Never Listen To A Feminist’s Opinion About Helping Boys

There’s been a trend lately of books by feminist authors writing about boys and their problems. Seems the impact of declining fortunes for boys (in the feminist dominated West) is beginning to penetrate the blocklike skulls of the cuntiscenti. Does this mean the formerly delusional are finally powering down the furry hamster deflector shields protecting their fragile grrlpower egos? Eh, not so fast. Reading the excerpts and reviews of these tomes of deeply shallow thought quickly reveals that the feminist propaganda machine is still churning out man-hating boilerplate at maximum capacity. The only difference is that the shrieking stridency has been replaced by soft-pedaled coos of subterfuge.

Case in point: a new book by self-described feminist Lisa Bloom. From the introduction:

At this very moment, through no fault of their own, our boys are caught in the vortex of four powerful, insidious, often invisible forces that conspire to rob them of their future.

The first line sounds promising so far. A realtalking sister? Pfft. Please. Check your hopefulness at the door. If you need to know one thing about bitches who write books about boys, it’s that they are constitutionally incapable of tackling the shortcomings of their own sex and the detrimental policies advocated by their mouthpieces. Which will be demonstrated below, as you find out fast how easily Bloom slips into, in so many words, the phonyfuck talk of “what boys need is more feminism and de-masculinizing reprogramming”.

First, our heartbreakingly subpar schools. To say that twenty-first-century America doesn’t value education is like saying Donald Trump doesn’t prioritize humility. Class sizes grow, as kids sit on the floor or are crammed into “temporary” classrooms in hallways or bathrooms. School buildings crumble, leak, and emit toxic fumes.

Lie number one. The US is third among countries for amount spent per pupil. When you break it out by race, you find that American white students can compete with the best of them from Europe. The truth that mass market dreckmeisters like Bloom won’t touch?: The students, not the schools, are the problem.

I didn’t read anything in this wordy excerpt about Title IX causing the closure of many men’s sports programs to cater to girls who have less inclination to play sports. I didn’t read about the glorification of girls’ self-esteem and the demonization of boys’ unique characteristics. Not a word about the decades-long push to force naturally unenthusiastic girls into boys’ STEM subjects. Or all the freebies, gimmedats, affirmative action and social support networks, built up over generations by dykish feminists, available to girls that boys, especially white boys, are barred from exploiting.

In 1992 presidential candidate Ross Perot warned of the giant sucking sound we’d hear if the North American Free Trade Agreement passed, sending American jobs to Mexico, but even Perot could not have imagined the gargantuan vacuum created when millions of American manufacturing jobs were siphoned off to China, India, and elsewhere. Those jobs are now extinct in America. The giant sucking sound turned out to be a muted, steady bleed-out of the blue-collar male work force.

Not a word about uninvited mass migration from Latin America placing downward pressure on blue collar wages, except to crow in Ellis Island-ese about immigrant moxie. How much you want to bet this schoolmarm is all for open borders?

As they are negotiating their way through our miserable schools and jobless economy, our popular culture—the third soul-leeching, invisible force—seduces our boys with flashy, loud messages that manhood equals macho bravado, emotional numbness, ignorance, and thugdom.

Boy stuff bad. Girl stuff good. Let’s make our boys deferential betas, emotional sissies, well-read critics of feminist lit and THUPER THENTHITIVE Iron Johns. Strangely, not a peep from Bloom about the blame due all those single moms squirting out the tidal wave of unmanageable orclings.

“I got mushrooms, I got acid, I got tabs,” raps Eminem, idol to many boys, “I’m your brother when you need some new weed . . . I’m your friend.”

“I kissed a girl” — Katy Perry. “And I liked it” — Lisa Bloom

There is one road for boys who don’t overcome their failing schools, who aren’t exceptional enough to find a job where there is none, who absorb the message that real men express anger via gun violence or who use or sell drugs to escape or to make a few bucks, and that road has one dead-end terminus: our ever-expanding, bursting-to-the-seams prisons.

Lie number two. I’m going to call Bloom out for this even though I’m too lazy to scour for the relevant data. I bet if you break out incarceration rates by race, you’ll find again that the rate for white Americans compares favorably with Europeans. Or at least the difference isn’t so stark. I don’t have a beef with reforming the prison system so that fewer nonviolent offenders like pot smokers are locked up, but to imply that the nation’s boys would be better off if more thugs were released into public circulation is the height of non-sequitur stupidity.

More relevantly, Bloom could talk about reducing prison rape, which is a REAL black stain on America’s moral standing. But then she’d have to turn in her feminist bona fides and admit that more men than women are victims of rape. And we can’t have that, what with RAAAAPE cries being such a useful fundraiser for the man-hating dyke brigade.

We may be the last country on the planet to lock up juveniles—overwhelmingly boys—for life-without-parole sentences for crimes committed when they were minors.

Another sterling contribution from America’s single moms! Rebuttal, Mzz Bloom? *crickets*

But there is a great deal we as parents can do at little or no cost to give our boys the advantages they need right now to jack up their odds of finishing high school, going to college, and leading a decent, free life in which they can not only support a family but also contribute to their communities.

Lie number three. Not everyone is cognitively capable of succeeding at college. In fact, the number of boys who could handle college life is only around 25% of the population, and likely less than that. If your premise starts and finishes with college attendance, your policy and your good intentions will fail.

Why is this book about boys rather than all our kids—boys and girls? Shouldn’t we be concerned about girls’ literacy, for example, and making sure that they too stay in school, fend off negative cultural messages, and become adults who find productive work so that they can support their families too?

Hell, yes, we should!

So certain are you? Female economic empowerment has rendered large swaths of working class men unattractive to women who can support themselves. A truly insightful thinker would ask if getting women out of the workforce might actually improve men’s employment prospects *and* their willingness to settle down and support a family for whose welfare they would then exercise a great responsibility.

As I said all along, the problem of American ignorance applies equally to both genders. The distractions may be different (girls: Real Housewives, TMZ; guys: ESPN,Call of Duty),

Notice how this slippery eel conflates sports with celebrity worship, as if they were equal vices.

but the lack of focus, the disconnection, is the same. (In fact, I can now report that it may be even worse for guys, as we shall see throughout this book.)

You’d think it would kill her to use the term “men” instead of “guys”. But, hey, that would get in the way of her work building up boys’ self-esteem.

At my speaking events around the country, parents would talk to me about the challenges of raising girls, but they would also tell me about the problems they were having with their sons: falling behind in school; addiction to video games; inability to communicate socially; music, TV, and films that encourage boys to become macho jerks; how hard it was for them to get their son to pick up a book.

Maybe because the books available to boys are feminized schlock? I mean, has this broad seen a typical English class high school multicult reading list lately? What boy could take pride in reading the sniveling guano of grievance mongers and slam poetesses?

Is everything a bright-line gender issue? Of course not. But there is no getting around facts like the beauty industry markets almost entirely to women (and its incessant ads make us feel ugly and flawed), and Grand Theft Auto is overwhelmingly played by boys (and depicts for them a manhood defined by fighting, guns and violence).

