life. So yea I agree with you I think men should never get married under western laws but they are pushed into it and there own biology pushes them to want to also have kids which again they are punished for. Using human nature to enslave it what is going on.

”””that married mens’ hands are tied (which I mostly agree with).””””

    yup.

”””””’You literally don’t HAVE to do anything you don’t want to, let alone anything a woman tells you to.”””””’

This is true for men who are able to draw a line in the sand of things they will and will not tolerate and when anyone crosses that line those men are willing to stop whoever from crossing that line by murder if necesary. This is not the average man as we can see in the west. Men are consistantly undergoing things that make them go what in the fuck how could this happen and yet still abide the rule and still continue to pay money that they think is rediculas without seeking revenge on those perpetrating crimes agianst them. Very few men under any condition will resort to going out hard to the death. So again human nature being used against them along with societies norms and expectations for how they should behave and again religion.

””””Save your money for 5 years and buy a cabin in Canada. Grow your own veggies, hunt your own game, install your own solar panels. There are other ways to live.

Yea I did save money and worked 5 years in iraq. Lost a bunch of money in market. I now live in indonesia where it was ok for me to get married because this is a free country. Men and woman can divorce here and it is no big deal they just continue on with life without oweing each other anything. The wife grows are own food. Got a ton of rice sitting in the kitchen. Yea like a metric ton he he he
Yea I saw writing on the wall many moons ago when I saw my dad get divorced. Yea trying to make sure other people know that there are options and that marriage leads to slavery in the west. It is just funny to be looking at shit and realizing that everything is just a pretty lie. Wild stuff.

  176. “Report from Niagara Falls”

I just spent a week and more in Canada. Apparently, the general consensus up here is that the US has been in a downward spiral for the better part of two decades.

There’s a smug (apparently justified) sense of superiority up here that wasn’t immediately in evidence when I first arrived. I think they think we Americans are socially retarded. Rich and showy, but they think they’re socially and ethically superior.

From the degree of professional competence I’ve observed in my time up here, I’m extremely impressed.

All of you doom-and-gloom for the West should come up here and spend more time than I did. Figure out what these people did.

    My theory:

Given the similarities (feminism, etc.), I can’t be immediate Foreign Expert and work it out. My observations support one thing:

    – They seem to be like the US in terms of basic population, but without the black *and* white underclass.
    – They seem to have a much better primary/highschool education system (a bit like a semi-Asian philosophy here; the schools aren’t just holding pens for criminals).
    – Far fewer drug problems
    – No gated communities I could see
    – Much larger and more self-satisfied middle class.

    ALSO

    – Much larger role for government in all industries. Note, This seems to be more like the Chinese/Singaporean/Japanese (Zaibatsu)/Korean model than like a pure Laissez-Faire system.

    – They say there’s a much more equal points-system for immigration, but the upshot appears to be mostly highly-trained, high-education-attitude Asians.

    Prediction:

If these things are accurate at all, they’re going to end up being perhaps not majority White, but much more successful than the US.

Significantly, according to one person I spoke to, they add 1 million people every 3 years to their population through immigration, most cherry-picked from other countries, unlike us: letting any riffraff in.

I suggest that this is good, and in fact brilliantly concealed, eugenics.

*If* they integrate these cultures, I suggest further that this represents a superior model to that we’ve been using in the US.

Deficit-funding social payments can contribute to spending and general well-being. Medicare, for example. Still a disaster, long-term. Limited argument for this.

Deficit-funding the military can bring returns if it drops the price of oil, or stabilizes the economy. Again, limited argument for this.

    BUT

Deficit-funding of tax cuts to the very rich provides absolutely nothing to the social good and bankrupts for no good reason. The rich move money offshore faster than you can blink.

Republican strategies of tax-cutting (and increasing expenses far faster than Dems) have a huge negative impact on us today. Denying this because you hate liberals = you’re blind.