Lie number four. The culture does not create innate sex predilections; it reflects and amplifies them. Sex differences are real, hard-wired, and exist from the moment of birth. You do boys no service by telling them their preferences are pathological and forcing them into learning tracks that turn them away from their natures.

Gender still marks so much of how the world approaches us. (To those who break out of traditional gender molds, I salute you.)

Part of the problem is that too many men and women are breaking out of “traditional gender molds”. But such crimethought would require a less reflexive compulsion to supplant substance with shibboleth.

So a quick note about generalizations: as a lifelong feminist (my dad used to say I needed “consciousness lowering”), I bristle at gender stereotypes—false claims made about an entire group. “Women are lousy drivers.” “Men are better with money.” Uh, no. Statistically speaking, the reverse of each of those statements is true, as we shall see.

Lie number five. Women really are worse drivers than men. And where men suffer more traffic fatalities, women get into more nonfatal crashes. “As we shall see”, indeed.

That “Uh, no” is a dead giveaway of femcuntery. It’s right up there with the “Wow, just wow” faux shock moral indignation that lefties burp out when they hear a taboo truth uttered stone cold straight instead of draped in euphemestic SWPLcode. “Uh, no, I will not allow that obviously true generalization about the sexes to soil acceptable discourse.” “Wow, just wow, I can’t believe you said something I secretly believe is true but will never say because I’m too desperately needy to risk the loss of empty status points and invites to cocktail parties.”

I don’t care how much a feminist claims to have the best interest of boys in heart, if she immediately reverts to “uh, no” close-minded feminist shorthand, you can expect a cascade of 500+ pages of steaming bullshit coming your way.

Sadly, every day assumptions are still made about individual women and men based on sexist stereotypes, ignoring individual talents and merit. A woman is perceived as “softer,” less promotable, and less of a leader simply because of her gender. A man is told he wouldn’t be as good at caring for children because “women are naturally better caregivers.” Pernicious biases restrict individuals from demonstrating their own unique gifts, training, and skills.

The war against pattern recognition marches onward. You’ll know the enemy is sensing defeat when they start reaching for the nuke button.

I do not traffic in gender stereotypes, I assure you.

I really don’t think you have to assure us. You’ve made you inability to grapple with this issue in an original and impartial manner very clear.

I simply follow the research to see what it tells us about girls and boys, women and men, and report it to you straight.

The five lies above, all within your book’s introduction, say otherwise.

When I found a small but statistically insignificant bit of information, I left it out.

Translation: “All that nasty research proving the existence of innate sex differences? Yeah, you don’t need to upset yourself with that boy stuff.”

And naturally, every child is different. Even in our thuggish, hypermacho culture, there are boys who are gentle, who love art and theater and dance, who are kind and compassionate.

And finally we get to the crux of her campaign to save our boys. She wants to turn them gay. The more gay/girly our boys get, the better for our gloriously feminist society!

In our failing schools there are boys who read Shakespeare on their own and check out ten library books at a time.

No thanks to feminists.

Despite the drumbeat of bad news for minorities, I met Latino and African American boys in East Harlem who are beating the private school kids in advanced robotics competitions.

Pending “Lie number six” designation, I’m gonna need to see a cite for this extraordinary claim.

Although particular cultural pressures are at play for boys generally, your son—every boy—is unique and deserves to be loved and approached as he is.

Even the serial killers who get tons of love letters from admiring women?

He’s not a statistic; he’s one-of-a-kind. Of course. I get that. I have a son too.

“And so therefore I am qualified to write about the entire population of boys.”

The real lesson of “Swagger” is this: How do dumbass, lying feminists continue getting books published?

Oh yeah. The publishing industry is filled with women and gays. Maybe it could use a little more diversity on staff, like, say, straight men.

  1. I think the time will come, once again, in which the biological basis of sex differences will once again be accepted as scientifically true as well as common sense. There was an article in the NYT over the weekend (or maybe it was WSJ) that covered a pathbreaking study of twins in the 1970s which showed that IQ is mainly genetically determined and heritable. The article outlined the shaming and outgage from the scientific community at the time, but also that the findings (since replicated in many other studes) are now widely believed to be true. 30 years is far too long, but given the diminishing footprint of PC conformism in science (and the growth of evolutionary considerations in psychology and other disciplines), it may take less time than that. The half-life of the toxic effects of 1970s-style feminism (and associated other -isms) is finite.

what the fuck to femcunts expect acfter dey deocnstsructed da GREAT BOOKS FOR MENZ!!! lzozlzlozoz

the fmecunts strapped on cocks and buttfucked the GRETA BOOSK CODE FO HONORZ!!! lozolzlzozozoz

      CODE OF HONRO!!! lzozozlzl

Every single CODE of HONOR was created by MEN, and then corrupted by WOMEN via the banker’s FEMINIST MOVEMENT which is fundamentally immoral as it fronts the conversion of fiat debt into wealth and assets via transferring such entities from men to women.

      Women created the Vagina Monologues.

      Men CREATED:

The Japanese Bushidō (武士道)—the way of the warrior—is the Samurai code of honor, and it has many parallels with the Western concept of chivalry, and again, it emphasizes not physical strength, but spiritual strength, virtue, and righteousness. The seven primary virtues are:

      •Rectitude (義 gi?)
      •Courage (勇 yuu?)
      •Benevolence (仁 jin?)
      •Respect (礼 rei?)
      •Honesty (誠 makoto or ?, 信) shin
      •Honour (誉 yo?)
      •Loyalty (忠 chuu?)
      And the expanded list includes:
      •Filial piety (孝 kō?)
      •Wisdom (智 chi?)
•Care for the aged (悌 tei?)

Perhaps the most influential code of honor in the Western world has been Moses’ Ten Commandments—simple principles that thunder on down through all the Founding Fathers’ and great economists’ writings, from Adam Smith (who once considered becoming a minister!), to Mises and to Hayek; and thus simple principles underlying western entrepreneurship and common business law. In a 1906 speech before congress, Mark Twain cited the Ten Commandments alongside the Constitution in his defense of copyrights. And here they are:

      The Ten Commandments
      Deut. 5.1-21
1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
      5 thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
10 but the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honor thy father and thy mother:
      13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
      15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor’s.

Note how Buddha prefaces his precepts with “I undertake,” emphasizing the importance of action.

      Buddha’s Eight Precepts
      1. I undertake to abstain from causing harm and taking life (both human and non-human).
      2. I undertake to abstain from taking what is not given (stealing).
      3. I undertake to abstain from sexual activity.
      4. I undertake to abstain from wrong speech: telling lies, deceiving others, manipulating others, using hurtful words.
      5. I undertake to abstain from using intoxicating drinks and drugs, which lead to carelessness.
      6. I undertake to abstain from eating at the wrong time (the right time is eating once, after sunrise, before noon).
      7. I undertake to abstain from singing, dancing, playing music, attending entertainment performances, wearing perfume, and using cosmetics and garlands (decorative accessories).
      8. I undertake to abstain from luxurious places for sitting or sleeping, and overindulging in sleep.

The Feminist movement deconstructed all of these exalted CODES OF HONOR and transformed the world into a shopping mall, while forcing men to pay for their clothes and birth control at gunpoint, seizing their children, drugging them up, and dumbing them down in schools that no longer teach of HONOR nor of THE GREAT BOOKS FOR MEN.

The Austrian Economist Joseph Schumpeter stated that the stock market is a poor substitute for the Holy Grail, and in Arthurian Legend, only the most chivalrous knights ever found it. In the 14th Century, the Duke of Burgandy listed the chivalric virtues of the Knights.

      Faith
      Charity
      Justice
      Sagacity
      Prudence
      Temperance
      Resolution
      Truth
      Liberality
      Diligence
      Hope
      Valour

The Song of Roland (La Chanson de Roland), composed between 1140 and 1170, is the oldest surviving major work of French literature, and it presents The Knights’ Code of Chivalry and the Vows of Knighthood. You will note that the majority of the precepts pertain not to physical battle, but to spiritual purity and righteous action.

To protect the weak and defenceless
To give succour to widows and orphans
To refrain from the wanton giving of offence
To live by honour and for glory
      To despise pecuniary reward
To fight for the welfare of all
To obey those placed in authority
To guard the honour of fellow knights
To eschew unfairness, meanness and deceit
      To keep faith
To at all times to speak the truth
To persevere to the end in any enterprise begun
To respect the honour of women
To never refuse a challenge from an equal
To never turn the back upon a foe
To fear God and maintain His Church
To serve the liege lord in valour and faith

Fellas–not GAME, but the CODE OF HONOR is what you must learn first and foremost!

For Heartiste’s greatest asset–his most formidable entity form which all his game derives–is his deep, profound sense of manly HONOR.

I have never wanted children, but my woman has been nagging me for one for years. At this point, she doesn’t want the risk/expense of having one naturally, so she has brought up adoption. I have adopted sisters, so I have experience there. And my woman is from a country with plenty of orphans, so we could probably get one without much hassle. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are probably moving in with us soon (we have plenty of room in our house, and I genuinely like them). So, I’m less and less turned off by the idea of having a young one around (three female caregivers under the roof!). My woman would definitely prefer a daughter, and you know, with all the trends underway, I would prefer a daughter too. Why try to raise, and unleash upon the world, a man these days? I have fought losing battles before, and I think raising a boy would be too frustrating.

Trust me you do not want your mother-in-law moving in with you…

Previously I had a girlfriend whose mother lived with her, and I insisted that she get rid of her dog and mother-in-law, or the relationship was over. She got rid of her dog after a few weeks, and so I broke up with her. It took her over 6 months to get rid of her mother, at which point I resumed the relationship.

Once your MIL moves in, she won’t want to move out… you will probably end up moving out instead… be warned!

That’s because it is. It’s something liberal idiots do to make themselves feel good inside. They take some poor African child in as if it’s a Pekingese. Never mind the identity problems they get growing up.

Well, my adopted sisters are third worlders, and my woman, who is hot and feminine (and undoubtedly, much smarter than your bumfuck hillbilly ass) is the same.
So, their adopted parents were also liberal tards. I really can’t blame your hostility, but given that you’re quick to paint me as a member of the Hatfield/McCoy set, I must conclude that you’re a liberal tard as well.

And what the fuck does the second sentence of your original comment mean? You write gibberish. Wipe the drool off your chin before you type next time, lest you infect your keyboard with inbred cum.

Okay tard, I’ll go through it bit by bit so your Ethiopian IQ will (perhaps) get it:

“Sure, it does suggest you can’t relate to your own nation’s women, but given the femcunts and fatties that are so common in Western countries, if she’s hot and doesn’t control you, then we can easily overlook it.”

I’ll rephrase: “The fact you married a third worlder does suggest that you can’t relate to your own nation’s women.” Which makes you beta. Clear enough?

The second part of the sentence was my trying to be diplomatic: “BUT… femcunts and fatties are common in Western countries… therefore, if you married a hot woman, we’ll be easier on your betatude.”

However, I forgot that, since you most certainly are a liberal SWPL tard, you undoubtedly feel that femcunts and fatties are your comrades, so I just insulted your comrades.

        Suit yourself…

Don’t adopt – have your own, if at all possible.

Adopted kids are those rejected by others, there is going to be some reason for this – usually not pleasant.

Plus, an adopted kid will not look like you, act like you, have the same tastes as you or be like you in any way…

If you can’t have your own – due to your wife having some issues – then get a donor egg, and use your sperm – at least then the kid is 1/2 yours.

But if we do, it will be under my conditions: grandma, aunt, and mother in the house to help raise the child. They are all from a traditional, conservative country where the man rules the roost. In fact, everyone who knows about this potential situation is envious, because they know I will get the royal treatment.

And if you really want to be alpha about it, give the sperm to the surrogate mother (selected by yourself according to exacting standards, of course, of course) the direct way.

I know this blog is heavy on evolutionary biology, and I know there are unseen forces at work that drive us to do the things we do. But I’m not a reductionist. There are plenty of things that make us happy that have nothing to do with passing on our genes. Raising someone else’s child may be “cuckolding” in a strict genetic sense, but it’s more complicated than that. For example, if my stepbrother and his wife were to die in an accident, would I refuse to raise their orphan child because it amounts to cuckolding?

Why pass your days with a clenched fist, raging against the system that punishes your son, when your wife can raise a nice, traditional, feminine girl who will have more opportunities?

Girls have way too much freedom and chance to get into trouble these days. I would take sons over daughters anytime. (My own, not some adopted kid, especially American. What American these days has a child and gives it up for adoption? Sociopaths?)

The only reason I am even considering having a child now is my station in life. I have a nice house, a large garden, and a dog. I am less interested in adventures outside the home. I also like watching things grow. It’s not about passing on my genes, but the act of raising a child that interests me. I’m still a long ways from committing to this, but just one year ago, I was 100% against having a kid. Now, I’m about 70-80% against having a kid.

    • Its not the Twilight series that should be read (or watched) by boys – rather, it is one of the seminal episodes of The Twilight Zone – To Serve Man.

In To Serve Man, some aliens land on Earth. They present themselves as amicable, and begin to perform wondrous feats, like making the deserts bloom. Government agents (or academicians, I don’t remember) begin to interpret their book into English, and learn it is entitled “To Serve Man.” All is good.

The continue interpreting the book, and soon, humans are volunteering, including one of the protagonist, to travel to the aliens’ planet.

After humans are already being transported, the book has been translated enough such that the humans figure out that “To Serve Man” is a cookbook. Making the deserts bloom was part of fattening them up.

Any feminist book about men and boys should be called, “To Serve Guys.” Whatever they propose has a singular purpose: the better to eat you with.

Here’s a video about “To Serve Man”:

    • Why does she recommend these books for boys, pray tell? Because it shows men as protectors of weak women? Now here’s an interesting tidbit. Stephanie Meyer was actually rewriting the first book from Edward’s point of view and it was quite interesting. It got leaked online, which is where I read it, and I don’t know if she finished it or not. It got a lot more in-depth into the struggle Edward faced in not killing Bella.