How about not cherry picking your data and extending that tax burden graph to the 1950s, when the top marginal tax rate was 87%?

The tax graphs are also bullshit, because they leave out how much money the bottom 95% earn. You can’t tax people on money they don’t earn.

[editor: i agree. that’s why i mentioned in another similar comment that the tax graph is indicative of worsening income inequality, which is a portent for nation state dissolution.]

The only two valuable graphs I see are the ones showing how public sector wage growth has outstripped the private sector and is being treated like welfare for the educated. States are already being bankrupted by over generous pensions and civil service salaries.

GE paid an effective 0% tax rate. The poor rich, with the crushing tax burden! They only have half a billion now instead of a billion. The fallacy of tax cuts, particularly for the rich is that it shits all over the velocity of money. So while theoretically there is more money available to the rich to “invest” with all they do is speculate and gamble it causing distortions in the market place. They don’t turn around and build nuclear power plants or start up high tech research centers with their extra cash.

This is how Europeans act towards us too. It gets tedious eventually, especially when you look past the curtain and see what doesn’t work in their society either and how parochial and small minded they truly are. Swedes and Norwegians are the very worst with this, followed by the Dutch and Germans. Thye had this attitude towards us in WWII as well. See how far it got them then. We’ve gone wrong by applying their remedies too, I might add. Where we’ve not listened to them, we’ve done just fine. All of this is driven by envy and a nagging inferiority complex. People who think by being cool with Europeans and sucking up to them to show “that not all Americans are like that” are fools. Be cosmpolitan and worldly, but don’t be deferential. One problem is Americans are generally very parochial too. SWPLS are among the most parochial. They are representative of the irony meant by “stuck a feather in his cap and called it macaroni” in the song Yankee Doodle. They fancy themselves citizens of the world by munching on third rate Brie and knowing where Tuscany is. All the same, Europeans are as racist as anyone, if not more, and socialism has made the average man more jealous of power, not less. Deep down, Germans are pissed and feel cheated that they don’t build Tiger tanks anymore. The European bourgeoisie is the worst, because they feel cheated but can’t admit it. In their minds, Americans cheat to be successful because their system doesn’t make it impossible to succeed. Their financial system is stuck in the 50s and everyone makes a big deal over simple stuff like writing a check. Let them be smug, we’ll have our house cleaning soon enough and the tables will be turned.

All you clowns that want to see a high marginal tax rate seem to forget that when we had those rates, we also had a huge nnumber of deductions not available now. People often paid less tax, but did so via economically perverse and artificial incentives. Keep taxation simple and consumption based. I like the fair tax idea. But that takes away control from the intelligentsia and they like big government because it creates an opportunity to be in charge of others. It’s pretty simple, really – America got fat on the spoils of the Second World War, and while the men and women who actually fought the war and made the weaponry (respectively) rode off into the sunset in the 50′s, in the vain hope of raising a generation that wouldn’t have to go to war, they allowed their children to never grow up.

You can riff underneath all that about the feminization of American values, misandry, givers vs takers, and all that, and certainly some good things have come about like polio vaccines, civil rights and the Internet. But the basic softening of the American enamel is long since a fait accompli.

    Badger has it.

This is a hugely complicated process. There was no golden age of perfect values. The US pre-Civil War was a riddle of contradictions and unsustainable social inequities and tensions: the Civil War was bound to happen in one form or another.

And race is just one factor.

Focusing on race does one thing: it takes away responsibility for failing with so much else. And being otherwise blind.

It also solves nothing: Black people aren’t disappearing.

*CULTURE* we can do something about.

[editor: as i wrote in a comment to one of the open borders anti-white zealots, culture does not spring up in a genetic vacuum. it is a natural emergent phenomenon of the biological predispositions of the people within the culture. genes and culture act in concert, one reinforcing the other, in a massive all-encompassing eternal feedback loop. it is a mistake to assume we can transport millions of racially different people from one country into ours and assume that even with a powerful and unapologetic assimilative process in effect that those immigrants will eventually conform to the traditional norm of the native stock of the nation. case in point: 400+ years of assimilative pressures and blacks are still a people within a people in the US on a host of social measures.]