What’s also interesting is that the series lift a bit from some British classics. The first book does the whole Pride and Prejudice routine. The second a bit of Romeo and Juliet. The third’s love triangle reminds one a lot of Wuthering Heights. So, the fourth book, is actually my favorite as it is most original and it focuses on Bella’s ability to love and protect as the saving grace of the whole band of monsters.

      • British Lit is tricky material to lift from. I had a great professor who had us read Jane Eyre and set aside passages where she states “Reader, I -” IE she addresses the audience. The plot is ho hum if you take what she says at face value, but our professor told us to assume, in a 2nd analysis, that she was lying.

I recommend you try it; the book makes INCREDIBLE sense if you assume Jane is lying to the audience to cover her motives. I believe seriously the works of the Bronte sisters deal in tremendous deception of the audience, in a way which is undoubtedly more apparent to female readers than male. They were, as we now acknowledge, “ahead of their time.”

TLDR; just because its a “great classic” does not mean that it isn’t steeped in similar gender warfare that we face today.

        Like

      • That is so interesting, Redleg. What did your professor think Jane was trying to deceive the reader about? Was writing the book actually Bronte’s way of trying to show her innocence in the whole matter with her professor? I found the character of Rochester to be very deceptive (pretending to be a fortune teller to “test” Jane, hiding his wife in the attic, etc.). It would be fun to reread through the game theory lense too. I find that whole story endlessly fascinating.

“just because its a “great classic” does not mean that it isn’t steeped in similar gender warfare that we face today.” You are absolutely right. There are only new twists to old stories.

I found the character of Rochester to be very deceptive (pretending to be a fortune teller to “test” Jane, hiding his wife in the attic, etc.).

Rochester was an archetypical alpha male of his era, which included being a manipulative badass. World travelling, rich, mysterious, volatile and emotional, he represented the full extent of a masculine capability and power in his time. Every awesome quality Bronte gives Rochester is really meant to imply the power of men in England, so doesn’t skimp on the alpha. The ultimate proof of his status was his ability to cover and dismiss a prior marriage, (though it was to an implied mulatto and therefore, at the time, of lesser value). This is a telling inclusion by Bronte. Notice, for Jane to succeed, the ex wife has to be crazy, has to be foreign, and has to die. Even more telling, Rochester has to be burned, blind and crippled, so that she can lead him and control his wealth.

The “Reader, I” lines are used by Jane to suggest that she was the lucky benefactor of chance, or in a tongue and cheek sense, of “divine fortune.” She wants us to believe that her humble, romanticized christianity, her naturalness, allowed her to triumph over the foreign corruption in Rochester’s life.

But if you invert the “Reader, I” lines, instead of being blessed, or natural, Jane’s long-term success is the product of cunning agency. Her actions are calculated, from the very beginning, to seduce and control Rochester. Read closely; half of their dialogue consists of clever, passive shit tests, baiting him to expose himself. Remember she’s a simple, poor, Irish-stock governess, the lowest white collar job in England, and she’s totally at his mercy. Seduction is her only option for advancement, but only if seduction leads to marriage. Marriage, then as now, indebts man to woman.

Remember, the Bronte’s were poor, rustic, christian intellectuals of Irish origin; they had nothing to their name but religion and wit. Their father was a vagrant priest and their brother was an unlucky fuckup who died young. What else did a family of three clever daughters have, but wit? Their books are about controlling powerful men, whether they are powerful in wealth (Rochester) or ambition (Heathcliffe). Jane especially casts her own work as the triumph of goodness over wickedness, but it’s really a subtle way of displaying female power over men in a male-centric age: an intricate and cunning gold-digger’s tale.

        Like

      • I thought the wife having all those negative traits was Bronte’s way of getting back at her professor’s wife. Yes, I did find it interesting that it was only when he had lost all that would naturally attract a woman, he actually got her.

I think its a fascinating discussion, but I don’t believe Jane ever intended to “seduce” Rochester. She could have married someone else as that other guy (forgot his name lol) wanted to marry her and take her on his mission trip as his “sister.” She refused to “settle” if you will and remained loyal to Rochester.

Well, wit is useful, but I don’t know how seductive it is. I don’t see her as a gold-digger at all. She simply stood in very stark contrast to the madness of his wife by her quiet nature and composure. She also saved his life when his wife tried to burn him in his bed. Not only that, but he saw her in a female role as the governess to his daughter. Living together with little outside competition it was only natural they would fall in love even despite the fact that she was not a beauty.

Heathcliff is a horrible character that I read once was based on the Bronte sisters’ alcoholic brother. His selfish obsession with Catherine, so strong as to dig her out of her own grave in order to see her once more, is a haunting one.

Wanna talk Austen next? 🙂 The guys would probably call them beta, but Darcy, Knightley and Wentworth are my favorites. I dread a Colonel Brandon scenario.

    • Doesn’t matter. The platform under which the debate was on was undoubtedly under the standard biases of our times.

Better to use the perceived ascendancy of her genes as a guide. Women suffer when they suffer socially. I would think any prostitute is suffering a status hit to her long term value as a mate the more public and numerous her list of clients is. On the other hand a prostitute that is able to ply her wares discretely and to a few more choice, powerful men would not suffer at all. Certainly the less stigma in the society itself is in play because its directly related to her sexual status.

    • I think prostitution should be legal and universal, but I have to agree with her about the PTSD part. They suffer it in the form of emotional isolation within themselves. Very few women have the psychological makeup to easily separate sex and an emotional connection. Moreover, they sleep with a lot of men most women would reject. I get along well with hookers and usually get them to open up to me a little, relax and have a short chat when I’ve been to them. My observation is that hookers are almost all starved for emotional love, to feel needed and loved as a woman. The PTSD comes from feeling damaged in that regard and having to suppress their feelings so severly. Much of the PTSD comes from a bad childhood as well.

Gender still marks so much of how the world approaches us. (To those who break out of traditional gender molds, I salute you.)

More nonsense. When women break the traditional role and opt for strong, independent qualities of the masculine, they are applauded. When men break traditional gender roles, they are the subject of ridicule and are blasted in books such as “manning up.”

When I come in from work and he usually runs to me and jumps into my arms. After I’ve changed clothes, and am down in the living room again, he’ll say:
    “Dad, let’s fight!”

Then we’ll wrestle on mats – that cover 1/2 the living room – for 20/30 mins.

He also spends a lot of time making Lego swords and we have sword fights.

I’ve had to explain to my wife a few times that this is a very healthy sign in him. That boys/men are born to fight and it’s natural to do so.

The end goal of feminism is a destruction of the so-called “patriarchy” and replacing it with a Matriarchy, under the false assumption that the female view of the world is the correct view of the world. Feminists (and feminized men) are unable to view that assumption since it fundamentally colors every other observation they have about the world.

What also sucks is that these types run the mainstream media, relegating ideas like this to the blogs. The good news is that more and more young guys are reading blogs and getting enlightened by doing an end-run around the media and universities.

Like most feminists with books, this woman will be forgotten within months of her media blitz. And her ideas will be seen as the outdated crap they already are. The bargain shelf awaits you, Lisa Bloom.

My conspiracy theory goes like this: girls love competitive cheerleading. They flock to it unlike, say, tennis and golf. Cheerleading (by girls) is seen by harpy manwyn feminists as, well, feminine, and therefore they poo-poo the pom-pons. Title IX mandates equality among men and womens’ sports receiving federal funding. Allowing competitive cheerleading to be a sport means that schools can even the gender ratio by adding girls on the cheerleading squad. This elbows off girls’ tennis and golf and other snoozer sports which the bearded manwyns at NOW like but that schools often times have to beat the bushes to drum up scholarship recipients. You wouldn’t have that problem if competitive cheerleading was considered the ‘sport’ it CLEARLY is over, say, golf. (Zzzzz) Scowling manwyn feminists win – girls lose.

      • Wrong application of logic. Its not that all men like these things. In fact, it may even be a vast minority who do. However, those that do like these thing are predominately men. Feminism is the result of what stands in for the female leadership. The larger the population, the more on the extreme ends of the bell curve can these women be selected until we have a virtually Amazonian core. In a small village, the alpha female is merely just a bit more assertive but still representative. In a nation of 300 million, they are genetic freaks with little in common with the average woman. Given the white knight instincts and culture of the West, we let them run amok. They have become a deadly parasite on our survival. The West does not scale.

      • haha…what? the average woman likes The Notebook, the average man enjoys watching ESPN in his man cave. just because you probably aren’t part of the statistical average, and don’t associate with anyone who is, doesn’t change reality. male “distributions” may be skewed such that there are more men in the tails when compared to “distributions” for women, but that doesn’t change the fact that the overwhelming majority of people, both male and female, are dumb.

also, sure, the alpha female has little in common with the average woman. but if we assume that men have a wider distribution of traits and talents (as is seen for IQ distributions by gender), since we have a large sample size to select from, then the differences between the extreme tail alpha males and the average male should be even more pronounced.

      • By definition the vast majority would be average, but then I can appreciate the perspective from above. Not sure what we are discussing at this point. My point is feminism is now the creation of an odd lot of women who tend to be nearly male in temperament. That is what large populations and extreme ends of the bell curve provides. The Notebook is a popular entertainment. The driving force behind feminism IMHO is more by an Amazonian cabal.

Didn’t bring up intelligence or SMV.

      • Sorry to get off topic. I was just trying to argue that:

        1) The average male, not the vast minority, likes Bloomin’ Onions (who doesn’t) and this is indeed analogous to stating that women like The Notebook. ALL men don’t consume 3,500 calories of fried onions in one sitting, and similarly, it’s not fair to assume that ALL women are interested in stupid inane bullshit.

        2) There are more men in the “tails,” so it follows that there would be a higher proportion of women interested in common denominator interests, compared to men. I will give you that.

        3) But given (2), the alpha male leaders in this country are likely even further from the average male than feminists from the average female. So, based on your logic, couldn’t I argue that the United States is largely governed by extreme tail alpha males, who don’t resemble the average male whatsoever- and due to our ingrained deference to these alpha males, we let them “run amok” and structure society in a way that benefits them and screws everyone else? (absolutely not saying this is the case)

Sorry, I just get annoyed when men assume that since the majority of women are a certain way, then all women must be that way (or they should conform to be that way). It is also annoying when men assume that since men in the tails are generally the ones doing important things in society, that all men must be capable of doing these things. But I do understand the need and ease of using heuristics.

As to college, its a case of women telling men what’s good for them when they see likewise. I can’t see how she advocates college considering the wall of statistics about the debt and the eventual castration you have to undergo to fit in with employers.

Affirmative action liberal boomers think its great that their baby girls are graduating college (at 57% vs. 43% men) . Meanwhile the only other men who profit from that mindset are the top 10% of alpha athletes. Eventually I would put a healthy estimate at around 65% women vs. 35% men graduating college.

5% alpha athletes to keep filling the coffers of the NFL, etc.
5% alpha MBAs and socially connected frat peers
10% well meaning (beta) white collars
    5% equal opportunity (beta) colorfuls
    10% beta / gay dregs

compared to the 65% of men who are in limbo between street thug and entrepreneur. I’m afraid that women like this confirm my suspicions: the entrepreneur is invisible by diassociation.

Liberal Arts: There’s your answer. They’re mainly there to manginafy men and to give women a notion that they’re actually smart/educated, while parting you with your money doing it. This is not to say that they won’t be educating you when you go there- just that you’ll have largely nothing of value unless you end up being a virtuoso at music or some other form of art- and that all it did in that case is provide an environment to refine your abiliies ON YOUR OWN.

I share some of your criticism of King A too, but on this issue, he has my profound agreement. If you haven’t read the Iliad, for instance, you’re not really educated in the Western Canon. If these names don’t speak to you, you’re not really educated. A sound education in the Classics is the foundation of a good education. They teach this stuff in Japan and make the kids learn it too. Decadence in the West correspionds with our abandonment of the Classics.

      • @Tyrone,

But Kinga and GayBooks don’t extol classical books per se, but primarily the Bible. So theirs is a “False Flag” endeavor, and I’ll have none of it.

I received a classical education, I learned Latin for many years and read Cicero, Livy, Ovid and Caesars work in the original for instance.

However, I did put up a collection of just 3 modern classics that should be read by all thinking men, and it seemed like most here were unfamiliar with them.

The idea that all thinking by the ancients was somehow perfect/complete is false. Humans have evolved in the last 10,000 years, the last 5,000, 2,000 and 500 years – so we are not them. Everyone needs to update their priors to engage in fruitful debate. Armed with the Ancient classics is like going to war with a sword – useful, but not going to be of much use against a machine-gun.

So while I am not advocating NOT reading the classics, I am advocating NOT reading the Bible. For every ancient classic you read, read 2 modern classics – that’s all.

Also, no need to pay attention to Kinga when he lists Gay/Lesbian “Coming of Age/Coming Out” books as modern classic – he’s a clueless dolt.

For politics, nothing beats All the Kings’ Men, which is just unbelievably brilliant.

For smart and entertaining storytelling (with a fairly conservative spin), try anything by Tom Wolfe, especially Bonfire of the Vanities.

For memoir, try The Liars’ Club, by Mary Karr, which was a runaway success and reinvigorated its entire genre.

For true crime, you can’t beat In Cold Blood.

And for extra credit, Cormac McCarthy will make your head spin. Try Blood Meridian, which has already been pronounced a modern classic. (Tough to understand, though.)

        Like

      • A “modern classic” is a contradiction in terms Anon. A work attains classic status by surviving the generations, which it achieves by appealing to the permanent human condition.

Our art and literature are too fragmented and faithless to produce any obvious candidates. The basis by which we “discriminate” and make judgments was deconstructed last century, and since then we are only equipped to recognize novelty (“originality,” “authenticity”) over quality. We first have to fix the postmodern condition before we can discern greatness again, and our ability to inspire greatness begins with recovering that discernment. Until then, Everybody Is The Bestest. And it’s illegal to judge ice cream superior to horseshit.

Our culture has disintegrated into staggering banality. Which is why sites like the Chateau and shows like Carolla’s are so necessary (and so hated by a certain type). They are an archipelago back to the occupied mainland.