  210. Your blog should be subtitled “a seminar on how to tell outrageous lies by misusing statistics and science”.

    First, this:

Kedrosky himself is a tool and a moron, calling “households” the “problem child,” even though financial firm malfeasance alone dwarfs the growth of personal debt in the last decade. As well, this includes mortgages, and a rise in home ownership (fail-laden though this has been) is naturally going to push the bottom section of that graph upwards.

But this growth clearly shows the nature of the problem is driven by right-wing elite worship and not left-wing egalitarianism.

Secondly, push the graphs concerning income taxes back to the ratification of the 16th Amendment and see if it changes the feel of the situation a little.

Third, government wages are higher not because government wages are out of control, but because destruction of the earning power of the working American by the corporate overlords is nearly complete.

Fourth, the immigration graph is seriously misleading, because expressed as a percentage of total population, 15M is a fucking drop in the bucket (it’s less than 5% for the decade and LESS THAN ONE PERCENT PER YEAR).

Fifth, the triangle shaped graph is hilariously stupid. But then, Roy Beck is a fucking idiot, and you posting anything he has created casts serious doubt on your own critical thinking skills. The truth is, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the US population is composed of people who have relocated (or been forcibly relocated) from the lands of their ethnic ancestry in the last 200 years. This graph is essentially saying the same thing as “water makes you wet, AND BEING WET CAN BE CAUSE YOU TO DIE” without making any kind of case as to why.

[editor: you do understand that most of the “relocation” since 1970 has been of the non-white anti-native stock variety? which was the point of the graph.]

But, good work, because people are eating it up. Maybe a second subtitle could be “how I overcame my jealousy of sociopaths by becoming one myself.”

how you drew those conclusions from this graph is beyond me and beyond logic. You must be an Ivy league graduate of a political science program or maybe women’s studies with those advanced analytical skills of yours. These figures are from the Federal Reserve too, so not much cooked data there. 60% of the debt is government or GSE plus households. That is the direct result of efforts to redistribute income and pay for entitlements as well as the big home refinancing driven spending spree so many of us went on, encouraged by Democrat policy concerning those GSEs and low interest rates. Both of which were intended to redistribute income to the middle and lower classes BTW and had the effect of dramatically increasing house prices, which many people now cannot afford because their values have returned to normal without such stimulus. Corporate and Financial sector debt accounts for 40% and corporate debt actually declined as a percentage of total debt by 29%. You try really hard to sound smart but don’t quite get there. I suggest a different major or taking some courses that teach quantitative analysis. Talk less and listen more, as Ben Franklin would have counseled. Otherwise, you just come across as outspoken and stupid, which is not a good combination unless you want to be a politician. You say there is a Tsunami of evidence for this. Toss a wave or two my direction, please.

Of course cultures do not ‘spring up in a vaccuum’, but to lay it all out to genetics seems narrow focused at best.

I think culture is greatly affected by the environment people live in and the chaotic nature of life itself; some divergence, wide divergence, is to be expected in cultures developing far from each other.

You seem to, in this sentence, completely ignore how living in the Fertile Crescent, the Baltics, and South Pacific and dealing the very different environments in each would be a massive influence on the culture of the people’s living there.

“editor: as i wrote in a comment to one of the open borders anti-white zealots, culture does not spring up in a genetic vacuum”

Okay, try to understand this…you throw out a lot of facts, and then draw precisely the wrong conclusion from them.

CONGRESS holds the purse-strings. They propose the legislation full of pork, and they vote for it, and if the President vetoes it, they can override it and STILL get it passed.

OR they stuff lots of goodies into the bill which are completely unrelated to the bill at hand, which leaves a President the choice of not getting something done, or having it been done with alot of bullshit crammed in.