The problem is no one is really teaching boys how to be real men who don’t fall on either sides of the extremes. There is a happy medium, but for some reason no one talks about it.

I can say that today (at least in North America) most women are fidning themselves dealing with only two types (the two extremes you mentioned) b/c most women of htis generation do not know what a real man is supposed to look and act like – since they have been so brainwashed by feminisms definitions of manhood (feminism only seeks to recognize the two undesirable extremes you mentioned).

Asian-American students have an average score of 541, similar to those of Shanghai, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea. The non-Hispanic white American student average of 525 is comparable to the averages of Canada (524), New Zealand (521), and Australia (515). In contrast, the average PISA readings score of Latino students is 446 and black students is 441.”
Yes, white American students score better than white Canadians.

BUT DONALDMCRONALD, THAT IS IMPLYING BLACKS AND HISPANICS AREN’T REAL AMERICANS!!1!”

Not at all. Ethnicities share remarkably similar test scores no matter where they are in the world. They get you pats on the back for being able to accurately regurgitate someone else’s opinion onto a scantron. Education is a form of ego for the everyday beta, believing that his credentials makes him a paragon of intellect, special, a part of the elite.

When in reality he is a career parrot, cheap human capital that will be disgorged by capitalism somewhere around the age 40.

Test taking makes disposable human capital, while simultaneously giving a false sense of competence to said capital. This becomes an ego identifier for the unremarkable and average beta.

In short, you can’t convince people who don’t give a fuck about test to invest any effort into doing well on them.

Then again people with the capacity to see through the mirage also know that test taking is a low level cognitive skill and nothing to be proud of. Test taking requires effort for average beta, which is why they are the only group of people who appreciate it.

Anyway, *sigh* nothing is more aggravating than a woman trying to tell a man how to be a man. Feminists speak out the side of hteir asses b/c on one hand they complain about the lack of “men” holding up thier end of the bragain, but they support things and put things in place that would certainly naturally deprive young boys of growing up with a nice balance of what real masculinity is.

one example of this is the feminists condoning of single motherhood and it burns me up. then they wonder why so many “boys are lost”. Yet they complain and write book on why boys are so hypermasculine and aggressive. Well b/c if they don’t have a true masculine man in thier lives to help balance that and/or real examples in real life of masculine men what do they expect is gonna happen? Women know nothing about raising young boys to be masculine men. All they can do is hte motherly stuff of providing and loving them but that is not enough to teach or create a solid well balanced man.

I’ve always maintained that the Black community is a perfect example of what goes wrong when (1) you have too many single mothers and women raising boys to be “men” (2) when women do not know what real manhood looks like and settles for extreme forms of thuggery and machoness as a “make up” for the lack of real men in thier lives to balance them (thier sons manhood) out.

You’re half right. The other half — the part you’ve left out — has to do with nature, not nurture.

These single mothers are passing on the genetics of the types of men who don’t stick around, who don’t hold jobs and who are often in trouble with the law. Both personality and intelligence are to a large degree genetic — and there is ample proof of that if you Google (there is even a new book out that tracks identical twins raised in different environments and the results are scary they’re so similar).

This used to be a “black problem,” but it’s bled its way into almost all communities, where women have disassociated having children with getting married or even staying with a man.

It blows my mind that women will have kids with men and talk about how their spawn has the hair or muscles of that man, yet ignore that the kid also has the man’s propensity for violence, lack of intellectual ability, etc. Why wouldn’t women want to sire the next Bill Gates as much as they want to birth the next street corner thug?

I agree single mothers can’t raise boys as men properly, but they’re also not getting the proper genetic materials with which to do that.

  54. There was an unspoken wisdom in pre-60s Western culture. Men were encouraged to be emotionally strong, disciplined, and masculine; women were encouraged to be feminine, chaste, and nurturing. Inadvertently or not, this reared people with characteristics attractive to the opposite sex. By encouraging people to break free of “gender molds” the 60s social experimenters have made the sexes less attractive to each other.

The excuses she gives for people turning to crime are complete and utter bullshit. In many Western countries the number of students who don’t finish school is much higher than in America, yet the crime rates are much lower. Here in Australia there is no stigma in leaving school whatsoever. You leave school, attend a community college (as I think you call it in America) or learn a trade, and get on with life. You can’t have a society full of historians or sociologists; you need people to work in a variety of jobs. And I think she is wrong to think love of art is going to prevent violence. The Greeks brought poets with them when they were on the warpath, and Vikings stole paintings they liked from the houses of their victims and hung them on their walls when they returned home. This is why Scandinavian museums had a lot of Irish art from the middle ages. So art quashing violent urges seems like nonsense to me.To be fair, though, I’ve read classical music does reduce crime when played at train stations at night.

Lastly, people might stereotype and categorise others because it is beneficial on the some level. It seems odd that something which comes naturally to the majority of our species would be an evolutionary flaw. Of course, she would say it’s taught – after all, it’s all society’s fault.

  62. Amazing no mention of the problem of single mothers raising boys. In this day and age of complete reproductive freedom for women, single mothers are largely perps, not victims, and should be held accountable, not subsidized.

Big dust up yesterday in Denver. A single mother female cop was shot and killed by some 21 yo thug at a jazz festival. She came from Detroit. Odds are long that the shooter is a black male raised by a single mother. (They caught the guy but won’t mention his race. We can conclude he is black.) Think about it. There is cruel cosmic justice at work here.

Denver seems to be going black (black mayor and police chief ), with the usual black gang violence and take back our city rhetoric. The gang members are mainly raised by single mothers. They always assume black=violence, but more likely it is single mothers = violent sons. One single mother on the block = one misfit son. Every mother single = gang warfare.

Black women are the fertile breeding ground for these thugs. These thugs account for a large proportion of the drop out young men and distort the statistics.

White women seem intent on catching up with their black sisters.

When I hear women lecturing on how to raise boys, I get steamed. Women alone do a very poor job of raising boys. Imagine if white men were writing books and going on T.V. lecturing single black and white women on how to raise their girls.

Well, the best thing to do is just to ignore these people, unless of course you enjoy stupidity.

I’d rather girls study math and science than Women’s Studies. Plenty of non-western women (from India and China especially) go into those fields because they have rational, practical reasons for doing so. But why actually take the hard subjects when you can just become a feminist and spend your life bitching at men to fix the problem.

    • I am glad my only child is a girl; the system is rigged against boys. She just graduated from high school, and is headed off to a highly selective university as an Engineering Major. Some girls do have the head for science and math. It can’t be forced on them, they have to be a natural or it doesn’t work. (This is also true of boys. Only a small percentage are good candidates for STEM majors.)

The schools are also biased against white people. All the great books have been replaced by PC crap-novels where the plot is always poor women and children of color oppressed, harassed, and abused, by men, almost always white. The kid said, “I just want to read one book where the white people are the good guys.” They also go to great lengths to present a history where everything that happened is discussed without white males having any positive roles. Basically, if a historical event does not show white males in a bad light, they don’t talk about it, or find a way to discuss it from a woman’s or minority’s viewpoint.

One of the reasons that I “thank” feminists is the damage they do to both males and females, by encouraging single-motherhood. They are responsible for the growing number of gangs which are always in areas which have predominant single-motherhood by teaching that men are violent and destructive. The boys who grow up in that environment know no better and to “try” to be men, they are what they are taught – violent, destructive, children – since that is all they knew growing up. They are throw-a-ways best put in prison since they are worthless. They are thus removed from the pool of competitors – they will never amount to anything – this reduces those who could challenge me in my position.

The girls on the other hand – crave the attention of a strong man since they didn’t have it growing up. This is why I never lack for young women for my bed. Yes, feminism is destructive to civilization, and will lead to its inevitable destruction, but I can’t do anything about that – all I can do is use it to my advantage. And those lovely young women give me what I need – so my life is good.

Why attempt to change something when all of the evidence is there? I’m not the only one who sees it. It is obvious to anyone with a brain – but too many people WANT it that way since it gives them power. Changing things to the way they should be, denies those people power and they will destroy anyone who tries – look at the attacks on the MRA’s who are challenging them. Why even try? Why not use it to your advantage? I’m not going to waste time fighting battles I cannot win – so I will see how I can use things to my advantage. All of the single-mothers means there will always be young women craving a strong man to prove themselves for. They will do ANYTHING to get what they crave – approval from a father figure they never had. Why not use it to your advantage? Give them your attention, as long as they are giving you something in return – what women have always given, their bodies, hearts, minds, and souls…

It may not be “nice” but “nice” gets you nothing… The present status-quo gives me plenty of young women for my bed, and they are willing to pay for the privilege, by paying their own way to travel with me, and are willing to take whatever shit I throw out. Why would I want things any other way? Yes, it is living off the carcass that was once a great nation, but I didn’t kill it – but I will use it to my advantage, like any intelligent man should.

Of course, before I understood how to use things to my advantage, I gnashed my teeth and tried to change them, but in the end it was just a waste of my time, my effort, and my money. These days I have plenty of money – using the present system, my efforts are minimal since I use things as they are to benefit me – although in a round-a-bout way, and I have plenty of time to enjoy life. And look at all of the young people who vote for things to be this way… They WANT this…. So who am I to stand in the way? I will find a way to win no matter how the rules change, since they will never change in the ways they need to.

I am John Galt, shaking my head at all of the sheeple out there who have been indoctrinated and can’t think for themselves. So I encourage things to fail, by taking money out of the system and putting it into my pocket. There are still tangible assets that can’t be devalued like paper money. Many people act like hamsters on that wheel running faster and faster and getting no where… But they keep doing the same things.

    http://www.newson6.com/story/18875909/bartlesville-woman-charged-with-lu

A 15 year-old guy is at the gym (with his mom, unfortunately). Apparently, a 24 year-old blonde starts flirting with the guy, asking him to spot her on the bench press, etc.

The 24 year-old then takes the 15 year-old into the tanning room, locks the door, takes off her clothes.

Within minutes, the guy’s mom starts pounding on the door, and drags the 24 year-old out of the room. When it appears that she is wearing only a sports bra, the mother lets the girl go. The girl hides in the tanning room until the police arrive. She’s charged with a sex offense that will probably ruin her life.

Laying everything at the feet of women was the glorious whoopee cushion fart sound at the end of your post. The growth of government, my friend, was going to happen regardless. It’s the nature of civilizations. Read a bit more, and you’ll see.

[heartiste: you’re probably right that gov’t would have grown regardless of the enfranchisement of women, but a well-known study by lott concluded that the introduction of women to the voting rolls gradually but perceptibly began an increased shift of gov’t to the left. chicks love handouts and security, and they generally vote that way (until a man makes them prenuptally honest, at least).]

Look, governments grow in response to successfully overcoming challenges. Governments also grow in response to increased societal complexity. The US has encountered a lot of both in the last 100 years. That’s why its growth was inevitable.

Your idea that women were solely responsible for the growth of big federal government gives women a lot more credit, as a voting bloc, than they deserve. A hell of a lot of poor men voted for the New Deal too, you know?

Yeah, up to a certain point, more government means more peace inside the country and better chances at defending yourself against other countries wanting to take a chunk of your land. Less govt. means more selfish nobles taxing you and doing almost whatever they want with you because you’re on their land (sorry about going that far back in history, but that’s where it’s apparent). But it seems government also often grows without doing much good, only micromanaging of people’s lives, which stunts innovation and is in general a waste of time. So “government growing” is not obviously a negative thing or a positive thing on its own.

      • Its not going to happen under this regime, I agree. But I have reached the conclusion.that universal franchise is not feasible because the lower classes keep voting for more benefits from the wealthy through the urgence of demagogues and eventually corrupt and bankrupt the state. That is what is happening to our republic now. Any man can become a property owner or serve.

This is the only effective way to control demagogues. The Peloponesian War was drawn on and on in part because the peasant boys who would normally have been working those farms Sparta was burning, made much more money as rowers in the Athenian fleet and consistently voted for war at every opportunity for peace.

To quote King Mithradates: “Most men do not seek freedom, but rather, a just master”. Most of us here would support such a system, it would also benefit the most people to the greatest extent and provide the most personal freedom. You wouldn’t have seen stupid shit like the prosecution of a 24 year old girl for seducing a 15 year old boy when men made the rules
The steady decline of fun for men is commensurate with the rise in women voters.

Heinlein let women vote and serve in Starship Troopers. That is where I diverge with him. In Starship Troopers anyone could serve in the military and service included all manner of work, even to allow invalids the chance to serve. The idea was that you had to have worked for and served the entity you were intending to help operate. Switzerland does this too and it keeps the country wrapped tight. The Swiss understand how much culture and ethnicity are intertwined, as well as how much comon endeavor binds a nation. Multi-culturalists hate Switzerland because they’re right and they know it.

Not only did Phinn not mention any of those actions in his post, but I suspect the majority of them would have been agreed to by the kind of electorate he suggested. We are not arguing for anarchy here, and your reaction reeks of reductio ad absurdum. I will grant you that a tendency toward increased government size and power is to be expected as time goes on. However, I will maintain that there is a point that such an increase becomes increasingly counterproductive, to the point where it becomes nothing less than an existential threat.

“Are you f’ing serious? With less than 10 percent of the nation having served in the military? And a property ownership requirement that eliminates half of our cities’ populations?”

Dead serious, mate. It is a model that has served well for centuries. The biggest problem with democracy in early 21st century America is that extends the right of suffrage to millions who are incapable of making an informed decision. Hence, you find a situation where the onset of stifling bureaucracy and the gradual reduction of civil liberties becomes the real inevitability.

“Funny how your idea greatly benefits a certain type of person … YOU.”

He has earned the right due to his level of education, but tell me, how many of the current voters whom you so vigorously defend have? How many of them can list at least half of the freedoms extended by the Bill of Rights? How many could pass an 8th grade economics exam? How many of them could even find the United States on a map?