Do Presidents propose a lot of things? Yes, yes they do. But Congress FUNDS them.

Presidents don’t get to “create wars” all by their lonesome. Congress decides whether or not to authorize the use of force, and even if some fancy footwork bypasses that, they STILL control the financing of said wars. No financing, no war.

Trying to say otherwise is typical of Democrats who want to take credit for military operations that go well, and disown them when they don’t, all in the name of political expediency.

In some ways blacks should have assimilated more quickly than some other groups because during slavery they lived in such close proximity to whites. Although they certainly picked up some culture from southern whites, they are still very different from them.

I think the status (or lack thereof) accorded to them in the community into which you say they should have assimilated would effectively answer this point. Human nature is such that it’s difficult for people to assimilate into a society which specifically regards them and their ilk as second class citizens. Contrast that with the late 19th century white immigrants, where assimilation offered increased status.

[editor: your history of the usa is muddled. assimlation offered increased status for blacks too.]

Exactly the same thing happened with Irish Catholics during the Penal Laws. These were laws passed at the end of the 17th century severely discriminating against Irish Catholics. Effectively the result was that Catholics (even those who had previously been assimilated) simply opted out of the mainstream Establishment system, anyone who continued to participate was shunned.

It took at least another century, and the removal of these laws, before any degree of assimilation took place and even then it was curtailed by a sense of “us” and “them” which never really died. Indeed, even now, most Irish people take a perverse satisfaction in putting one over on the system, even though, since independence, it is effectively their own system. I don’t think this is necessarily true of Irish-Americans though, which would indicate that this trait is cultural & historical rather than genetic in nature.

Would you assimilate into a system that would not regard you as equal, even when assimilated? I wouldn’t do it myself, I have to say, and I wouldn’t think much of anyone else in the same boat who did.

That would mean carte blanche for the politicians to start rolling the printing presses even more than they are now. Once people start working again and spending just a little more, inflation will kick in. Moreover, inflation is a great way to eliminate debt by inflating our way out of it. And the governments’ (Federal, State, Local) EVER increasing taxation in all its forms, along with the ever strident regulation which make any sort of business making something tangible here and thus supplying jobs, has NOTHING to do with the “earning power of the working American”?

Tell me, who do the “corporate overlords” go to when they need this or that law passed to protect their interests? Whom do they bribe with contributions and largesse and favors in order to get things done?

I will give you a hint…its a mega-corporation whose main office building is built out of white marble and is situated between Maryland and Virginia.

How I tire of this trope. If the corporations REALLY ran things, they would not have to stroke all the bloated schmucks in DC. They would have no need to wine and dine Senator “Touches Pages Inappropriately” and Congressman Woman “Dumb as a Rock”. They would just #&%&* DO IT!

Its the government that has the power to put their noses into every aspects of OUR business, and they leverage that power into ways to REALLY strike it big, which taxing all our asses for everything we are worth, and then spending to do the favors asked of them.

If the politicians were limited in the power they had to meddle, there would be little point in bribing them.

There are too many variables. But looking at the trends you can draw some conclusions and speculate as best as you can. You seem to favor the status quo mindset and assume the markets and global economy will continue to behave the way they used to. I’m not so sure and I don’t take anything for granted anymore. With our government printing money as we speak, there will be hyperinflation at some point, probably early next year. I’m not afraid, just trying to understand what it means for me. That’s all I can do.

””””Add to this the fact that we are expecting the most productive of the citizenry to foot the bill for this bloated oligarchy in the making, while making the majority of citizens freeloaders on it, and we are setting ourselves up for a disaster that will destroy ALL but the very rich and those highly placed in the government who will make sure they keep theirs, oh you bet your sweet ass!

Those who are actually productive will either:

    1) Give up and join the free handout rosters
    2) Flee to anywhere else where their abilities are valued
    3) Join the government figuring joining is better than being beaten down
    ””””’

And someone else said aww the poor rich.