At what point do we decide the level of intelligence and responsibility in our electorate? Would you hold us to a performance standard, or none at all. If the latter, why not extend suffrage to children? As it stands there is scarcely any difference between a large swath of our current electorate and the as of yet disenfranchised children of America.

Next, she went into a tirade about how men should be allowed to wear dresses and work in traditionally feminine roles (housewife, midwife, seamstress, etc.) if they wanted to, and she was going to stand up for this right. She continued to go on about how men were being oppressed by not being allowed to explore or show their innate femininity, yadda, yadda, yadda. Several paragraphs and not a damn thing about false rape accusations and the lack of due process, unfair child custody laws, unjust alimony laws, paltry men’s healthcare spending, misandry-filled tv, misandry-filled schools or anything else that real-life actual men actually give a damn about.

  72. Speaking of mothers repressing their sons (tried replying to Phinn above but it’s not letting me post for some reason…) – I just finished reading D.H. Lawrence’s “Sons and Lovers.” To me, it is extremely accurate in its portrayal of the psychological manipulations that mothers are capable of inflicting on their sons. Unsatisfied with their husbands and lives in general, mothers pour themselves into their sons in a way that is different from the way they dedicate themselves to their daughters.

I speak from firsthand experience – I’ll never forget the withering look that I received from my mother-in-law the first time I met her. Never before had I seen or spoken to her, yet she hated me with a passion. While she has come to accept me in some small way as her son’s wife, I am sure she still wishes that I did not exist. My father-in-law is beta to the extreme, and is not as smart as my mother-in-law. So she worked through her resentment towards her husband through total psychological orientation towards her son. Her son became the “man” in her life. It is disgusting. I don’t know which is worse – divorcing the husband whom you promised to be with but are unhappy with, or psychologically dominating a young man and potentially ruining his ascent into manhood. Luckily enough, though my husband still certainly has some “mother issues,” he was able to escape from her grasp for the most part and start a new life with me. I still marvel at how well he turned out as a man, given the manipulating, domineering mother he had.

      Right.

Some of the most heinous feminists today, are Montessori or Kindergarten Teachers – our sons must be protected from them.

Of course teachers in general, but especially female teachers, suffer from delusions of intellectual grandeur and unnatural desire to control and mold (aka indoctrinate) their students. Liberals, being idealists, usually end up as teachers.

There is a short step from Idealism –> Totalitarianism

  75. Regarding adopting children
I think it’s great if you want to do that. It’s better than 45 old women experimenting with several eggs in a petrie dish then aborting the less viable ones and putting the viable egg back in the oven.

and kids who are not adopted are raised in foster homes where bad things might happen to them so let me suggest the following.
    “Dangerous Proposition # 1”

    A return to polygamy.
I’ve seen nice looking white women w/ white kids dating black men b/c they couldn’t find a white man who would date them and apparently Roscoe doesn’t mind (or enjoys shacking up w/ Whitey’s woman and child).

If men could marry-date-support more than one woman in a socially accepted manner I think we could turn around this ocean liner of Western Decay.

Maybe the old Mormons were onto something. Polygamy gives men what they want ( WOMEN ) then demands the men support the wives and kids.

Also in old time China baby girls were tossed in the river b/c they were a burden on the family. Polygamy allows these surplus females to survive and have a role in society.

    …just a humble idea.

    • That’s been something I’ve advocated for some time. I think you may see defacto polygamy happen among SWPL women of the upcoming generation as well.

While I think your idea is also sound, it needs to be emphasized along with physical education. One of the big reasons we have become a nation of fat fucks is because we no longer teach PE in many schools. Life is more than an intellectual exercise. We are biomechanical machines and have to be well maintained to operate at peak capability. http://www.desertmuseum.org/books/nhsd_plant_ecology.php?print=y

“Unlike overall form or vegetative structures, the sexual parts of plants (flowers and fruits) are reliable indicators of interrelationships and means of identification. Flowers must function successfully if a plant is to reproduce. Therefore the floral structures tend to remain more consistent within a species than do vegetative parts. Floral structures also form complex patterns that are more readily traceable as plants evolve.”

The analog to human survival as far as foliage is concerned is the male because that is the part of humanity most exposed to rapid changes to the environment compared to the more conservative nature of reproduction which happens more slowly. That is why the reproductive parts like flowers are used over foliage to identify a species. Before the flood men ride camels while soon after they man their ships. Meanwhile child birth remains unchanged.

Think of the implications and how it answer the question of why woman often think of fashions(to look for changes in foliage that provide) and why they think men follow a fashion in what they find attractive, when it is in fact not so flexible. If the reproductive parts lag behind immediate needs to address the environment, then it only stands to reason that the male sex drive is the more conservative and unchanging of the two. Fat is not in fashion.

Botanists do not need to be politically correct and so reveal the nature of the sexes in a very rational way.

    The anticipated response is:

“Um, we are not a house plant.”

    “in our thuggish, hypermacho culture,”

All of these are stereotypes. Even if there is some truth to them, these are still stereotypes.

“…our boys are caught in the vortex of … often invisible forces that conspire to rob them of their future.”
Yes, it is true. Namely, feminism and homosexual activism.
“Even in our thuggish, hypermacho culture, there are boys who are gentle, who love art and theater and dance, who are kind and compassionate.”
While denegrating masculinity with STEREOTYPES she joins in ‘conspiring to rob them of their future.’ As CH said, “She wants to turn them gay.”

“every boy—is unique and deserves to be loved and approached as he is.”
Unless, of course, the boy is masculine, ‘hypermacho jerk’, plays GTA or other video games, plays/watches sports, or ‘thuggish’. No, these boys don’t deserve to be loved and approached(?huh!!?) as he is. In that case, the need to be cured of their gender stereotypes and become dancers and emo artists and theatre queens and ‘gentle’.

That’s just absurd. It’s another example of feminism’s comparing their warped views of the present cultural realities with their imagine feminist utopia, with zero historical or cross culture perspective on what has prevailed elsewhere, or at least none that’s usually admitted, expect when excoriating “the patriarchy”.

There has never been a time in America when the culture has less promoted macho bravado for men less than currently, and probably never been a culture in history which has less done so and more preached against it, under American feminist influence in Hollywood and on TV, etc.

    • I think the main problem is that boys shouldn’t be taking cues from popular culture (girl’s shouldn’t either but that is a lost cause). If you stick to hollywood movies, the masculinity isn’t that bad, hollywood caters to male interests because women have proven they will watch either way no matter what the feminist critics say. The problem is that it’s taken to such absurd extremes that it doesn’t help an average guy. It’s easy to be attractive by default when you have godlike superhero powers or writers contrive scenes where you demonstrate badassery by Not Looking At Explosions. But that’s as much a fantasy as a girl kicking ass like an Angelina Jolie character.

Back in reality, male role models are harder to come by.

I can shed some light on the robotics question at the end. I was involved in a FIRST Robotics team in high school, and it is a pretty decent program involving machining, building and programming your own robot. The competitions themselves had at least a dozen awards to be handed out, including team spirit, volunteerism, and safety. I can easily imagine an inner city school selling their sob story to win an award, but it was always the private or magnet public schools (I was the latter) who won the actual competitions.