Let us put a number on rich according to merryl lynch there were 3 million millionairs in the US.

If you take a million dollars and put it in bank and earn interest that is gonna be what 2 percent.
    20k a year.

A welfare mother gets more than that and she gets health insurance along with dental for her and kids and people feel bad for her.

The millionaire would not qualify for health insurance for his family because he has too much money in bank.

So in reality it is ok to feel bad for the millionaire.

He has to keep being productive or he is fucked. If he makes a bad investment he is fucked. If he gets divorced he is fucked.

    Sad state of affairs.

    Please share.

[editor: one of these days i’ll put together a post on the matter, with plenty of links to studies included. for now, off the top of my head, there was a study about blacks having different MAOA receptors than whites or asians, and MAOA is implicated in criminal violence and impulsiveness. ps i may have the acronym wrong.]

[see: robert putnam’s study on how diversity decreases trust.]

Yes and Putnum acknowledges that that trust is essential for the maintenance of the femi-cunt welfare state which he loves. Bring on the diversity, most of which comes with patriarchal norms, and kiss femi-cunt power goodbye.

[welfare wouldn’t be so much of a problem in a homogeneous society where there was a stronger extended-kin bond to fellow citizens and a consequently stronger incentive to not fuck up and embarrass oneself, or to feel it’s ok to screw over your neighbor and take money from the public (read: family) fisc. this is why a country like sweden (until recently thx to immigration of muslims) can be an economically productive place with a big welfare state.]

[it is a libertarian trope that national cohesion and free trade are mutually exclusive.]

It’s not that they’re mutually exclusive per se, it’s that they tend to conflict, especially in North America. The U.S. has much greater national cohesion than Canada and is far more protectionist.

[some conflicts are better than others. i’ll take a little less free trade in exchange for a lot more safety, national pride, trust, goodwill, and improved social measures. not to mention less need for redistributive taxation.]

Not a hint of hyperinflation in Japan and rates have been at 0% with numerous periods of quantitative easing (read printing money) for over a decade. Japan is actually reporting deflation.

The velocity of money, as you rightly point out, has slowed massively. Money that just goes into the pockets of bankers (Fed lending at 0% to big banks who lever up and buy treasuries at 3%) is just not getting money moving in the economy.

The govt’s control over the economy is a lot weaker than people seem to think. Controlling the short end of the yield curve can be done much easier than the long end.

One might even argue significant inflation (not hyperfinflation by definition) already happened in this country. The dollar has since rebounded against the euro, but within a ten year period the dollar went from $0.80/euro to nearly $1.60/euro. Real estate, of course, went up dramatically along with the price of oil (denominated in dollars) and the stock market and gold (priced in dollars). All of these assets priced in euros showed much smaller appreciation. Clearly there was dollar inflation happening at a huge pace.

Inflation is simply an expanding money supply chasing asset prices higher.

Look at money supply figures since we went off the gold standard during the Nixon administration. They have gone straight up particularly during the last 15-20 years. Take it back further and the dollar has lost 99% of its value since FDR. That is by definition inflation–serious fucking inflation.

Now we are in a cycle of debt destruction (meaning asset prices as supported by debt are falling). This in turn forces the value of the dollar higher as the amount of dollars outstanding is declining. Note that the dollar is a commodity like any other, governed by the laws of supply and demand.

One way we might jump the shark to hyperinflation would be for China and other foreign debt holders to sell Treasuries and other US assets. This flood the world with dollars, more dollars than are currently being elminated through debt destruction. China and other foreign holders would find their US assets hurt in the process, however, as they own too much to sell all at once without effecting the market significantly. Chances of this happening are tiny.

I see decades of deflation similar to Japan ahead for the US. We are following the Japanese model: zombie banks, stimulus plans, and quant easing. It failed for them to produce inflation and it will fail for Big Ben.

I think there is a limit to the number of countries that can get away with a Japan type economic policy. In any event, its not good policy, nor is running the printing presses forever good policy. There just aren’t enough creditor nations in the world for it to be viable. In the end, someone has to pay the piper. I’d rather be the one with the cash rather than the one who needs a loan. Good macro-economics is not any different than good home economics.

Naturally the author turned a declining society into a pro-abortion rant. Stupid stupid stupid! What the author didn’t get is basic cause & effect. It takes a 2.1 birth rate per couple for society to be at replacement levels. The US is at 1.7 at last count and is expected to drop to 1.3 within a generation. Immigration is going to increasingly be responsible for our nation’s population growth. Whether that’s a good thing or bad remains to be seen, but illegal immigration will cripple us. Think California, but on a national scale.

A good summary of the situation:

There can be little doubt that America, along with the west as a whole, is being set up for a total collapse in which life as we know it will be fundamentally altered and rebuilt around a collectivist model managed and controlled by the same criminals who engineered the crisis in the first place.
America has been targeted for an economic, military, and social coup d’état by globalists who know that to get people to accept a new way of life under the heel of the new world order requires that the pillars of everything they knew before are completely pulverized. Freedom, prosperity, and community have no place in a “post-industrial revolution,” and every assault on the living standards of American citizens is designed to infect and wither these ideals.
We are looking at a road warrior style collapse of society within two years if the entities that orchestrated the crisis are allowed to pose as saviors and institute their austerity fascism, carbon taxes, “green economy,” post-industrial revolution, and the evisceration of America’s first world status that will inevitably follow if such measures are allowed to pass.
The plan for America is to sink the country into chaos so that it can be swallowed whole and consumed as part of the march towards global government. The globalists want to do to America what they have done to the third world, by creating an underclass of impoverished and deprived citizens who are dependent on government for their every need.
Millions of Americans have been dumbed-down to the point where, as major newspapers announce that the country is heading into a third great depression, as unemployment soars, as police departments announce they will no longer be responding to crimes, and as infrastructure crumbles, the top story this afternoon on Yahoo.com, the most heavily trafficked website in the country, was about how Brad Pitt had shaved off his beard.

Likewise, as society and the economy collapses around them, Americans are more concerned about protesting the decision of a basketball player to move to another team.
However, a growing number of grass-roots movements are now bringing people together under the banner of resentment against big government. This has led to political victories for anti-incumbent candidates who now seriously threaten to dilute the two-party power monopoly in Washington this November. This has led individuals close to Obama to openly invoke the need for a domestic terror attack as the only way to rescue his presidency and the wider collectivist agenda.
Globalists are in a race against time to completely destroy everything America stood for so that they can rebuild the country in their likeness. This is why central banks are now abandoning the U.S. dollar as part of the move towards a global union currency backed by a global central bank that will become the world reserve currency for the new world order.
This is why police departments are now announcing they they will no longer respond to a whole list of crimes including burglary. A certain level of lawlessness has to exist in order to justify the total police state lockdown that will inevitably ensue after widespread rioting begins to break out.
This is why crippling austerity measures are being rammed through even as income drops and jobs are lost. Basic services will skyrocket in price or be cut off completely as America is subjected to the “shock therapy” that has been inflicted on lesser nations as a way of gelding the people to accept sub-standard lives of squalor and dependence. Energy prices will soar after the disastrous “green economy” initiatives are implemented, while toll roads, Obamacare, and all manner of new consumption taxes will dry up whatever disposable income they have left.
The world government will be built from the ashes of the worldwide depression engineered by the financial terrorists who have set in motion a chain of events that only has one conclusion unless we are able to properly identify these globalists for who they are.
Anyone in a position of power who is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberg Group or the Trilateral Commission is an enemy of America and needs to be stripped of their office, shorn of their influence and identified as a criminal working behind the scenes to bring about the end of the United States as a first world nation.
Only through exposure and a political drive to squeeze the influence and power of these individuals can we hope to lessen the impact of their nightmarish plans for America.
